Your video gave me the idea for gathering up my husband's Popular Mechanics. I made him a binder out of thin diamond plate, duct tape, and wire. He loved it!
A great idea. I actually like the way it looks handcrafted, not all plasticy and corporate. Read all those knitting mags and then you'll have the skilz to make a knitted cover to go over the cardboard!!!
Thank God you changed the music! Watched it somewhere else, and the bag pipe music drove me nuts... Nice idea, although I would use some time on making it prettier, I think... Could use a nice commercial binder too, only make an insert with the string on, and glue that into the binder (after removing the rings, of course)... Those frosty plastic ones look real nice on the book shelf, I think. A real thick card board could also easily be varnished or painted (with decor, if you like) too... :)
