  • @ ewormaharg: My E-type has all Series I features EXCEPT for the covered headlights.

  • Those were the days when cars had real style and excitement. Today's cars are BORING, they all look the same., even a BMW looks like a Mazda!!!! Bring back the old styles!!!!

  • @jewelcat11 I just wish cars would stop looking like eggs

  • My E-type was built in late October 1967. 1E14721 is considered a Series I & the open headlights are the only difference. My original owner's manual includes an insert stating that some American cars were imported with open headlights.

  • My late '67 is a Series I, but has open headlights. Same with another one located nearby.

  • You may have a Series 1½. Due to American pressure the new features were open headlights, different switches, and a downgrade of twin Zenith-Stromberg carbs from the original triple SU carbs for US models. Some Series 1½ cars also have twin cooling fans and adjustable seat backs. Series 2 features were gradually introduced into the Series 1, creating the unofficial Series 1½ cars, but always with the Series 1 body style. These are amongst the rarest production E Types according to Wikipedia.

  • Beautiful car! Thumbs up!

  • @artofwheels Real Beautiful. Cars today do not compare with the style of that car. The style was really unique., it looked like a rocket on wheels. I am looking into purchasing one. Too bad I have to search for an older classic model. I wish they would manufacture them again.

  • They are so fuken expensive. That breaks my heart!

  • LOL After reading this debate how to pronounce Jaguar, I realized how many Jaguars are not worth talking about versus other cars. I see many manufacturers trying to measure up to BMW and Mercedes standards but not one claiming "My car is as good as a Jaguar". ;)

  • I owned a 1969 convertable E-type in the seventies. Best car I ever owned. The most classiest and stylish sports car ever made, much classier than the corvette, I think. I wonder why they stopped making them?

  • Is the E Type good for driving around the city on errands? I'd like to become more familiar with this vehicle. .....Resources for BASIC considerations?

  • @evilbecauseyouwantme Check out Top Gear's assessment of the E-Type here on YouTube for an honest description of them and how they can be improved to make them more driver-friendly--they do have a number of problems, like the Series 1 overheating issue mentioned here.

  • @galoon just keep going 70mph and there is no over-heating

  • This video is about an iconic motor car. Language has nothing whatsoever to do with anything here. In addition, to bring the matter of a world war to the forum is quite ridiculous. Just enjoy these beautiful cars, and maybe relax a little.

  • I...Want...That...CAR

  • Is it me or does anyone else find it ironic that Laservader1 is complaining about Yanks ruining the English language when he is himself a borderline illiterate? It's "our" not "are" and "they're" not "there"

Learn how to write it or don't write it at all. Shakespeare and Chaucer are spinning in their graves. And in any event, you'd be speaking German but for us Yanks so cut us a bit of slack.

  • @aroc66us

80% of all German losses in WW2 were on the eastern front. Look it up in any book written about WW2.

Before you stepped into France by the summer of 1944, the German wehrmacht had already fought 3 long and bloody years on the Eastern Front, and they were already retreating.

On D-day there were some 60 odd German divisions in France, compared to over 240 German divisions stretched out on the huge Eastern Front.

Why don't you ask the Germans themselves where they lost the war??

  • dam yanks learn how to say Jaguar!

  • @laservader1 That's right--it should be pronounced "Jag-u-ar", not "Jagwar!" Of course we also have the bad habit of saying "Porsch" instead of "Porsch-e!"

  • @laservader1 LOL jag - yoo - ahr!

  • anyone knows how and where to buy e-type in asia?

  • aroc66us you are so right, it is the "New world Amazonian" (American) version of it and when you talk about guano (birds excrement) that is what you are talking. Americans adopted the language and then barstardised it and expect English speakers to adopt their version.

  • @ aroc66us there are car so they are called what we want to call them its like us "brits" invent the railways and you rename them railroads! learn how to speak english or dont speak it at all!!!!!

  • @viggoM35

horseshit, since 80 percent of all German losses in WW2 were on the eastern front.

Don't believe me? Then pick up a book written by some historian about WW2. That of course requires you to be able to read or even spend some time actually buying it. You seem to think that Germany was defeated in France in 1944. Ah, the education of Hollywood movies.

  • Not only do Yanks have a problem with vowels they have a problem with consanents also. I just met another one who says he has has a Toyoda . God help us from people who can not speak English. Tees are not Dees. He must be a real "Tick" with his "Pidjin English".

  • @viggoM35 What planet are you from. this is not about WW2 or if you fix your own cars. This is about Yanks that can not speak English. By all means call them a Jag but don't try to call them by there proper name which you can not pronounce. And for your information I have just removed my E types motor and given it a full crank grind, honed the bores, new rings, valve grind, overhauled carbs and distributor. So don't assume and make stupid comments and tell me to pick up tools you stupid twit,

  • @warpat1 I find it humorous that you claim that you are a car enthusiast and have done a rebuild, though you don't have one single video of your OWN relating to cars and anything else. If you didn't "get it" my comment was made in jest. Please send me your Paypal account so I can contribute to your "Buy a Sense if Humor" charity fund. You may want to work on your name calling. At least we "yanks" have enough common sense not to use a ridiculous word like "twit". LMAO

  • @viggoM35 For your information twit is not a ridiculous word it is used to describe a fool which is what you are. The discussion is about pronunciation and all you can talk about is WW2, spanners and heart transplants and who posts what on You Tube and ignore the subject completely. Goodbye TWIT and get an education.

  • @warpat1 Zzzzz blah. blah, blah... You're weak.

  • @viggoM35 Zzzzz Blah blah is that all you can say? You have a problem either booze or drugs, you have now deleted 5 of your comments so others won't realise what a retard you are, probably after sobering up or off the drugs and realised what a lot of crap you have posted. Those comments were absolutley crazy. Stick to the discussion and don't wander off on rediculous comments which have nothing to do with the subject. Get a life TWIT and stay off the drugs and booze.

  • @warpat1 ZZZZzzzzzz LMAO OMG I'm a TWIT..... Don't make me cry. LOL

  • swingAE86. Sure he has an accent but that is not his problem. He misses the U completely. Like a Yank I know who has a Mitsubishi who insists on calling it a Mitsoobooshi. They just seem to have a problem with vowels.

  • @warpat1 It's like the British saying Aluminum wrong...

  • @AOAWHATSUP no, most of the world says it same and that's right. Also note that most elements end on -ium and in fact it's the rule for all newly named elements.

  • @Vlakpage Haha I know I was just being a typical American

  • AAAAAHHHHH, americans annoy me so much, first off its not jagwars and its an e type, jaguar only named it the xke for americans because the thought the couldnt handle a fully new name on the maket and americans would explode over it!!!! AAAAAAHHHHH

  • accent man.

  • Great cars reported by stupid yanks who don't know how to pronounce, They are

    Jag-U-ars NOT Jagwarrs.

  • Yes the Series 1.5 had the first open headlights put he forgot they have S1 turn/running lights above the bumpers also;-) Jay
