  • I assume "The Moment" is a type of weapon.

  • u dont fuck with a time lord

  • @irishdan2007

    And certainly not with Rassilon.

  • 0:08 to 0:25 Why are there never handrails?! Dangerous walking on a narrow passage high above the floor.

  • @JunkyardCrap was thinking the same thing, waste of a regeneration falling off that thing!!!!!

  • I love the music for this scene!

  • SUKRAM go hang around a public toilet you mroonic little pervert.....this about Dr Who you scumlicking dirtbag

  • ooooooooooooooooooooo...

  • I reckon they ought to bring back omega one more time.

  • You never know. Omega may be the main villain of the Series 5 finale.

  • Comment removed

  • Doesn't Rassilon's gauntlet look like the ones they have on Torchwood?

  • Of course Doctor Who isn't just a children's programme, I know that! D:

  • You certinaly proved that through your previous comments! D:<

  • Assuming that too is a sarcastic statement, how do you mean? o.o

  • I don't know anymore, fogive my insanity. >_>

  • When does the full episode come out

  • The womengot pwned owned

  • aparrently lalla ward was in this ep...who did she play??

  • @almightyjass

    Yes, it's just a stupid children's programme.

    -.-

That's why it's been running for decades...

The TARDIS is the ultimate plot generator, anything can happen, anywhere, anywhen. -.o

  • @Mooshique: are you like insane?

I mean like, seriously, just how many "children's programs" have heavy emotional scenes, occasionally have blood, sexuality is a common theme, there was a gay kiss once, and there are frequence sexual reference?

Bloody hell, get your facts right. It is a family or ANYONE program, not a children's program. On family terms, it has themes no other family show would dare ven explore, let alone a children's show.

    Good lord.

  • Sadly, it is anything but a children's programme or family programme any longer. RTD saw to that.

  • It is an... everything programme. The producers even said it has no basic theme - each and every story is different from the previous, because the show explores many different types of stories and different elements.

We have light, dark, action, psychological (i.e. Midnight, creepy (such as Blink), ect..

It makes Doctor Who unique... different themes, and it has no paticular age target.

  • Yeah, that's the beauty of Doctor Who. It's diversity in stories and themes is what makes it unique.

  • @XxXLucozadeXLoverXxX

I wasn't the one calling it a children's programme, I was repeating what almightyjass said, intended as a sarcastic statement...

I was supporting the show. >.>

Direct your hostilities at almightyjass. O_O

  • @XxXLucozadeXLoverXxX they can indulge in that shit behind closed doors, NOT in front of impressionable kids.Whats the matter with people...ITS WRONG ON A KIDS SHOW.

  • @MrZOMBIFICATION Who gives a damn anymore? It's the one show that's not afraid to let and younger viewers see these things, and quite fraknly, they don't mind. Most of the darker themes got unnoticed by younger viewers.

Plus, it's not even a kid's show. It's a family show with darker themes behind it, sexual references only some would understand, ect.. Plus, the show is critucally acclaimed for its mult-genre nature, and all of what you critisise.

  • @XxXLucozadeXLoverXxX Its an agenda by middle aged homosexuals to recruit future partners and turn the world queer...sick bastards.

  • @MrZOMBIFICATION --you are a disgusting homophob and YOU shouldn't be in front of impressionable kids you worthless sack of shit. Wake up and live in the 21st century--and if you ahte the show so much why are you watching it on youtube, you moron??

  • @MrZOMBIFICATION you are a disgusting homophobic moron. f you ahte the show so much, why are you watching it on you tube?? YOU shouldn't be in front of impressionable kids with all your hate speech...I feel sorry for idiots like you. Wake up and live in the 21st century!

  • 1:19= is it me, or does that timelord behind the president look like sylvester mcoy?

  • If only it were. I'd like to see the 7th Doctor get in this mess and clean it up. "Excuse me Rassilon, or whoever you are, the Hand of Omega is in my care! You will not exterminate another Time Lord today."

  • @WC3POchannel10A

rassilon: soz, but this aint the hand of omega, considering davros destroyed it (accidentally). this... is da hand of pwnage! >8D

    doctor: 0_0

  • Hate to burst your bubble, but the Hand of Omega may not have been destroyed. After it backfired on Davros' ship and destroyed Skaro, the Doctor said the Hand returned to Gallifrey. However, it's possible that it may have been destroyed when Gallifrey was in the Time War. But what Rassilon was using definately wasn't the Hand of Omega. For one, the Hand wasn't a gauntlet, it was a casket. Plus, whereas the Hand could destroy Planets, Rassilon's gauntlet could only disintegrate one living being.

