Wow, I've been watching some of Keith's vids for the first time in a while, but this is just beautiful, great song, and he's quite a singer. Very impressed, and very humble man who I think under-estimates his influence ;) Cheers for posting!
I also wanted to add to my comment earlier but ran out of space. You are to thank for telling me that night as well as my friend John who at the time I think was playing for T Grahm Brown that I needed to breath calm down and rock it and do what I love that night in Nashville. You are an amazing bass player and an even better person with a great heart and incredible spirit. I saw you do something that night I had never seen a bass player do. Keep it Up buddy and once again thank you.Charlie Eads
Hey Charlie, well thanks for the very kind words and yes I do remember you. Glad I was able to help in anyway, don't know what i did that night that you had never seen a bassplayer do? LOL! Thanks for writing and hope you're doing well and have a Happy Thanksgiving! Peace!
Thank You for responding to my post. And you are just as modest as I remember you to be. You are and amzing bass player and yes I had not at that point ever seen anyone play like that before. But then I saw my friend Ira Dean play for the first time and then I realized i was a fan of both of you guys. I hope you had a great turkey day and have a wonderful Christmas nad new years as well. keep playing and i will keep watching-Charlie
@tazthumper Hi Keith - I've been checking out bass players from around the world for years and you are right, you are not the third best, you are the best. Trust me I'm not just blowing smoke here. Your timing and execution combined with the feeling and passion you put into your art, it's just incredible. Thank you for sharing your gift.
@JustDavidE Thanks for the kind words, but I'm no where near my comrades growing up, Vic, James and Oteil. I'm just proud to have grown up with such monster players, I just do what I do and thanks so much for appreciating it!! God Bless! Keith

Iwas 14 at the time and you were playing with Tanya Tucker at the time. Just wanted tosay thank u for helping a kid who was intimidated by the band I was with that night get started. Thanks for your inspiration and warm heart.Hot Apple Pie Rocks.-Charlie Eads
Keith, This is Joe Santos from Va.Beach,I don't know if you remember me I use hang out with you when you played with Secrets,we saw Stu Hamm clinic together.I just wanted to thank you for all the inspiration.Watching you play and the respect you showed some just starting shows why just your playing isn't what makes you a great musician.THANKS.
Hi, this is Keith Horne and just wanted to clear the air, a reader's poll many years ago in Bassplayer Magazine had me listed as no. 3, I am not the 3rd best bassplayer in the world, they're so many monster players including my friends I grew up with like Victor Wooten, James Genus, and Oteil Burbridge, they're the real monsters of bass guitar! I was very embarrased by this comment put on the video, anyone who knows me knows I'm so far from an egotistical guy! Thank you for reading this!! Keith
Thanks for the kind words GreenbergBass, I have to give props to those monsters I grew up with in Va, I'm not even close to their league but thank you for thinking of me in that light of playing!!
@tazthumper Hey Keith! Unreal playing as usual. Have you been in contact with Mark Matejka recently? How's he liking Skynyrd? You guys need to do another Hot Apple Pie album.
PS - Who sings the high harmony in California King at 3:21?
