Was looking for Neil Young doing this at the Bob Dylan tribute concert and found this instead. Glad I did as have not seen it before and never new it existed and it is awsom! Thanks very much for posting!
Utterly amazing video. Three legendary masters on stage ( R.I.P. Clarence ). Interesting to watch the body language between both of them. Clearly Bruce knows who he is on stage with. Neil absolutely blew the roof off the house when he performed this at Dylan's 60th Birthday Bobfest. And Dylan himself performed a "smokin" version of Watchtower at Woodstock 2. But Hendrix's cover is still the best.
their voices don't have the best harmony... i prefer the Neil Young & Pearl Jam version, but this is still an amazing video, what a stageful of talent
Shakeyly inspired, Bruce just absolutely SHREDs on his solo ... and even Clarence unbridles the screech! My only regret is that Nils Lofgren wasn't pulled from the backround for a little Startime himself, given how much he's contributed to both men's music.
And behold, here come riders, horsemen in pairs!” And the watchman answered and said, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods he hath shattered to the ground.”
Jimi messes up the lyrics.
