Herman Cain couldn't support Perry as nominee today

It is not any states responsibility to secure the border. It is a federal responsibility and the federal gov't has sued states that attempt to act even within the federal immigration laws. I don't particularly like in-state tuition for illegals but it is a small issue. Cain does not seem to have a problem with supporting Romney even thought Romney brought socialized medicine to MA.

@PsychoBurgundy3 HC said his favorite Fed Chairman was Alan Greenspan. Ron Paul rightly told him Greenspan was a disaster. That comment shows that Cain doesn't understand the damage the Fed has done to the economy and I think that disqualifies him for office. IMHO.

I am not sure what you are driving at, if the two are running against each other, of course they will get all the votes, unless some vote 3rd party or write in (unlikely). I pointed out that those two vs each other, Blacks will still vote for Obama 90% vs 10% Cain, because blacks have been trained to vote for whoever screams "racist" the loudest.

herman cain's campaign isn't organized enough to win the nomination, even though on paper he reflects the tea party's values better than anyone else. on top of that, herman cain would not win the general election because obama's camp would run a smear campaign accusing cain of wanting to privatize social security, which is more or less the case, and would deter senior citizens form voting for cain. in all likelihood, herman cain will be offered the job of secretary of the treasury after november

If Perry or Romney are the nomination Obama has a chance. If Cain wins he takes the race card off the table. If Cain wins too many of Obama's voters have no reason to support him. If Cain is the nominee in 2012 he is the next president.

As far as Rubio, it is his culture and ethnicity that will connect him with the Latin community. 72% of Hispanics feel the GOP is hostile towards them and with the on going rhetoric, they are not likely to gain more support for the fasting voting block. Which is a shame considering that the culture alone is conservative in nature.

If I had to vote TODAY, it would be most definately be Herman Cain. I'm waiting to see if Christi gets into the mix. If that were to be the case, I would most definately vote for him. He, to me, is the most no-nonsense, get the job done, I don't care what you think of me, candidate to date. I love the way he gets into the faces of people....take no prisoners!!!

He said he couldn't support him today, that doesn't mean he wouldn't vote for Perry if he was the nominee. I won't support Perry either, but if it came down to Perry vs. Obama you can bet your ass I'd vote for Perry. Cain is what we need for our country right now. The election isn't today so I don't see why so many are getting in a uproar unless they're looking for an excuse not to support Cain.

@ResistIslamToday hmm no not really. They go to k-12 by mandate under Janet Reno. The instate tuition issue requires they be on the path to citizenship so they end up contributing to the Fed tax. It dose not cost anyone in Tx a red cent.

You are missing the point. The questions was IF Perry was the nominee would you support him? The answer was NO. Which means if he is not for the GOP the only alternative is Obama. BAD answer, really bad answer!

@DemKR Please think about what you just said. If the GOP nominee supported genocide, I hope to god the other candidates would have the balls to say "not on my watch". Sounds to me like HC is saying if Perry adjusts his position on the border and immigration to a position that is more in line with what the American people want, HC might be able to support him...but not now, not while RP is telling us all how "heartless" we are.
