  • U can also use aftershave for this experiment it's just that it stinks

And it can b done on any surface cus only the alcohol gets burnt and the surface remains intact without any spots

  • OMG that looks really cool.

  • That hurt very bad

  • right here can i use only hand santizer and flame?

  • Is it possible to apply on wooden area ?

  • does it hurt

  • how long can you have the fire on yo hand

  • I tried this and it was awesome! it only hurts quickly when you leave it on for a several seconds

  • ok, that hurt

  • What to place it on does it matter? could it be a regular counter top?

  • That's freakin awesome

  • Do you have to put water in it

  • i wanna see some 1 mess this up

  • When did the idea... I am going to light my hand on fire come to your mind?

  • How do you put it out? Will water worke?

  • @camfighter22 You can blow it out or add water. When I had it on my hand, I just shook my hand, which basically blew out the flame. Hand sanitizer is mostly water anyway, so the flame doesn't really want to burn.

  • One person caught their hair on fire with this.

  • u can even use deo insted of sanitizer :)

  • WUT SORCERY IS THIS???

  • how do u put it out and your hand wont work???

  • what kind of hand santizer to use? and does the fire feel warm?

  • @amandachristina123 It doesn't matter what brand you use as long at it contains at least 60% alcohol. The fire is hot. You can hold it maybe a couple of seconds, but that's it.

  • does it hurt in any way?

  • you can forget about putting borox on you hands

  • it doesnt burn i tried it it feels good!!

  • I guess you can say...

    *puts on sunglasses*

    futsang is on fire!

  • Is it safe can you burn yourself

  • love this vid totally safe to do i might do this what can i put it on tho

  • Yes, let's mix alcohol with a bunch of toxic chemicals to designed to kill life and burn it!!!!!!

  • Is that safe?

  • Are the chemicals toxic once burnt? Will it give u skin disease? O my god ahhhhhhhhh! *set hand on fire* hehehe lol. Jk

  • @allicat1968 It's ethyl alcohol in water. Except for the fragrance it's pretty much the same chemicals you'd use to make a flaming dessert. So, no, not particularly toxic. If hand sanitizer gives you skin disease then that kind of negates using it in the first place, right?

  • @futsang lol you totally burned that troll.

  • @futsang I meant what kind of desk did u put the fire on to begin with?

  • @daVIDandCrazyHobo Oh, that's just a black plastic cutting board, so the flame would show up against a dark background :)

  • What kind of Platform did you put it on? Can u just put it in your hand?

  • @daVIDandCrazyHobo That's just my hand.

  • Is This safe ? does it burn Your skin ? and how long can it be in Your hands ?

  • @vivalauri777 The chemicals are safe. It's always a good plan to use caution with fire. It does not burn you immediately, but as other people have commented, it will burn if you keep it on your skin more than a couple of seconds.

  • FYI, this dude is a professional, usually people can't hold the fire on them as long as he can so don't be thinking it's only THAT HOT! I've touched it and could barely resist 2 seconds of it.

  • I'm 12 years old and tried this yesterday with three of my cousins we got carried away and used all the hand sanitizer its so fun it doenst burn only after 5 seconds after my cousin put it all over his hands and said im the master of fire it was funny when it got too hot he just shaked his hands and the fire went away so COOL

  • hey if i dont have Boric Acid then how to remove it from ur hands and is it safe and not burns your hands??

  • @iGadgetFan You don't need boric acid. It's just a chemical you can use to color the flames green. If you do use boric acid, you can simply rinse it off with water when you're done with the project.

  • @futsang in your video its says wash your hands with boric acid you should add and annotation to just say wash your hands after your done playing

  • cool! do you have any OTHER videos?! please go to my video!

  • What's the importance of this project? And if the flame is already in my hand, how do I put it off?

  • @aketchsiPotpot You can shake it out or put your other hand over it to smother the flame. A practical application of this project would be demonstration of flame test colors or the emission spectra of metal salts. I've had good luck using metal salts in the flame to produce the colors. Liquid alcohol works fine, but this flame tends to be easier to control and is longer-lasting.

  • Thank you

  • Is this a risk of getting a burn or is it ok to play with? And how come when u get close to the flame it gets hot rather than cold?

  • Question. How come when i get close to the flame it gets hot rather than cool? And is this a risk of getting a burn or is it ok to play with.

  • @305Xtream It's cool relative to other flames... like a wood fire or propane flame. It's still hot. There's always a risk of getting burned playing with fire.

  • cool but one quick question wat do you mean dont coat large areas of skin with it

  • @gonzalez7178 I mean fire can burn you. Don't cover your hand in it or any other large area of skin or you'll risk a burn.

  • @futsang k thnx

  • Im trying it tommorrow

  • Im not trying it... If I do it wrong, i can kiss my hand goodbye :P

  • I am new to your posts---great stuff! My twins are 7th graders interested in Science so this is perfect for them:)

  • Ok thanks man!! I Tried it its sick!!!!! and plus its a good holoween effect light or whatever haha

  • @futsang ok thanks one more question when it goes on your hand will it burn you or will it just be warm????

  • @shoktrooper159 It's very hot. A couple of seconds won't burn you, but you don't want it on there much longer than that.

  • I did this and filled a glass with it and it made a great night light really cool gotta try this

  • you've got some baseball sized balls to test that out

  • Isnt blue flame the hottest flame????? sorry if im ironic.......

  • @shoktrooper159 Color and temperature primarily depend on the fuel that is burned, so it isn't necessarily true that a blue flame is hotter than, say, a yellow flame. If the combustion temperature increases, like in a mixed fuel, then yes, you do move along the spectrum as more energy is emitted.

  • I LOVE THIS! SO Easy to complete and is very cool (:

  • awesome
