  • i like the part where they beat up bad guys

  • ive wanted to do this with you for like 3 years haha

  • "salt power"? wat :D

  • Watching this made me wanna watch TMNT :) Oh the childhood nostalgia..

  • haven't watched this yet, but just had to say. great thumbnail :D

  • @Apemopo Lol oh I know its the best. I got a little case of the giggles inside when I saw it xD

  • Mike Mike Mike is the best for defense... no surprise there.

  • @TheMaykarLocomotive You two were like Gimli and Legolas out there!

    a) Gimli is a natural born sprinter, Raph is the fastest

    b) Donatello has the most range (obvious)

    c) You two are counting kills

    d) Xerxes likes Gimli the best

    Just an observation,

    Raph = Infernape

    Donatello = Rhyperior

  • How could you forget Battletoads when you were listing some of the best beat 'em ups?

  • @EmuMan1490 Cause I don't really consider them that great, they're just an internet meme to go "OH HAY GAEMSTOP DO U HAZ BATTLETOADZ LOLOLOL"

I've played a handful. They were fun, but I never feel an itch or a nostalgic memory to play them again like I do with the other Beat 'em ups.

NES version does take the cake on hardest game of all time though.

  • @mtgxerxes You should check out Guardian Heroes if you like beat 'em ups. It was for the Sega Saturn, but it was ported to the XBox 360. It's similar to Castle Crashers, but it has more unique characters and a branching storyline.

  • Scott Pilgram vs the World is a good beatemup for XBLA and PSN.

Also, I love this game. I remember beating by myself twice in one day on the SNES when I was a kid and was so happy with myself. My mom screamed at me though.

  • The Subspace emissary in SSBB is kind of a revival of the genre. And now there are loads of Co-op Platformers: DK country Returns, New Super Mario bros, Kirby Epic Yarn. Rayman Origins. The platforming element makes them more fun to me too.

Wow... you took a TON of damage when you died there.

  • @blitz2498 Lol yeah his defense is trash. Pretty much gotta try to not get hit, which is hard cause he needs to be all up in everyones grill. Due to his power and speed he goes enemy to enemy real quick as well

Raph is a blast to play as.

  • OMFG I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!

  • I love when Tokka and Rahzar run into each other, causing damage to one another.

  • yes its a great beat em up game even thoughh I olike 2 better

  • YES

  • how do you play on the pc togther ?

  • @megamamn Took a lot of work figuring out the netplay on the emulator.... thankfully, Andrew did all the research and trial + error and I just got to play lol.

  • Using Raphael like a champ! You can definitely see your competitive side come out early as you were totally point racing and taking his kills. I'll have to see if he can make a massive turnaround and bring that point difference closer.

  • "Turtle Power"

  • nooooooooooooooooo

  • I think they're saying "Kowabunga" when you think they're saying "salt power"

  • @MusicalH0bo I think Andrew mentions in part two that he thinks they're saying "The Power".

I'm 99.9% sure its NOT anything to do with salt, but I refuse to care. I'm sticking to my salt pizza.

  • @mtgxerxes I thought it was "Turtle Power!"

  • I do believe this is known as YouTube gold.

  • fuck yeah

  • P.S COWA-FUCKING-BUNGA!!

  • so this is gonna be your new lp series.

  • @bubnow If you count 2 episodes as a series... then sure lol.

  • Saw this in my sub box: "OH MY GOD YES."

Andrew seems a little reserved as far as talking goes. Loosen up bud!

Two best turtles are Raph and Don? Maybe overall as actual characters, but as far as their stats go in the game, Don is the worst in 3 areas, and is generally worse than Mikey in all of 'em.

Pretty sure it's just Bomb Pizza. Although your name for it is way better.

Yeah, never got past Slash. He's just too much for my younger self. But that didn't make me love the game any less!

  • Man this brings back memories. I loved going to the arcade and wasting ten dollars worth of quarters with my friends trying to finish these games. It is a shame that all arcades nowadays have the same boring genres and even fewer actual games worth playing. If I wasn't at the arcade playing these games I'd be chilling at home playing them on my Sega Genesis and SNES!

  • :"ASKLDJ:LAJS:LDSAJ i just splooged my pants when i saw this in my subbox

  • NOOO WAYYY !!! Def one of my fave games in my childhood :DD

  • Volkster: Now this was the game back in the days. One of the best beatem ups for the SNES! Well in my opinion. Great job guys

  • No way TMNT? THROWBACK!

I love this game and it's awesome to see you playing it XD

  • :]
