  • Screw the middle classes! I will never accept them! My father's other family were middle class, and we were kept out of sight, hidden from view at his funeral.

  • i love "you must be so releived that no ones told the papers... SO FAR!"

  • they didn't digitally correct it. But, they did lower the key of her songs. If you compare with the Stage recordings they are much higher in key. Thats why she could sing it comfortably.

  • magaldi has such an innocent voice, without any vibrato, it's beautiful, and he has such a talent with high notes!

  • i love magaldi's parts in this!!!

  • okay this is probably a stupid question, but are those other people Eva's siblings?

  • @sidwellian2012 Yes, which is what makes her brother asking "Do all your one-night stands give you this much trouble?" so funny to me.

  • what a great actor Jimmy Nails is..

  • another good scene with jimmy nail

  • I believe Che existed just as a conscious and a mind. And also as narrator too.

  • thats right. screw the middle classes! i will never ecxept them! My fathers other family were middle class . And we were hidden from sight kept out of veiw at his funeral!

  • well i just noticed what was kinda weird was she pronounced Buenos AIres like an american would, not an argentinian. Other than that she's a great singer.

  • Who's Che? Is he real?

  • @Hekat123 Che is real, but not at the same time. Che is a physical being that represents the people of Argentina, he is almost the conscience of Argentina. The way that Eva and Che interact makes it realistic because she sings with him, without actually acknowledging his existance.

  • Like Lenin

  • I love the

    "I wanna be a part of B.A.

    Buenos Aires, Big Apple

    (Eva's family:)

She wants to be a part of B.A.

    Buenos Aires, Big Apple"

  • Bad actress, great singer!

  • If only Eva had stayed in Junin and been content with what life had given her...

  • @evaperonwasbad ... then the world would have missed out on a strong and amazing woman

  • @aarond53 a 'strong and amazing woman' who punished the rich for no reason, drove her country's economy into the ground, blindly followed her husband, helped Nazis enter Argentina, and insulted Argentine feminists who had fought for the vote long before she came onto the scene. I've studied Eva for a long time, and I'm sorry to say, the cons far outweigh the pros. The real Eva was not the angel the movie portrays her to be.

  • i also liked 1:53- he just goes into the last part so effortlessly

  • hey, anyone know where i can get the 3:40-3:54 part alone?

  • fantastic acting by JM at: 4:30..just by his look and gestures..

  • I've commented on this song before (most likely another video) but I just love Magaldi's face after she says "would I have done what I did"

    He's like... oooh, fuck it!

  • " Bad is good for me

I'm bored, so clean, and so ignored

    I've only been predictable, respectable

Birds fly out of here, so why oh why oh why the hell can't I? love this its great

  • 4:27 ! Brave girl ! That's my Eva. Love her :)

  • Comment removed

  • this song is epic

  • This is actually a really nice song

  • Julian Littman great voice. Her brother apparently. :)

  • I love evita x

  • MAGALDI HAS HUUUUUGE EARS!!!!

  • i luv this song its the best :)

  • the hotel guy is a better singer than the guy who plays Magaldi

  • this song is hot!!!!!!!!!

  • The hotel guy is her brother or something like that

  • @silvertonguer I completely agree. Her 'Brother'. Im trying to find the actor's name.

Seems to me there's no point in resisting

She's made up her mind, you've no choice

Why don't you be the man who discovered her

You'll never be remembered for your voice

  • How do you know it's her brother?

  • @silvertonguer It's in the lyrics, under info. The character is eva's bro. anyway, nice solo

  • Ahh okay.

  • i've always wondered how old she was at this point.

  • in real life, she was 15 when she went to Buenos Aires, married juan Peron at age 26, and died at age 33

  • i had a feeling she was 15 for some reason. Thank you. Wow 33? i thought she lived until like 40

  • "Big Apple" is not a mistake. It's Webber's theatrical device. This play was meant to be seen in West End and Broadway. Do you think the audience would be able to relate if Webber used some other obscure barrio terminology?

  • on this night of a thousand stars, let me take you to heavens door where the music loves guitars play for ever more classic

  • Magaldi will always be Oz from Auf Wiedersehen Pet lol. but Jimmy Nail does have a surprisingly good singing voice and this is my favourite 4 minutes of the movie.

  • Magaldi reminds me of a rat so much!

  • Big Apple it´s New York not Bs As! I´m from Bs As and nobody says that! And if you´re going to make a biographical movie it has to be historically accurate or at least the most similar to what really happened.

  • He didn't mean to have it historically correct, he made a musical. He didn't write a book about the story, it doesn't have to be 'correct'. And just because they say B.A. doesn't mean they really call Buenos Aires, B. A. they're just using it as certain lyrics for describing Buenos Aires, because this is a musical.

  • when writing a musical, the verses have to rhyme, or at least have a rythym. and while you are from Bs As, you aren't from a little village, or where ever she is supposed to be from. i'm probably completely wrong and don't want to offend you, but perhaps they refer to it in other small towns or villages in Argentina. Also, it could be making the point that Buenos Aires is comparable to New York.

  • I always thought about that, actually.

  • You know this is based on a musical by Andrew lloyd Webber, and real world has nothing to do with it.

  • what mistake about "big apple"?

  • What do you mean there's soo many mistakes then wha happened?

  • Just because it's not historically accurate doesn't mean it's not good. If it was very historically accurate it would be a documentry - this is mainly for entertainment.

  • LEARN TO SPEAK!!!!!

  • Such a great movie, great songs, great acting, great visuals. Just perfect.

  • Oh, yeah... ^_^

  • @jellyrcw11 Madonna has got nothing on Patti Lupone.

  • @Gikl27 then why are you watching Madonna

  • @incrediblejessen I was making a comparison between the two. Madonna doesnt have the chops to fully execute the vocal difficulty of the piece. Only God knows how much they digitally corrected her voice.

  • @Gikl27 She was perfect for the role and trust me they didnt digitally correct her

  • @PureAvengers Im sorry I just do not believe that.

  • screw the middle class! my father's other family was middle class!

  • Lol, I love that part too.

  • @JohnRiemannSoong and this explains why she convinced peron to make laws on restrictions of certain rights of the middle class! some great leader!

  • Hi.. I think his name is Jullian Litman..

He has appeared in many West End productions, most recently 'We Will Rock You' in London.

I think he may still be appearing.

  • the guy who plays Evita's brother at the hotel has a really nice voice. Has anyone seen him in anything else before or after? I'd like to listen to him some more
