  • im a guy , can i still take this? i have a gelatin dietary supplement , it says it support for the maxtrix of hair , skin and nails. no side affects?

  • great lakes procine or beef?

  • @Benutzer79 Slow metabolism is Not Good my darling!! u want to have a high metabolism and keep your body warm!! heart disease is caused by inflammation, too much small ldl, high ammount of c reactive protein, high cortisol levels, slow metabolism, and much more!!! Inform yourself better!! read science by Dr.Peat and Broda Barnes!! All the best to u!!

  • @mokugin81

I ran out of place in my comment so I could not elaborate on what I meant, obviously a slow metabolism in most cases is a sign of illness or bodily malfunction and therefore not good.

However, a slow metabolic rate is directly linked with a longer life (there are already studies on mice proving this). A very low-calorie,nutritionally balanced diet means your body is working more efficiently, not waring down its cells quite as quickly. Thats why being vegan is so healthy for you.

  • Nice try but Gelatine is not really good for you.

It is a waste product. There is pretty much no valuable protein in gelatin, almost all the amino acids found in it are the ones the human body can produce itself.

And by the way, vegetarians usually stay away from gelatine since it is just another slaughter byproduct.

There is literally no downside to getting all the proteins you need from vegetable sources.

If you want anti inflammatory - just drink a cup of green tea or munch some broccoli.

  • that vegan person that commented down here has the typical vegan attitude.. u might be ok for a while on vegan diet but in 10years the metabolism will be not good anymore with all those grains, bean, nuts, seeds, vegetables,etc..

  • @mokugin81

good morning, it is the year 2011. It has been scientifically proven the most healthy diet for humans is a vegan one. Consumption of animal protein is directly linked with most forms of cancer.

In fact the opposite of what you have written is true - if you are an adult, after another 10 years of meat consumption it is about time to get ready for annual checkups because your heart disease and (intestinal) cancer risk will be through the fucking roof.

    Slow metabolism=longer life

  • i just bought a tub of gelatin off amazon

  • Yuck!!!!!!!!! Gelatin D:

  • Could you use beef gelatin to clear home made cider I have been searching the Webb and nit found any answers so I thought I should ask someone who knows about the stuff

  • I'm a vegan. And you sir are a fucking idiot. I've been bodybuilding for a while now. Beans, grains, nuts, seeds, and ignorant chumps like you are all the protein I need.

  • @grippipo This is sad. Legumes and Grains contain harmful lectins, anti nutrients, gluten, etc. These sources of protein have poor quality amino acid composition. Nuts are filled with harmful polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vegans never maintain good health for long. It is impossible to obtain all nutrients in sufficient quantities over a long period of time without supplementation. You might be doing alright now, but i feel confident saying good luck withering away slowly =/

  • @grippipo grains ohhhhhh nooooo im sorry

  • dude that was awesome straight to the point, all the facts, no bullshit & entertaining THX man appreciate it!

  • vegans are hopeless....hahaaaaaaa!

  • Can You Help me with a Good Pregancey Diet? So far I hear Raw Milk But Not yogurt . Bone Broth Bur not much meat. Pure Sugar, Pure salt, coconut oil, butter,Bone broth.

  • This was really informative but I still have one question: where can I get gelatin? I know you mentioned a website but I'd prefer to get it from a grocery store. I have no idea where to look. The only gelatin I've seen in passing is jello which I recall from childhood being mostly sugar. Thanks!

  • Is the highest priced gelatin worth the difference in price or am I better of getting the beef or lower grade kind on Greatlakes gelatin?

  • your videos are sooo awesome!!

  • I was introduced to the Great Lakes Gelatin by my Bootcamp trainer, I gotta say it's awesome! :D You can add it to your milk shakes, orange juice, to your coffee, to your apple sauce, it's awesome.

  • learn how to make a traditional stock using bones. Adds flavor to your food and Gelatin to your diet.

  • So is eating the cartilage off the end of chicken bones and the soft part of the bone of beef or pork the same idea?? (free range, hormone free, grass fed of course!!!) My mom used to advocate this growing up.... I still do it now-- though it usually grosses people out.... I love it ---they don't know what they're missing

  • Awesome information. Which gelatin would be best for someone who is intolerant to about everything including Beef. I would really like to purchase some but not sure which of the 3 options would be best.

  • @gmcarey5

You can get either. If you start using it in small amounts, it will not affect you. An intolerance is something we create, so if you heal your gut, etc you will not be intolerant to it anymore. A sensitivity is something we cannot eat and will never grow out of.

  • @joshrubineastwest

Thank you. I have learned so much from you.

  • Thank you for this!!!

  • so we should eat jello? lol

  • Happy Birthday big man!!

  • Another great video Josh. I too would like to know what you think about Protandim. Untill then do I have to worry about getting fat from taking gelatin?

  • @tazzpower

I am sure someone will take this the wrong way. But if someone wants to sell something so be it. We all run our business, life, etc differently. Our immune system actually makes free radicals to neutralize bacteria, viruses, help with damaged tissue, etc. Can taking anti-oxidants help us or actually decrease the effectiveness of our immune system? The body is a functional system of auto-regulation! What we think we typically need, we already have!

  • Heck yeah, awesome video, Josh. I have been taking gelatin for a month and it's pretty good stuff.

  • I remember in 7th grade science class talking about how gelatin was made of cow bones and thought: EEWWW. I am surprised they havent processed the benefits out of it by now or come up with a chemical substitute.

  • is it ok to use straight up gelatin from the bulk section of say, a grocery market?

does gluten and stuff from grain end up in the gelatin of the animal if it's fed that?

are there any less expensive ways of obtaining gelatin is essentially what i'm asking..

    and! for someone in canada?

  • There's some interesting stuff by user yourreturn who promotes organ meats, bone broth, gelatin - says it all cures decay.

  • great video, i want to buy gelatin right now!!!

  • Awesome video! I had no idea gelatin was so good for you, I always assumed it was just garbage. I'll have to look into this more and try some out. Thanks for the information.
