Darkseid was originally a well written character by jack kirby but they turned him into another fist slugger in the cartoons. Seriously a character who can kill most people where ever they are accross time and space / the episode had a good ending with darkseid beating superman with advanced technology thats using your brain.

I have just recently finished watching a huge amount of cartoons here on youtube, i.e Superman TAS, The Batman, Justice League, Justice League unlimited etc and was wonderin if there are any other series/films out there from the same period that include any of the other justice league characters? Batman TAS, New Advetures of Batman and Robin, Batman Beyond (all fall under the same continuity as JLU) Static has a few decent episodes as long as you ignore anything that has a celebrity, it's also in the JLU continuity.

1. Dwarf Tom Welling in stature
2. Have all his powers from the comics

If Darkseid can find this Equation, that he believes is locked within the minds of earthlings, than our existence will be fearful indeed.

You seem very knowelegable about the comic, but realistically you have to consider the bugdets. The second movie is gonna have to do well if we are to see anymore of sups for while. You're right, 6 movies would be a hard sell right now. But one would be, and if you put Lex in the background, but manipulating Metalo, Parasite or even Brainiac (similar to they way they did it in the cartoon) and make Intergang a threat to Lex, once being supplied by him and now by Darkseaid's forces, you can get a good fight and story in there. I think it could grow the brand like the Avengers movies rather than hurt it like the Hulk franchize.

Lois & Clark TV show was the post-Crisis (John Byrne's Man of Steel style) business man. Smallville redefines that to include some of the Golden Age's Superboy Mythos ala Birthright.
I actually think Batman's villains are generally ok and not great, outside of the Joker and Raz. Guys like Riddler, two-face etc are overplays on the quirky and warped so much so that any resonance with Batman losses significance. They provide an intellectual challenge and that's it. Morally Batman never kills so..
Supes has enemies who resonate with his character in a different way. Lex (comics), Braniac, Mongul and Darkseid. They all touch at his deepest fears, concerns and desires.
I actually see some of what you are saying. Lex is humanity's potential being used in selfish and self-destructive ways.
Brainiac is an alien intelligence so removed from other living beings that the only enjoyment that he can get is by bottling them up and destroying them for the simple pleasure of it.
Mongul and Darkseid are threats that Superman realizes he may ultimately be unable to deal with without becoming like them; either a tyrant or a self-made god.

Batman is the use of darkness and fear to bring justice and order. Joker is laugher. Scarecrow is fear. Ventriloquist is the dual identity manifested. Freeze is the coldness of emotion. Two-Face is the duality in direct conflict. Penguin is a teisted bruce, rich and orphaned. Riddler is the intellect gone wrong.
Sumerman is the alien, the god turned man, and the battle of power vs morality. Lex is man's potential to be a god. Brainiac is the Alien with no morals or emotion. Doomsday (as with Darkseid or mongul) is alien power without limits. Myxy is the child with the power. Parasite is the equalizing of power. Maxima is alien power sans morals but all emotion(there is a theme here).
Even those you could consider pawns of Lex (or lesser villians) Toy Man, Metallo, Kryptoniteman. All reflections of SM

The choice of music was good, but as a tip for future vids, you should edit more. Try to synch it to the music better and scenes, where chars are talking and you cut away the voices are wasted. Just constructive criticism.^^

I have just recently finished watching a huge amount of cartoons here on youtube, i.e Superman TAS, The Batman, Justice League, Justice League unlimited etc and was wonderin if there are any other series/films out there from the same period that include any of the other justice league characters? Batman TAS, New Advetures of Batman and Robin, Batman Beyond (all fall under the same continuity as JLU) Static has a few decent episodes as long as you ignore anything that has a celebrity, it's also in the JLU continuity.

