fantastic netbook, i own the hp mini 110 though. it's pretty fast with stock 1gb ram, if you know how to use laptops. gaming wise, Starcraft works, CS1.6 works but runs at like 20fps, and this is without tweaks.

the only thing about netbooks is that they tend to be real slow so if you get one turn off the antivirus or turn off stuff that you don't use.

here are my cons about this netbooks: Lacks a regular VGA out connector. You have to buy a adapter which is hard to find. 6 cell is lumpy. Looks like a tumor growing out of the netbook. Lacks a 3rd usb. Other than that, it has a nice big keyboard.

netbooks are small (10-inch screen usually) and cheaper (generally under $500). they run less expensive processors compared to notebooks. if you don't deal with these products all the time, it can be a fine distinction to make.

It's awesome!! i definately think it's the best netbook! I was going to get the dell mini 9, but the store i went to didn't end up having it so i got the hp mini instead, and it is soooo much better! the keyboard's definitely a LOT better than the dell mini 9 one, even if that one is pretty good. i'm on my hp mini right now!! :D

It's great for email! i havent used it for aim yet but it has it preinstalled in it and im guessing it works pretty well since if u r in a good wireless place the internet works fast- it sometimes works even faster than my big mac!

no prob! u probly wanna decide on ur own, but i think the hp mini is definitely worth the price! i was gonna get the dell mini but they didnt have it at the store i was at and i was in a huge hurry so i got the hp mini instead and its so much better!! u also dont have to pay extra for the camera well at least i didnt have to. :)

ya and im not sure about yours, but mine came with bluetooth for no extra charge. i got it at best buy for $300, but it was on sale from $500. talk about a big sale!

that's a pretty good deal! if i were you i would go for it, but it depends on what you want to use it for-

if you just want it for email and internet, you're golden

if you want it to store files and a lot of documents, a regular sized laptop would be a lot better.

yeah. i have a USB flash drive, and i store all my documents on there for school. so im really only gonna be useing to for email, aim, myspace, and internet searching

i do it for the exact same thing! i store all of my documents from school on it, though, so it runs a little slower and freezes up a lot, but if you store it on a flash drive, you'll be fine

Hp mini note 2133 is now 150 to 160GBP with Linux SUSE (open office as standard) on it....

That rapes all the notebooks in the market for price in relation to features and build quality.... if your looking to spend 300-400GBP on a portable PC with lots of features - why the hell would you buy an EEPC/NC10/mini 1000 for a slightly better processor, when you can get a laptop with 1-2gb ram 160gb HD, DVD RW, 15" wide screen, full size keyboard, core 2duo processor + on board or dedicated GPU.

sold it already, because i found out there's a new line coming out this year with Nvidia ION GPU's, tags 50USD onto the price of any netbook - are able to run COD4 on respectable settings at 30FPS :D GAME ON! lol

They already released SBC's (single board computer) - with them in :) check them out there's atleast one review ive seen on youtube but plenty of sites that have reviewed it.

Nvidia announced it awhile ago; most reviews mention netbooks shipping with them in the first half of 2009 :)

Hp screwed themselves with the 2133 and now they did it again with this one that's under power with specs and overly priced if you compared it to Acer Aspire One or Samsung NC10....do your home work HP....you guys needs to catch up.

For the record, HP says the 2133 was for their education program so comparing it against a standard netbook might not be fair. That said, the C7 runs too hot and it isn't powerful enough to compete. I think the Mini 1000 will be better, but I would have liked to have seen in released a few months ago.

why would anyone need one of these? they don't run fast at all. the screen is too small to do any multi window working. the keyboard is cramped. and there's not enough harddrive space to hold enough stuff. and its an odd size too. not a full-sized laptop, but can't fit in your pocket either. i think an iphone, or a blackberry, or even an ipod touch are all viable replacements for a "netbook" and it fits in your pocket too.

It runs fast enough for what I want to do with it, take it to school and take notes in lecture classes, type papers on campus, surf the web in between classes. The size is great because I don't need a special laptop backpack and its not heavy enough to rip my current bag (I already have textbooks and binders) This is a great laptop for college students on the go, not just college students but anyone on the go.

i disaree, i have a 17" sony vaio which is a massive laptop but does everything i want it too, then i also have a nokie E71.. the new "black berry style" nokie phone which is also brilliant but lacks some things i would need, now i go to uni so i dont want to lug around my massive laptop just to take notes, but now i dont have to since i have a netbook. not by hp though because i like the pricing of the acer netbook and it comes in great colours. no cramped keyboard either

You're missing the purpose of a 'netbook'. It's basically for networking/wi-fi and portability without the need for a cd/dvd drive. You can transfer ripped movies and music to it and play it from the HDD. It's light and portable and some people are able to play video games on it too.
