  • i was in this stupid thing i was on the winning ship called something but at 6:11 im standing right by the edge in red waving at people . ugh i dress it made that day unbearable hot.

  • LOL! Cool! Yeah, costumes tend to be bad things on hot days!

I often wonder about sports mascots in southern states! I'm surprised many of them don't keel over dead from heat stroke!

  • so true but then again we dont really have a mascot here.

  • LOL! That is good, because we may not have so much heat, but I imagine with all our rain, one of those mascot suits would soak up a few hundred pounds of water!

    :P

  • Thanks for sharing this. For some reason I always miss it.

  • LOL! Yeah, I'm really bad about wanting to go to stuff like this but usually something comes up or I just don't feel like going, but then I regret it, because it is always fun.

  • its usually around 5/15 or 5/16

  • Thanks for sharing this nice video!

  • Thank you!

    :D

  • random they r soooo out there sumwere lol

  • LOL! Yeah! I've seen video of the stuff around Roswell, and they get even crazier!

    :P

  • but all in all, great video

  • Thanks Brandon!

    : )

  • it definitely puts the topic up in the air

  • LOL! Yeah! Kind of like those guys in Georgia that claim to have found a dead Bigfoot- and showed a huge cooler with a big, furry body stuffed in it!

    :P

Still, it would be cool if outside of all the nut cases, there were actually a few who were actually seeing something real, whether UFO's Bigfoot or any other mysterious stuff!

    :P

  • Great video Roger! :D There's something about that picture that makes it different than all the other UFO pictures! Something about it makes it look like it could be real! :D

  • Thanks guys! Exactly! It's like that film of Bigfoot taken by the guys on horseback. I'm a skeptic who grew up loving science but I still try to keep an open mind & there are a few film/photo examples that even with modern abilities still can't be proven as fakes.

This one was taken by a simple farmer-very quiet people & this was the only thing memorable about them. It's still possible he wanted to play a joke but something about it all makes me wonder! Life is good with some mystery!

    :D

  • now that is cool! i recently traveld to roswell with my family about 2 months ago, well not just roswell, we took a roadtrip to the grandcanyon, and on the drive back i made sure we stopped at roswell, and it was crazy! we also stopped at monument valley, where they filmed back to the future 3, (im sure that monument valley has more cultuary history, but thats all i care about) and that giant meteor crater. which was cleverly titled, meteor crater

ill have the video of our travels posted soon!

  • Whoa! That's really neat! I've been to the Grand Canyon long ago when we drove to Phoenix to see my aunt, but I've never seen Meteor Crater, which I've always wanted to see! Plus Monument Valley, which is also famous for being the setting of many great Westerns, like some of John Wayne's movies. And Roswell would definitely be fun to visit!

    :D

I can't wait to see your stuff! Wouldn't it be fun to have the time & money to just travel everywhere?

  • What a great looking littl city. I'd love to visit it one day. I'm in Los Angeles bt just curious. Is there a daily busline from Salem to McMinnville OR???

  • Naw, no busline. Because lots of people head to the Newberg/McMinnville area to visit the wineries & vineyards, as well as passing through to go to the Casino and the coast, there's been talk of getting a train from Portland through the area, but it's been only talk for many years now, which is a shame. I wish our whole country would get back to having more train service everywhere!

  • Awesome, what a great idea for a festival! And that photo is one of the few which is plausible to me as something that is genuinely weird. Awesome old fashioned cars too!

  • Thanks! Yeah, it was taken by a farmer in the 1950's and even now they can't say that it's a fake, so who knows what it might be!

It is cool to sse old cars! The people that have them put a lot of love into restoring and keeping them up!

  • Wow, that's quite a parade.

Just curious: Do you believe in extraterrestrial visitors?

  • You know, I do believe, in this vast universe, there has to be lots of life, some of it sentient & a portion of that far more advanced than us.

But there could be thousands or even millions of light years between any able to go into space & there may be no posibility of developing a way to travel those distances-like the "warp dive" of Star Trek or "hyperspace drives" of Star Wars.

I don't like the word impossible but I highly doubt alien controlled UFOs-though it's a fun mythology!

  • Oh! My favorite theory though, if UFO's were intelligently controlled craft not from here is that they are time travel vehicles for distant future historians, or such, coming to "observe" us. Maybe "abducting and probing" people to get genetic material for dealing with future problems in the gene pool?

    LOL!

  • I'd love to go to that =D

  • It would be fun to go with a group and all dress up!

    :P

The parade is fun, but my favorite part is they always have this radio theater group from Salem that performs just like the old style radio people-when they did War of the Worlds it was incredible!

  • well never heard of the mcminnville case but whatever brings a community together for celebration and fun is a good thing

I know whatever it was in Roswell in 1947 , Roswell has to love it for all the tourists it now brings in it would of never done if the infamous incident did not take place

Saw thing on TV where they have an alien restaurant which was rather unique lol

  • Yeah. The McMinnville area used to be a major producer of turkeys, so their usual town celebration is Turkey Rama, but this is more fun!

    :P

And yeah! Roswell wouldn't really be much without the UFO stuff! I'm sure the tourism sruff from that is most of the town's income! It would be neat to visit just to see all the touristy stuff- and maybe do some people watching to see some of the "odd" people who come there on pilgrimage!

    :P

  • roswell is great, there really isnt much to do though except shop at the weird stores, and go to the "international extraterrestial museum and reasearch center"

the best part about that place is whenever they answer the phone they have to say "international extraterrestial museum and reasearch center, how may i help you?"

  • LOL! I love it! I'd get tongue tied!

    :P

  • haha that was cool how u sped it up!

  • LOL! Thanks Curtis! Yeah, I was going to just edit it down to bits and pieces, but I hated the results so I started over and chose to keep it all and just flash through some parts. It was still hard though! I still worried that it's too long! I guess parades are one of those things that can't really be duplicated on film!
