Mike Patton of Faith no More. A lot people remind me of him, including Maynard at points. He is sorta the grandfather of mixing vocal styles. Check out Mouth to Mouth by Faith no More. (such a fucked up vocal melody)

he does sound good, as usual. but range is not maynard's strength. that is kind of a slight on vocalists who do have a broad vocal style, unlike maynard, who while sounding good, just pretty much always stays in the same range.

Actually I think Trey Spruance from Patton's old band Mr. Bungle has left ol mikey in the dust.

Patton's shtick has gotten a bit tired. Fantomas is at best, novelty, and that Peeping tom shit has got to go. Tomahawk isn't bad though, although it kind of repeats Faith No More a bit. Mike Patton is a genius, but has gotten a bit pretentious in the past few years. Nothing beats Mr. Bungle though.

Melvins opened for Tool in 98.. but in the early 2000's Tool came out with an album ( the maggot) where they collaberated with many artists.. one being Tool. On that tour many of the guest artists joined for small stints.. great shows!
