  • i Am the verse Guy. A tech. the reason you have lag is due to Low upstream rates. This can be caused by issues outside, so you need to have them come out and tell them you need an I&R ticket made for that. Click my name for other repair tips.

  • wow fool you are an idiot. im a uverse guy too. but im not contracted out. if that was the problem then this person would prolly be complaining about there internet being slow and not the stupid PEG channels.... WHO WATCHES THOSE?

  • excellent work

  • I have U-Verse and it works great. I don't notice any significant lag between changing channels, and my picture sure isn't all blue.

It's more expensive than DISH, but compared to Cable, it does a pretty good job.

  • Its crap in my area. I'm back on cable now and all works great they had to run all brand new lines cause the U-verse techs had it all fubbed up. No cliching and channels change just fine. Plus my internet finally works.

  • until school's back in and kids start downloading because youre on a shared network

  • uh you think you know how the cable co. shit works but you don't. I live in a collage town and comcast has added alot ore fiber nodes and I havent seen any slower internet speed actually i'm down loading at 26Mbps and 3Mbps up

  • diane1261. thats not a black and white tv it dosn't matter what kinda tv it is as long as it can get channel 3 this is showing how crappyu-verse is I have iton abrand new hd 73inchmitsu. and get the same damthing, its slow as shit when itworks halfthe time its soglichy u cann't watch it,the cablecompany is coming backout to reconnect me with there service and I am droppingatt after just one month. I've had these so called techs outtomy house 6times in one month, good thing my wife wrks from home.

  • For real,Get a new TV you NIT WIT! and judgeing by the Black and white TV you own,(LOL) tells me your living in a Trailor and your underground copper cable needs to be replaced. What a SPAZ! LOL.

  • Uverse sucks. We've had countless techs here trying to fix it. It's just not ready. My wireless is currently going off, on, off, on, off, on....

I do SAP and Oracle implementations for a living, so I'm not retarded either. It just sucks. Period.

  • Just want to point out for those considering getting U-verse, manually entering a channel on U-verse is instantaneous, provided you press the Enter button (to the right of Zero on the numeric keypad). This person clearly did not do that.

  • bmavpa,

This video is a demo of the PEG (Public Educational and Government) channels. Channel 99 WAS entered as you suggest. AT&T aggregates them under this channel, and forces you to use a drop-down menu system to select the channel for your community. For what you suggest to work, each city would need channel #'s assigned for its unique channels--and that doesn't happen. PEG is treated differently from commercial channels, which puts it in violation of CA, IL and a few other states' laws.

  • Yeah there is something wrong with that because on mine it only take 5 to 10 seconds to load the public access on channel 99.

  • looks like you need a tech out there to fix that, make sure they change all fittings and wall plates

  • If only it were that easy.

No, this is how U-Verse delivers local public, education, and government access channels, in ALL installations.

This problem, and a raft of others, is due to AT&T's short-shrift implementation of IPTV for ONLY THESE CHANNELS.

If it were just shoddy installs, the City of Palo Alto and DeAnza College wouldn't have these concerns:

"Changes to public channels worry Media Center, city"

by Becky Trout; Palo Alto Online, 2/13/08

Even AT&T doesn't deny the delay.

  • More of the same of how AT&T has been screwing over customers here in the South Bay; you'd think with all the tech in the heart of Silcone Valley they'd come with something more... "broadband-ish"-? Hell if we got YouToob, why bother with U-Verse?

    (can you spell "Net Neutrality"-?)

  • first off get a new tv you moron, second the installer probably installed your service like shit cause your a moron hahahaha