Have been doing some thinking. If Darkseid is on Smallville, who should play him and how should he be portrayed.
I think that he should
1. Dwarf Tom Welling in stature
2. Have all his powers from the comics
3. If he is to be portrayed as human(heaven forbid!) he should be (no offense to anyone just personal opinion on the character live action) portrayed as an African American(like the one who threw the detonator off the prison ferry in The Dark Knight, he reminds me of the character.

that has happend and darkseid is now gone for good because DC has stated that the new gods are going to be in reserve from now. Darkseid died three times in the comics:
1: Orion ripped his father's heart out destroying his physical body.
2: Batman(Bruce Wayne) shot Darkseid with the Radion bullet that killed Orion and the god of evil had his spirit claimed by the Black Racer.
3: Superman finished the job by singing a universal counter-note and shattered his existence forever.

DS is a trilogy ender, game changer. To make him the first would hurt the movies. What they need to do is put Intergang in as an anoyance, Lex as a background manipulator and bring out the ever increasing villian rouster. Then build up IG and LL until LL is the face off in #3 and IG is 4 & 5, leading to DS and a Sups team up with LL in 6

6 movies wont happen. I agree with u on he is a trilogy ender but they wont be able to get money for 6 movies. especially since returns did so poorly. You seem very knowelegable about the comic, but realistically you have to consider the bugdets. The second movie is gonna have to do well if we are to see anymore of sups for while. And DS rules and would put alot of butts in the seats.

You're right, 6 movies would be a hard sell right now. But one would be, and if you put Lex in the background, but manipulating Metalo, Parasite or even Brainiac (similar to they way they did it in the cartoon) and make Intergang a threat to Lex, once being supplied by him and now by Darkseaid's forces, you can get a good fight and story in there. I think it could grow the brand like the Avengers movies rather than hurt it like the Hulk franchize.

Superman, Wonder Woman, GL, Flash and the rest have very strong enemies; but if they ever posed a real threat to them , they get killed real quick (General Zod, Max Lord, Sinestro, and the original Zoom)

the biggest difference being the level of resonance that Batman's villians have with the character. the Joker is a warping of order into chaos inspired by the self destructiveness of normal people.
Two Face being a warping of justice into chance.
Scarecrow using terror from fear.
no one in DC has any villians that resonate.
Besides, when any of those villians get rambunctious, Superman calls on the Justice League to get his balls out of the fire.

"not really Lex, just some jack in the box goofy man" You have to remember that all Superman movies befor 1986 were pre-Crisis stories, thus Lex was a Mad Scientics Villian. Superman Returns was part 3 of the original trilogy, thus he had to keep the pre-Crisis style.
Lois & Clark TV show was the post-Crisis (John Byrne's Man of Steel style) business man. Smallville redefines that to include some of the Golden Age's Superboy Mythos ala Birthright.

I actually think Batman's villains are generally ok and not great, outside of the Joker and Raz. Guys like Riddler, two-face etc are overplays on the quirky and warped so much so that any resonance with Batman losses significance. They provide an intellectual challenge and that's it. Morally Batman never kills so..
Supes has enemies who resonate with his character in a different way. Lex (comics), Braniac, Mongul and Darkseid. They all touch at his deepest fears, concerns and desires.

I actually see some of what you are saying. Lex is humanity's potential being used in selfish and self-destructive ways.
Brainiac is an alien intelligence so removed from other living beings that the only enjoyment that he can get is by bottling them up and destroying them for the simple pleasure of it.
Mongul and Darkseid are threats that Superman realizes he may ultimately be unable to deal with without becoming like them; either a tyrant or a self-made god.

I like yours and the other well though out analysis. One thing I notices is that both heroes villian's are reflections of them.
Batman is the use of darkness and fear to bring justice and order. Joker is laugher. Scarecrow is fear. Ventriloquist is the dual identity manifested. Freeze is the coldness of emotion. Two-Face is the duality in direct conflict. Penguin is a teisted bruce, rich and orphaned. Riddler is the intellect gone wrong.

Sumerman is the alien, the god turned man, and the battle of power vs morality. Lex is man's potential to be a god. Brainiac is the Alien with no morals or emotion. Doomsday (as with Darkseid or mongul) is alien power without limits. Myxy is the child with the power. Parasite is the equalizing of power. Maxima is alien power sans morals but all emotion(there is a theme here).
Even those you could consider pawns of Lex (or lesser villians) Toy Man, Metallo, Kryptoniteman. All reflections of SM
