IT IS THE 1943 COPPER PENNY (feel free to research this topic on your own)

  • I didn't research, but I do know that nearly all USA coins are made with 2 or more metal alloys (components)

Zinc has been used in the production of various coins - the percentage used fluctuates from time to time

  • What do you know about zinc quaters,I have one I think it was made in 1945 please reaserch for me.

  • i have one watch my video

  • wanna post as video response to share w/viewers?

  • i thought they werent supposed to be magnetic

  • I was demonstrating authenticity

An authentic 1943 'copper' penny shouldn't stick to a magnet

  • A 1943 penny is one of the most expensive coins because it was melted down during the allied war effort and very few remain. If that is a legit 1943 penny that is your key to retirement.

  • Yes, if you're referring to a copper 1943 penny - some were accidentally made when the machines making them switched production to zinc coated steel pennies. The residual copper remaining before the switch was enough to make a handful of the rare & scarce penny.

  • omg i have a 1942 penny and it has the same sighn thing on the back of the 1943 penny so is it still valuable

  • oh wow, you mean a double face or double back(duplicate)? Or you're making an observation of the wheat penny - I'm kinda confused

  • well i kinda didnt understand what you said either lol but what im saying is that its a year before 1943 and it has that wheat symbol on the back. is it still valuable?

  • Wheat pennies were commonly made throughout early 1900's

  • how much is a 1945 penny?

  • I believe there is a currency value list on the internet

  • i have a 1941 penny,a 1944 x2 pennies,a1945 penny,a 1950 penny,a 1950 penny and a 1989 pennie how much is it worth???

  • the older ones are probably worth a few cents

You should find out current value through coin collector/dealer websites

  • the silver ones arent worth anyone except....ummmmmm.............1 cent

  • so if it sticks to the magnet its real?

    then i got two

  • A lot of people misunderstood this vid.

The opposite of what you said is true

  • I have 4

  • i have one of those

i also have an 1835 large one cent piece about an inch in diameter. any idea how much that is worth?

  • The largest penny in US history! I've never seen one in person.

I hear it's value is less than $30

of course, if it contains special markings or manufacturing errors, value goes up even more

  • so how do i find out if the silver penny i have is worth 85k

  • I think you misunderstood the vid o.O

  • i have a silver penny

  • dude i have 5-

    3 P's

    1 S

    1 D

  • some silver pennies r worth up 2 10,000$

  • yeah, pretty much any coin that has special markings or part of a limited series is valued higher

  • i have a silver penny with dated 2006, what is that worth?

  • It's either a regular penny that has been altered or not a real penny.

To my knowledge, 1943 is the only year these were made.

  • that's so cool! but if you have one, isn't it worth something?

  • got a 43 copper. whats it worth?

  • I have a 1943 silver penny. Found it in the cash register when I was working at Burger King. I've also found a 1890's nickel (face was completely worn off so can't see date, and back was almost gone, just a "V" left), a 1943(?) Silver nickel, a Mercury Dime, a 1913 penny, a Buffalo nickel, and some other uncommon coins.

  • dude right before i got on i was looking in my dads coin collection he has one of those and i new they were relle rare but not enough to be worth 85000 thats awsome

  • Wow kool I'll have to check behind the couch lol

  • Time to get busy ;-)

There are still some unaccounted for!

  • awsome!

  • omg-ness

  • wow cool thanx for sharing

  • my grandpa has one of em

  • you make me feel old

  • sry man i mean my yonest grandpa

  • That means you own 85.000??

  • ...yeah, then I woke up!

My zinc-coated steel penny is not the one worth over $80K

It's the copper 1943 penny. But ever since, it's been a habit to always check my change... what's lurking in your spare change and/or penny jar? Under your car seats, hmm.
