No , it uses component input (RCA cable). HDMI cannot be "copied" to computer, as it is encoded by ps3. This is also why standard DVD recorder will not work - dazzle via RCA cable does though.

How much can it record?

Can you look into the TV and not into a little screen?

Is it simple? Like can you just plug it in, turn it on, record, then later just upload it to the computer without hassle?

basically, it can record as much as your computer can hold...if you set it up properly then you can play it on your tv as usual but not in hd, look on othe vids on how to set it up...and you can use windows movie maker which is simple to use, but i dont tink that you can use it with the platinum one or on vista...from there you can make a video and upload it, simple

If you are using S-Video, can you also split and play on your tv as well. Like with the RCA I can split my image to tv and PC, I do this because I can't stand the lag on PC recording.

I'm interested in buying a dazzle but how's your setup using the S-Video connection? A lot of youtube videos have people buying lots of splitters, however you said you only bought the S-Video cable.

You kinda confused me in the description, You said S Video AV RCA, however, the RCA sin't needed if you're using a Dazzle, just stick the S Video straight into the Dazzle and plug it into your pc.

i'm having a terrible problem with lag. i hook up the playstation 3 a/v cable into a y adapter and the cord to the dazzle is in the other slot of the y-adapter and it plugs in the tv's av slot. i'm using the instant dvd recorder that comes with the dazzle. help!

i can tell u how right now. you need therese things called Y jacks or sumthing like that you need 3 for each output on your tv like RWY. plug the ps3 or xbox av jacks on the top and the dazzle av cables on the bottom. This works because the signal is still going into the tv so you can play. and also the signal is split so its going through the dazzle and on your PC.

The DVC 100 Dazzle is the read one. It is about 60 bucks.  The DVC 170 is the silver one which is about 90 bucks. Really the only difference is the silver one comes with better software. but I have A couple of questions before I do.

Did you have to use Y Adaptors (Spliters) or AV Cable to make it so it didn't lag?

Also, Why won't the AV cable that came with the PS3 Work?

What you do Is hook up the (Yellow-Red) cables to your TV and then you hook up the (Black-White) cables to your Dazzle which hooks up into your PC.

The cable that you get with your PS3 won't work because the prongs on the cables aren't long so they won't fit In the Dazzle