  • @Kaagh178 in "trial of a time lord the valleyard was reaeled to be the dr. at the end of his regeneration cycle. does that mean that the dr. after this new dr. becomes the valleyard?

  • @MrTRENCHMEN No. A Time Lord has thirteen lives. When the Doctor reaches his thirteenth and final life, he MAY (nothing is for definate and the matter was left ambiguous) become the Valeyard. The Doctor is currently on his eleventh life (Matt Smith). He has two more regenerations to go before he becomes the thirteenth Doctor.

  • @Kaagh178 didnt they recont it to say he only had 12 lives now?...sometimes the new series goes against whats in the old series

  • @darthkarr No, they said that he has 12 regenerations. Which gives him 13 lives. he can't regenerate after his 13th life. But don't worry. As said in 'The Five Doctors', a Time Lord can be bestowed a completely new life cycle of 13 new lives.

  • @Kaagh178 i know part..but woudnt that be out the window now with the timelords gone?...as they were the only ones who could..and besides...i doubt the doctor would accpet that offer

  • @darthkarr Indeed. But the Time Lords have already returned once. Who's to say they won't try to come back again? After all, the Master is trapped with them now, on the last day of the Time War. I reckon he won't stay there for long. ;)

  • @Kaagh178 actually thats one of the reasons why im not watrching the new series...plus the reuse of the dalkes, vampires, cybermen...to me its just gone too far now, and their jsut abusing the characters...ive ebign a fan for lyears and loved the old series and the new trmendously..but theres a limit...also the doc mothers being in the end of time?...imo the whole genetic looms are a muich better idea than randomly giving him a human mother

  • @darthkarr The looms were certainly an interesting idea, but Davies has made that non canon, with the implication that Time Lords reproduce sexually. Even though Davies intended Claire Bloom's character to be the Doctor's mother, he leaves it ambiguous.

  • @darthkarr Besides, no one said his mother was human, except for in the TV Movie. This fact was retconned in the IDW Comic, The Forgotten. The Daleks must always feature, it wouldn't be Doctor Who without them. Same goes for the Cybermen. As for the Vampire fish people, they might not appear again. Personally, I like Series 5 and think that Steven Moffat imbued the Show with new life. I'll stay as a true fan of Doctor Who to the bitter end.

  • Yer tennant is easily the best but this new guy looks like he has pertential. But what I don't get is how come the profercy seys that he going to die but he just re-generates.

  • have to wait til next week now for this ep

  • teh woman get pwned lol

  • godesse bless holland for having bbc

  • i am in australia and i have to wait until valentines day to watch the end of time :(

  • @sholoh99 WOW that sucks so much lol

  • @sholoh99 --are you crazy? it was on a few days after Xmas Day in Australia--I watched it myself. I live in canberra

  • And not be like those Galaxy Quet and star Trek fans.

  • Yes maybe they did. They also sent the doctor to undo what they did or their dirty work on Genisis of the Daleks. They might have also changed Dalek history and made it worse and maybe more than once since they never even travled through time until the chase and maybe never. The history Skaro was different in the first Dalek episode. I was going to say that on about another video.

  • @britfrenir in genesis of the daleks i don't think history was changed at all. I think that the daleks rulling the world had been a prediction of the time war, and when the timelords saw this they sent the doctor to stop it however bying trying to stop it, it created it if you know what i mean. on the offical dr. who site they say the genesis of the daleks was what caused the time war

  • I meant it is different than the history in season one an they were able to go out side of their city after that and they were able to travel through time later and even more different by Genisis.

  • The UK is lucky... I have to wait till [Insert deity here or leave blank] knows when my local PBS station will play this!

  • I want a gauntlet like that!! Do you think they sell them on eBay? And not some replica. I want the real deal lol.

  • BIG mistake for calling Tim Dalton 'Rassilon' because it is explained in 'The Invasion of Time' AND 'The Five Doctors', in which both episodes contain the Time Lords, that Rassilon died thousands of years before the episode is set. So how possibly could he still be alive in 'The End of Time' which is set during the Time War?

  • if they could ressurect the master, then why not rassilon?

  • because rassilon in the 5 doctors special wasnt dead he was suspended eternaly in time ..lord president borusa was also suspended in time when he sought immortality..the 1st doctor alluded to that when he quoted rassilons decree that to win immortality was to lose..which is why the doctor didnt take it for himself.its apparent that in desperate times the timelords turned to their civilizations creator rassilon himself for an extreme final solution...

