its does have auto focus in video mode both 3d and 2d, you just have to tap the area on the screen you want to focus on.. just like the iphone for example..

Also, there have been complaints about 3d pics coming out green o_0. Its sounds crazy but google it and see for yourself. Cmon htc. I love yall and ima loyal fan but please get it together for the 3rd gen evo next summer.

This is definetly a hot device but I was a little disappointed with a few things. I decided to just stick with my trusty 4g. 5mp camera? Cmon, why would they downgrade? The 3d is cool and all but even with that, the images on the 4g are clearly crisper. The 3ds 2d pics a very subpar. And why no kickstand? To some, it may not be a big deal, but over time, if you have a 4g, you'll see how much it comes in handy. Hit up some evo 3d forums and youll see all the complaints about the speaker. Smh

Absolutely amazing device that I got 2 days ago. I didn't even activate it since i got a Virgin mobile phone so I use it only on WiFi. It is super fast, games run smooth, the 3D camera is amazing! I can see the 3d very clearly and it gives me no headache! 3D videos i recorded look great! Even the 3D stills look good but just remember to focus on something in the background for best 3D effect for stills. The screen is beautiful, love watching Netflix/HBO GO playing games but the speaker is weak.

Possibly, but memory can be upgraded via microSD card up to 32GB. Did you know that the UK Version has a hot swappable microSD card while the American Sprint version does not (need to remove battery to remove miscroSD card).

Dude all of you people bitching about how horrible the battery is must have messed up units bc i took my 3d off the charger at 9 am. Its now 9pm and i have seven bars left and i use my phone alot. Thought they would've used the same layer effect shown on the Sensation when switching home screens. Eg. the numbers on the clock would lift off the clocks background...giving a overlayed effect. And I think HTC should use, or work with Motorola to produce some better speakers/mics. We all know they could benefit from that.

I've had every new android released in the last 2 years from all three carriers. And in my opinion the EVO 3d is the best for many reasons. Also picked up the EVO View as well after returning every other android tablet, and I must say yes it plays Fucking movies from HTC watch, Blockbuster, YouTube of course and yes yes Netflix...! All the others had no movie service witch for is important. Love HTC EVO 3D

Got this today and I'm very satisfied with it, calls are clear, speed is great 3d is good but may not be for everyone but you don't have to use it. Compared the cam to my brothers EVO cam and it actuallywas on par with it. I think I'm gonna keep this EVO 3d :D

Disagree, Socks and sandals by the way is choice and can work. Just as sandals. 3D has a long way to go but can be a feature, but never a huge feature I think. 3D has been around for a long time, and currently ever since Avatar its been being milked.

However it can work for some people however HTC didn't do as well of a job as LG has on their 3D phone.

In some cases it's said the 3D has sacrificed screen clarity compared to HTC Sensation which has the same screen.

For now, no 3D thanks

As much as I found the cam lacking I don't buy phones to take pix really so I'm willing to at least try this phone for 30days to see how it performs because everyone says it's an upgrade from the EVO 4g as far as thats concerned I just think if you're going to use the cam as a big selling point it should be better than what I saw. I'm hoping the over all performance is better in which case I can not worry much about the cam being less than perfect.

I have to completely disagree with you about the camera. I've seen pictures that it has taken from my cousin who is the manager at my local sprint store, and the pictures are AMAZING. there is no "grainy" affect on any of them, no matter the distance of the object. and the video was perfect as well, no artifacts or anything. all i can say is either your lens was smudged, or yours was just simply defective.

I also called Sprint when I got home and the customer service guy said he's been preparing himself for weeks for calls from people about them getting headaches so he wasn't surprised with my call. I got to play with a demo today at Best Buy and I have to be honest the 3d gave me a headache. And there was a problem with the auto focus that seemed to be slow and really effected your videos. Every time you pan left or right the auto focus seemed confused for a few seconds. I have one pre ordered but I have to say I was a bit disappointed with what I saw today as far as the cam was concerned, it wasn't as good as the cam on the EVo I have now.

@Keyo717 you can't really judge a phone's camera based on a display model unless you are one of the first 5 or so people to touch it. the more people that have handled it, the worse it can actually get. people would have smudged the lens up like crazy, or even dropped it a few times, causing the hardware to malfunction. your best bet is to just simply get the phone, try it out yourself, and if you dont like it, then big whoop, you can easily return it.

@HDFoxra They had just gotten the phone in about 15mins before I got to play around with it, they had taken about 10 pics with it and I was the first customer they showed it to so I'm sure the phone was fine. It is what it is the issues with the cam are what they are. As far as the rest of the phone goes I can't comment on but I found the cam to be a major disappointment. I'm getting the phone for $50 with the trade in of my EVO so I'll try it for 30days and decide if I'm keeping it.
