Hi,

Its a C shaoe but on the 5th fret rather than 3rd fret - i.e, bass note on 3rd - the capo has actually changed the C to a "D" chord - just think of the capo as the nut as he says - its easier to work out the chords.

Did ou try the chords? It sound slike a C to me (Guitar Teacher - 6 years). Playing 23 years.

No you're exactly right, the chord he plays is a "D" using C fingering on the 5th fret. This doesn't change the fact that it is a D chord.

I'm not sure what your argument is, but the starting chord is not a C, I can assure you of that.

And btw, if we're going to flaunt talent, i'm a cellist of 10 years and a teacher of 2 in the classical genre.
