  • thats unusual but Very cool! ive never even heard of anyone goin with a carb on the LS1,,, Just curious how do you like it, and also,, Why not use the FI that comes on it??.. great car

  • Whats all needed for a FI to carb set-up?

  • IMO a 750 mighty demon carb is the best, because all it is, is just a tuned up version of a holley 750 double pumper

  • What size are those wheels & tires? And how is the car running, I have a 69 firebird about to put a 5.3 out of an 03 gmc yukon.. Any pointers? Mike

  • nicely done.

  • my mighty demon was a bitch to get tuned at first too! too me months of messin with it, but once i did.... the BEST carb I have ever experienced! I love the thing!

  • this is the most fucking pixelated video I have ever seen

  • sounds good! any more videos of the car??

  • sweet

  • Niiice! I'm doing a L92 headed LS1 (408 CID) with a 4-bbl carb and a TSP Giant cam...that MS3 cam sounds pretty naaaasty! I luv it...lol

  • sounds BAD ASS!!! How street able is this car? Can you sit in traffic or just fire it up it and a drive to the store and back

  • What are the specs on the Cam?

  • i don't get what you're tuning

  • me neither, no injectors no sensors??

maybe hes doing coil pack tuning cause i see those...

  • Spark curve with the MSD, fuel with the carb settings.

    Whats confusing about thyat?

  • nothing confusing, I just didn't know.

  • how do you tune a carburetor with a laptop if it's not computer controlled?

  • You tune the MSD with the laptop, and the carb with screws and jets and physically swapping parts.

  • oh I knew that. he wasn't doing that though, which is why I asked.

  • as I understood it, he was using a wideband sensor to look at the fuelling, logging it on the laptop.

Then make some tweeks, and take some more readings. Thats usually how you tune at least .....

  • that's pretty cool then

  • i was running a 750 mighty demon. its crap. im throwing a holley hp street 750 on there in a few days. I am also going to tune it with FAST dual sensor wideband. timing is set using my laptop and the carb is tuned as uasal. not hard at all.

I work at an indian casino.

  • whats your job role? dealer?

  • try a 1050 dominator! way better flow! try something more than 750, that's not letting it breath as good as it can.

  • @JustinGiese Hey Justin, I'm building a 69 Camaro, and was wondering what size tires you have on the Coys in the Lunati Voodoo cam video?

  • how do u afford all this=/

  • what carb are you using and was it hard to tune?

  • Get some more up to date vids, man! sounds great!

  • lots of engine parts are made by small companies that specialize in ls engines such as MTI and texas speed

  • Where do you get ms3 cams from and who makes them> I looked on summit and jegs and even google but cant find suppler. THanks

  • Yeah but they all suck, the best results come from doing the tuning yourself on the laptop.

  • sweet!

  • whay use a carb??? what makes it better than it was?? not much i belive, ok its a 69 and never had a injected engine but whay not use the LS1 intake/ecm oe ls6? better milage responsivness, always starts right up (without pumping the pedal) but its sounds sweet dough

  • every camaro should come stock with A CARBED LS1.

  • If you've ever built a motor (doubt you have) and used a priming tool you'd know that it really doesn't take all that long for oil to be spread throughout the motor. I'm sure that wasn't the first time he'd started it so that means that it took even less time for oil to get up to the upper end of the motor. If you use your logic you should sit and let your car warm up for 5 minutes before even putting it in gear. Worst thing he could do would be to start it with no headers and no coolant.

  • you shouldn't really run in a motor with coolant at first to give the head gaskets a chance to bite in.

  • well how do you break in the cam if it's not a roller cam? run the thing at 2300rpms for 30mins with no coolant, i don't think so, you would have a pile of melted metal when you finished. hell motors get hot as hell breaking in the cam with coolant in them we usually have to spray down the radiator with a hose to keep them cool

  • havent you ever heard of water? Running the motor in with no water isnt a good idea i think you may have misunderstood me.

  • yeah i did nevermind lol

  • yooooo i need help for this,do u still have the computer for the to run with the carb or is it like my carb 350 i need to kno fast befor i buy something plz reply fast

  • You have to get a standalone computer because you still have to run the coil packs.

  • thx man i had a freind sayiing it would run with out a standalong, thx couldnt remember the word so i might as well just run the f/i in it cause i dont have the comp im just gonna buy the painless, thx for the help saved me money

  • You can have these motors set up with a distributor. Competition products sells them, they are front mounted almost like a ford would be. weird but it works.

    I'd choose coil packs though...

  • just use the msd 6ls ignition box. its a simple install. once its running use a lap top and the msd software to change the timing then tune the carb as usual.

  • ok so i still need the computer to run the motor like if i used the tpi set up

  • No, you don't need the computer. You just buy the MSD box and it plugs into the motor and the coils. That's it. You won't need anything else.

  • ok thx so i do not need the computer to run the motor i can run it like my old carb v8

  • yes but you will need a laptop and software if you want to change the timing. no more moving the distributor around lol

  • yes i know i have the box and the motor now so it should be running next spring thx for the help

  • so is the carb ls1 still computer driven?? i dont really understand it all.

  • Awesome work and nice idle

  • awsome

  • Not sure why but some of my favorite sounding engines at idle are the LS series with a big cam. Pure Music for a gear heads ears