  • @powerhousechipmunk23: it's probably a common Gallyfreyan name.

  • He didn't die, he was put in 'eternal sleep'. And it is sci-fi, where there's will, there's a way.

  • He never really died. Rassilon was immortal. His spirit lived on way past death, as shown in his Tomb in The Five Doctors. Romana, an old companion of the Doctor's was President of Gallifrey before the War. She either died or simply fell from power. The Time Lords then decided to resurrect the founder of Time Lord society, Rassilon to lead them in the Time War.

  • @Kaagh178

Romana was stranded in a parallel universe - to get back home and become President would have been impressive! Surely someone that clever would have put up a bit more of a fist fight in the 'Time War'. I feel a plot twist coming on don't you......

  • @lozman67 There is a series of audio stories called Gallifrey. In that, Romana returns to Gallifrey from E-Space with K-9 MK II. She eventually becomes Lady President. Leela and K-9 MK I are also in the Series. Russell T Davies seems to support this series as canon, as he writes in the 2005 Doctor Who Annual that Romana was President of Gallifrey before the Time War began. Also, in the IDW Comic, 'The Forgotten', the Doctor reminises that things went well for Romana, until the Time War.

  • They tryied, but some people don't get it

  • Of course I am! That's where the problem lies! With his crazy talk that just doesn't go away

  • I hadn't watched the episode.

  • All this is over some crazy 30second sence at a bar? how do u find anything in that dirty?

would u find it dirty if he was sitting next to some slutty chick? its not like there was an orgy going on or something if u really cared about kids why not bitch about the fact that chicks shorts are getting smaller and smaller (in aussie at the moment the longest shorts my kid sister can find is the same size as my foot NOW THAT is FUCKED up

  • i only got that last few commets of that convo i think it was something about gay ppl and all i can say is what are u guys talking about i have not seen anything filthy on doctor who at all all i have seen is a cool tv show that likes to show ppl in love at the end of the day they are not hurting anyone apart from ppl who seem to hate other ppl just coz they like or love someone thats diff to who they are if u could see it from a gay point of view (just love that's all

  • This isnt anti-gay, its anti dirty arse Barrowman and Davies. There was no need for thar bar scene, he knows kids are watching.

  • @MrZOMBIFICATION PRECISELY!! he knows kids are watching so he shows them that not all great relationships on tv have to be straight! GO RTD is what I say! he's only standing up to homophobes like YOU

  • @horseemad222 No, hes a sick dirty man...just like you.

  • @MrZOMBIFICATION Let me point out the flaws in your argument.

    1) I am not a man, neither am I sick or dirty

    2) Your insipid little brain needs to accept difference and not feel threatened by it. Tolerance is the way forward, Russell knows this and is trying to pass that message onto all the viewers of Doctor Who, be they adults, children or teenagers like me.

  • @horseemad222 Says you, us parents dont want kids lookin at that shit..fuck tolerence, fuck davies and fuck YOU.

  • kids might watch this video and see your filthy language parents pay internet serveses for this shit?

  • Im havin my say, the BBC are takin the piss.

  • well you can hardly complane about what children might see then swere where kids might see it you can't have your cake and eat it to

  • Kids hear bad language, they don't need to see 2 fellas ogling each other, unless you're a closet paedophile.

  • just cos im gay and support gay rights make me a pedo? if it was a man and a woman doing the same no one would have any problem your just a homophobe

  • Ah, labelling me eh. I admit watching that stuff turns my stomach, most straight guys feel the same, its hard for us to watch that stuff. You be gay, that is your right, but i dont want my kids watchin that shit on the telly.you may want them to, hoping it generates better tolerence with next generation. If a boy copied something he seen on tv, and was straight, he'd be ridiculed and would struggle to come to terms with that later in life wouldnt he? Leading to drug+drink problems.

  • so are you

  • Because you want kids to learn about gays and gay sex. If you had kids, which you never will, you'd understand.

  • Actually, how do u know i wont have kids? can you see into the future? er no, sorry, i must have mistaken you for someone important, and i have a 10 year and a 5 year cousin and they love Jack Harkness, they dont care that he's gay because IT'S JUST A SHOW

  • i bet you bought them the toy.

  • no, they like the doctor better, but they still like cptn jack

  • I would have never expected the something to be the planet Gallifrey.. nice job RTD and Co. and having Tim Dalton play the Lord President... thumbs up.. I just always assumed that Romana was the Lady President during the Time War.

