Clay Jr. at the time). Mr. Ali faught and beat the "Mike Tyson" of the 1960s Mr. Sonny Liston(2X). I don't know who would have won if both were in their prime but it would have been great.

Top notch boxers that Tyson went up against beat him. ie: Lenox and Holyfield which both had reach adv. , good defense, and endurance. Ali use to fight until the 15th round and had a great chin. Never knocked out. I would give it to Ali in the later rounds.

Tyson fought some very good fighters, many of whom boasted unbeaten records themselves. As a teenager he was beating grown men. Some of these fighters had promising futures were never the same after fighting Tyson. Many of these guys if they were around today would be champions. I can name a half a dozen of those guys who would beat the klitskos handily

I disagree. Tyson was one of the most mentally fragile fighters of all time (along with Patterson, who was interestingly enough, another Cus D'Amato fighter). Ali was a master of the mental game. Anyone who has boxed before can tell you that boxing is 75% mental. Ali would have broken him down as he did with all of his other opponents. Ali also fought and beat fighters who were much harder punchers than Tyson (Shavers, Foreman). It would be a great fight but Ali would win 2 out of 3 times.

@Liquid3103 I agree with most of what you say here, but I would say that the young George Foreman hit harder than Tyson but not "much" harder, and Shavers not harder at all. The '85-'88 Tyson hit like a battering ram. But yeah, Ali would have beaten him if they had both fought in their primes, for some of the reasons you mention here, and also because Tyson's punching power could not have overcome Ali's mastery of jabbing, sticking and moving, frustrating your opponent, etc.
