  • Looks like a cheap copy of the 1997 film, there's two characters that even look like Jack and Rose

  • cant stand that movie, only bit i liked was ending with the real people and seeing there storys, till thay ruined it with saying, William McMaster Murdoch commited suicide when he realy didnt he keeped rescuing people and trying to get life boats re turnd but was washed over bord in to sea and died on ipact of wave, that movie pissed me and his family off. would like to mthink bring it bk out is for the memory on the titanic but 3D now i know hes a greedy git.

  • I've added the episode descriptions!

  • This trailer gives away that the ship sinks! Now we all know the ending!

  • Jack and Rose were from the other side of the ship.

  • When I was watching,

I always hoped to see faces like Kate or Leo..

  • its just missing michelle dockery....

  • Ooh this looks GOOD, can't wait to see it on the TV .. :0)x

  • I hope Julian Fellowes has the sense to NOT depict the ship breaking in two above the water, because that is NOT what happened. Until 1985 when the wreck was discovered, people always believed the ship sank in one piece as it broke in two underwater.

However, this does look like a fine version.

  • They didn't show Jack and Rose in this trailer...weird.

  • Ugh...Mrs. Bates...

  • @livelongnprosper92 Now all we need is James and Patrick

  • This looks a hell of a lot better than James Cameron's version, this one focuses on more than 2 people, it focuses on actual people that were on the Titanic.

  • @ArchieKennedyFan The trailer reminds me of the old film "A Night to Remember," which I still think the best of all films about Titanic. If Fellowes can just recapture the authenticity of what really happened, the drama will be gripping. In my book Titanic: One Newspaper, Seven Days, and the Truth That Shocked the World I make clear that Titanic really was designed not to sink. In the previous twenty years, only 82 people had lost their lives in British shipping accidents.

  • @swhines .. Ooh, wasn't that the one with Kenneth Moore in it?? Cracking film and one of my fav versions so far.. I hope this one lives up to that one.. :

Best regards from Wales .. 0)x

  • Will we see Kate Winslet's titties in this?

  • This is just a rip off of that film a few years back.

  • @hedleyhill11 You're very naive to believe so.

  • @hedleyhill11 Cameron's film was just a rip-off of "A Night To Remember".

  • @maddalicex Not really. Completely different story.

  • Titanic: Birth of a Legend was an amazing re-telling of the construction and political/religious conflicts at that time. I think it's about time that something new came along since Cameron's film. Mind you, Cameron's film was spectacular the way it is, but there comes a time when something different must come out. I'm not saying 'Blood and Steel' is a bad idea, I'm saying that 'Titanic' will be a refreshing way to tell the story differently than Cameron's love story.

  • I can't wait! I'll watch anything by Fellowes!

  • Let's face it - we all know it'll sink. Its everything else that will be interesting.

  • Is the nurse/stewardess at 0:41 meant to be Violet Jessop? One of the actual survivors of the Titanic.

I am hugely excited that there will be a drama series about Tianic on British TV, but I thoroughly agree that there is appears to be an another identical drama series like all the others produced. Downtown Abbey is excellently made and acted so if this has the same care and attention paid to it, it may separate iself from the others. It really will need to be absolutely compelling though.

  • Talk about pointless. I am interested in the miniseries charting the building of the ship, but I don't think we need yet another account of the actual sinking.

  • @navrig44 It's for the 100th Anniversary of the ACTUAL SINKING. How naive can you be?

  • @jPod07 Yes I am aware of that. Doesn't mean we need to see yet another drama about it. The BBC series Titanic: Blood and Steel looks at the ship from a whole other angle. Much more interesting than what looks like a pretty join the dots account of the voyage this drama is showing.

  • @navrig44 Julian Fellowes version will be about the untold stories by focusing on the human drama of the tragedy by a different perspective. He's introduced a lot of historical characters that's never been introduced before (ie Wideners, Thayers, Dorothy Gibson, Allisons). We will follow the lives of different characters told from each point of view until all their stories are drawn together in the final episode. 'Blood & Steel' actually got dropped by the BBC. No broadcaster has bought it yet.

  • Should air simultaneously abound the world on from the 14th April 2012

  • AWESOME!!! Can't wait! Looks amazing!

  • I feel like I just watched the whole miniseries after seeing this trailer...

  • @classicsfan10 Yes, you just watched 4 episodes in 2 minutes -.-

  • @classicsfan10 LOL, I felt the same too.

  • I will watch it... but doesn't this look like "Titanic: Without Jack and Rose" ?

  • @CeilteachLuna It will be focused on the human version of the tragedy by following the lives of different characters told from each point of view that will end in a cliff-hanger. Only in the fourth and final episode will all the characters' stories be drawn together in an explosive conclusion by showing who lives and who dies.

  • @CeilteachLuna Exactly, nothing will ever top James Cameron's Version...

  • @Oleh2011 A Night To Remember does...

  • @CeilteachLuna THANK GOD!

  • @CeilteachLuna this series includes the inspiration for jack and rose, the rose character was a maid to the countess of rothes who fell in love with a steward. Look up Roberta Maotii, this will explain more about the love story !

  • @CeilteachLuna: u mean like the real titanic, i would rather have something realistic than fake like that movie.

  • I suppose there's always the hope of no naked people in this one : )

  • When will this air in the USA?

  • @shysweetangel83 April 2012 on ABC (the dates of the 100th anniversary I believe)..

  • I'd rather watch Titanic 3D

  • I can't wait to watch this! ^_^
