  • Very nice! I just wish it was longer.

  • its me oskars mama

  • I miss hearing you play so i'm watching your vids

  • Wow. I used to think no one else knew about Super Session except me.

  • it amazes me that no one has ever tabbed his work. I've tried to pay this for years, but it's just too insane- this is harder than eruption, joe pass, robert johnson, anything. His phrasing was perfect

  • @johngoo343 You can't learn Mike's licks from tab, they would probably come out sounding sterile, you just have to soak it up by playing along, and Mike playes a little bit in front of the beat.

  • @johngoo343 i know bro, but just to have a starting off point would be nice, I know hoe to read actual notation, and have trained my ear for playing, just would be nice to have the tabs

  • Great job!

  • Fantastic!!!

  • I can't tell if that's him playing it or is it the record...!?

  • @ThomasDeLello Me neither!

  • @Fladavenue You can't learn Mike's licks by tab, If you learn his licks from tab it would probably sound sterile, you have to just soak it up over and over, play along.

  • Where can I get that in tablature...?

  • Inspired...YES!

  • you need a better mic, your better than that

  • Sounds like you got Michael Bloomfield down... you must have strong fingers.

  • I don't know how I missed this one E ? Great job brother !

  • Excellent intuitive grasp of Mike's touch

    and tone production.

  • and i thought i was the only one out there trying to learn that song note for note lol 5 stars

  • AMAZING 5/5

  • Let's have the rest of that! Come on, don't be shy. I know you can do it!

  • Nice one Evan mate. Nice touch and feel.

  • good playin evan nice licks

  • Man that sounds great!! Personally I wished you had just the backing so I could just here you on this tune!!

  • i've gotten up to 3:08 (time)(albert's shuffle!!!)

but, i can only play one full song (public performance level), and that's dear mr. fantasy, and i'm only been playing for a year! take pity! but two months ago for my 13th bday i got a cherry burst epi les paul custom.

  • What brand strap do you use with your 335?

  • I don't know, James Peterson gave me the strap, he said it was Earl Hooker's

  • Thanks!

Anyway, you have a nice strap.

  • wheres the next 6 minutes of it lol

  • You are a kick-ass guitar player! I love Bloomfield even more than Clapton and I think this is the most amazing thing ever done on a guitar.

  • I love that tune and you play it very well. Great tone too, I can't believe your going thru a solid state amp, that's great! I used to have an Acoustic 150 with a 412 cab that weighed a ton especially loaded with 4 EV SRO's. I used a 50 watt Marshall head instead of the Acoustic amp.

  • Thanks, That Acoustic amp sounds like a tube amp,and a fine one at that! It is my buddys amp, I kidnapped it for 10 years!

  • yes i know that on a message board we're all experts, what ever was i thinking. long live the ability to stand tall behind text comments!!! Out the window with my guitar - on to the flute! . . .now to find that flutist forum. . .

  • very very nice, love bloomfield

  • Very nice Bloomfield licks. I'm equally impressed by the tone you're getting out of that 335. What amp are you using? Pedals, if any? Thanks.

  • Thanks, I am playing strait through an acoustic 150 head and fender twin 15" cab...I never play with pedals.

  • Please, I've spent hours trying to get down the lick of the first 4 seconds of the song, please clarify for me before I go crazy!!! You own this song!

  • use your ears dude.

  • use your face dick

  • give up guitar

  • if you can't pick it up by ear, maybe you should give up

  • That is fabulous. This piece ought to be required learning for all serious guitar students, regardless of their genre focus.

"Albert's Shuffle" is a gorgeous minuet...

I think Chopin would've loved it.

  • bingo!!

  • Thanks.

  • That is great. Its so hard to get Bloomfield stuff. Do you have the tab for the song

  • me too man! i've searched high & low for the tab to this song. it's THE great white blues moment.

  • excellent copy, you nailed that cut.now how about east west?

  • Thanks, I don,t know east west, I wish I did!

  • Good grief! Even Schroeder with his toy piano couldn't nail THAT one on request.

    Well...maybe HE could, but...

  • Man! I have ALWAYS wondered how he played that - your feel is FLAWLESS. Post more! Oh, and do me a favor - do search for the Spotted Dog Blues Band for my band - MORE POWER TO THE BLUES! Also, if you're anywhere near Sacramento, come sit in with us, I would LOVE to play with somebody like you!

  • Thanks for your kind comment, I will post more soon, I wore out my first camera, and about to get my second, If I am in Sacramento I will look you up, or if you get to New Orleans you can play with my band.

  • On the radio, I know Bloomfield's guitar from the first few notes. Very few guitarists are that unique. He had beautiful tone and energy on the stage too (saw him with the Electric Flag). Your copy is DARN good. The best copy I have seen live is Chris Cain of the SF Bay Area -- he brings Bloomfield back to life when he plays with the Robben Ford (and brothers) Band in their tribute album to Bloomfield

  • Thanks, I have not heard of Chris Cain but will look him up.

  • In person, Cain plays all different styles, but when he plays with the Ford Brothers, I swear, I can close my eyes and it Bloomfield. And he uses a gold top Les Paul when he "does" Bloomfield that also looks alot like Bloomfield's. I live in Sacramento, so I'll have to look up the Spotted Dog Blues Band too.

  • Hi, that was great, 5 stars for you. Any chance of a tab?!

  • dude ... more videos of this!

  • very very good 5 stars for sure

  • Far out Mate, I've been trying to copy Mike's breaks and style for years...you've got it sussed !

  • Thank you Mate.

  • Wow, few people can emulate Mike Bloomfield with it sounding halfway decent, and you do a great job. He's probably my favorite guitarist (at the moment, at least). Also, I saw another video that you recorded of Mike Bloomfield's "If You See My Baby", and I'm wondering, could I borrow all of your records indefinetly? :p

  • Thanks man, you have to play just a bit in front of the beat to cop Bloomfield licks, let me know if there is record that you want me to post, I have other Bloomfield records in storage too.

  • It isn't just that though, it's the phrasing and the notes that most people, when it comes to the blues, are completely ignorant of. Like the major 6ths he throws in flawlessly. Most guitarists stick to the pentatonic with the tritone in there, but Bloomfield seems to play what he feels, working outside of the pentatonic so much. And that isn't even beginning to mention his rhythm work. One thing about Bloomfield that you don't see much in blues soloists is his ability to know when to be quiet.

  • I just realized that response made no sense at all. Hrm.

  • Straight off the potato farm in Idaho at 18 (in 1969), hearing this solo for the first time was a life changing experoence for me and now in 2007 it is more poignant than ever. You've got it nailed, man. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks Buddy.

  • SWEEETTTTTT!!!!!!! nice job(from a FUCKING killer album)

  • Thanks man, that makes me feel good.

  • Very similar to Mike Bloomfield's guitar play.

I would like to listen to your solo part.

  • Thanks my man. solo part?

  • Yes!

When I was 15, I knew him as I bought Butterfield's East West here in Tokyo.(I am Japanese) Mike's solo part was more impressive than Elvin Bishop's!

  • Could you please keep your Dad outta this? Those of us who are lucky enough to remember the album first hand don't want to be reminded of WHEN...keep playin' tho.

  • My bad on the dad.

  • Hey!...You did a nice job of it. Sounds more like Bloomfield than anyone I've heard. Keep it up!

  • Thanks for the comment, that Bloomfield record was one of the first records that my dad turned me onto at about 10 or 11,
