With the way you are ascending for the alt picking lick, are you changing strings with an upstroke everytime?

@thecoldnovrain89 nah it alternates, hence ALTERNATE picking. when i do fusion phrasing or other stuff that isnt 3 note per string i use economy picking occasionally. but this is all alternate picking.

@metalhead326 I ment the first picking stroke on the next string, after you skip to the next string, is that an upstroke? This pattern looks good for practice because it emphasizes an upstroke on every string, which is the hardest part of alternate picking.

@thecoldnovrain89 actually now that i analyze it you are correct. since it is an even picking pattern with an odd number of nots per every other string it works out to bean upstroke everytime. didnt even realize that! thanks for pointing it out

i used a bogner alchemist pushed by a DOD JYM308 Pre-Amp Overdrive pedal...the mic was awful so it sounds like its under water...but the tone is sick from where i was.

Dude you have come leaps and bounds in your playing from some older vid's I have watched. YOur very fast shredder, just don't lose your feel and soul for playing music, use it sparingly or you will just sound like every other schredder out there.
