lol bad driving+shifting, he didnt realise or feel he had wheelspin when he hit the 7k rpm mark, so he shifted without waiting for proper traction gain, lost ~10kmh, and 2nd gear had to pull from 4k rpm lol.
It was fiddly, I found that I didnt need to remove the steering wheel - it *just* fitted in without scraping on anything from a certain angle. It connected to the harness just fine and worked perfectly.
No problems at all, just as long as you take it slow and take care.
hey man i just bought the same car, i got power fc too, i get that flashing "engine" light as well.. is that bad or what? i'll probly end up getting it dyno tuned but kind of concerned bout that flashing light eh?
Yeah just don't drive it too hard before the tune gets done, would be a shame to blow a ring land if it's knocking too much. They should be able to tune it and have no flashes. With the hand controller they will be able to keep knock levels at least under 50 under full load.
That's the one above the speedo, right? If you look over next to the rev counter at around 5-6k rpm in second gear, something that looks like a check engine light blinks a few times then goes away.
That car has an Apexi Power FC computer, the flashing check engine light is a knock warning, under load the car is pinging.....the tune needs attention
I just realised some people are assuming I'm taking it up to only 100KM/H - the max speed in this video is actually 170KM/H. A bit hard to see in the low quality compressed video. Cheers
fortunatly i dont have any problems with my penis, im sure my first message was a reply to some saying 6.5 seconds is good, well in my opinion its not good its dam poor.

I actually though that if there was no such thing as an XR6 Turbo, I would have bought one of these things...After seeing this...nah...my old EF XR6 was quicker.
Mostly stock - at the time I made the video, mods were: front mount intercooler, splitfire coil pack, greddy elec boost controller (10/15psi), 3.5" xforce system.
nah i can tell you have alot more lower end torque than mine but it just doesnt seem to get to 100 much quicker. considering the mods youve got it should be quicker. however time flies alot faster when your actually in the car. sounds nice bro dont mind my comments
nice car btw lol

Nope, I bought it through an online forum.

not the tc light its the engine managment light

watch at 0:11. the engine is rumbling so much a warning light starts flickering
mystiqueman366 2 years ago 3
that would be the traction control light :)
curlyjimbo92 2 years ago
I'm guessing it has a power fc. The flickering engine light indicates the presence of knock
lukebaldan 2 years ago
My PFC went this way as well. Upgraded to a Link G4 Extreme. Best money I ever spent.

@lukebaldan Yup - Power FC installed.

wow.. are you joking?
double clutching will see the speedometer doesn't drop whilst changing gears zzzz
bokyboy123 2 years ago
double clutching is when you down shit dude, its not something to do when you are accelerating in a straight line
mikemizi 2 years ago
wrong..double clutching keeps boost built.

Yeh i see it, thats definetly the engine light.
16090763 3 years ago
Interesting. I'm considering buying an R34 GTS in the summer, wouldn't have thought Skylines had many reliability issues?
skaterkid901 3 years ago
They don't have reliability issues, provided two things:
1) You don't buy one because it's cheap, but get a well kept unit with records and bills for parts.
2) Once you buy said excellent condition Skyline, you do ALL the scheduled maintenance on it.
Modifications also can seriously compromise reliability, unless it's simple bolt-ons like Pod filter and a catback.
tuor1984 3 years ago
Thanks for your response. In reply:
1) I was toying with the idea of picking up a cheap R34 GT-R but for the same reasons you stated I decided to go for a better example of a GT-S.
2. I service my cars yearly regardless of mileage and don't hammer them unless the engine's properly warmed up.
In this day and age it's hard to find an unmodified Sky - I'll do my best though. Thanks again for the reply.

Engine itself is stock - just an increase in boost, improved intake/exhaust and front mounted intercooler. Cheers.
iiJeebz 3 years ago
Oh - and also an Apexi Power FC (replaces stock computer). I forgot about that.
iiJeebz 3 years ago
that wasnt 6.5 sec, it was 5.89 sec.

gepit 3 years ago
They come stock with Silver.

Mine came with stock silver dial,, they look good but they're not Nismo and only run to 180km
gepit 3 years ago
Not for the R34.

Nope - the large lettering on the gauge is in KM/H