  • Getting Timothy Dalton to play the Time Lord Emperor, what a masterstroke!

  • weel he said he will not die noboaedy Know's when thay going to die

  • just stop and think about what your typing for one second!!! has it occurred to you that you are not only offending John B. and Russell D. but you are offending everyone with your hateful comments!! The commenting feature was made so that people could compliment each other and not use it for insulting, because if people just insulted all the time, the whole world would sink into a deep depression....so, please stop it!!

  • "just stop and think about what your typing for one second!!!" it kinda sounds like what the dr says to the master

  • hehehe, it does lol!! doctor who must be rubbing off on me, hehehe

  • I ONLY WANT HELP YOU ALL.

  • I think mattsmith is gonna go fine, itll be a nice teeenager spin on the doctor.

Zombification u shud throw u comp in the bin, nobody wants ur opinions

  • Well this was a fine episode, and a fitting departure for David Tenant. I have strong reservations about the future, "Jeronimo!!!!" WTF??

  • @crmfghtr --give poor Matt Smith a chance--and learn to spell "Geronimo"!!

  • @anisapologist Actually the correct spelling is Jeronimo as people were crying to St. Jeronimo for help when being attacked by a native american. After people yelled Jeronimo! to him so many times the name stuck. The spelling of his name was made Geronimo. As for Matt Smith, I said I had strong reservations, if you know the meaning of that sentence you would know it doesn't mean I am not giving him a chance, it means withholding judgement, concerned etc

  • @crmfghtr --what the fuck are you on about? I don't know anything about saints because I'm not a religious person, and don't believe in God, but I am an American who specialised in native American studies in college and we were always taught the correct spelling of the Native American hero is Geronimo...don't know what the fuck you are about with saints, but the Native American is spelled that way. Case closed.

  • @MrZOMBIFICATION You are a fuckwit. Shut up!

  • See, now everything makes sense. James Bond is President of the Time Lords! Now we know why they kick so much ass!

  • @ballantrae101 LOLOLOLOL!!!! I was thining th esame thing! lol! those eyes could kill!

  • I think that this will allow other time lords to escape destruction, so brace yourselves kiddies more time lords will pop up in the future.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHH

  • die already you fool.

  • kill her off. she cant act for shit.

  • yeah a shit actor! woo hooo!!!

  • I'm sorry for treating you with some slight respect just for being a human being, I guess the term Sir shouldnt be given to children.

Let me speak slow enough and simple enough for you to understand

    IF.....YOU.......DONT...LIKE...THE

(are you getting this, or am I going to quick for you)

    SHOW...THEN...WHY...NOT...PISS...OFF!!!!

But your too stupid, you'll just reply by saying "Dr Cunt Who HA HA HA FUCK SHIT INBRED HA HA HA"

Why dont you take a knife and kill yourself

  • LOl! Really?! Your'e response is what I expect from an illiterate deviant that you are. Your birth certificate was an apology to the world. I honestly wish I could take you seriuosly, but COME ON! You spew profanity like an uneducated mongrel. This is the best you can come up with in the amount of time it has been since the last post? Really?! Enjoy the pathetic existence you have.

  • Comment removed

  • I just notieced the music at the start is a war-like version of the Gallifrey theme.

  • I hope they make a specials soundtrack with that on it

  • DR WHO

    the MMORPG

    with me?/??

  • I think the Time Lords will be back. It has never been established how the Doctor knows EVERY Gallifreyan died when the planet burned, which opens up the notion that some clever bad ones (and some good ones, who rebelled against the high council's corruption) may have slipped away.

  • @unremoved Like Romana?

  • Yup, especially Romana. Would've been great if the Council scene had mentioned that some 'remnant' (led by Romana) that pined for the old days of the Time Lords was also missing.

  • @unremoved THAT would be BRILLIANT!!!

I hear Lalla married Richard Dawkins!

But anyway, that idea is brilliant!

You should write for the show.

But if they ever made Dr Who, the MMORPG, that'd be awesomest.

  • Anyone noticed the war like version of the "Gallifrey, Our childhood, our home" at the beginning...

They didn deserve to die... but I think Rassilon will be back.

  • @Lamadredetuamigo they didnt die...

  • ; (

no! why cant the tenth doctor stay? the new trailer for the 11th doctor is crap!

  • Anyone else think that the gauntlet that Rassilon was wearing looking very similar to the Resurrection Gauntlet from Torchwood? Is there a chance that Russel T Davies was trying to leave more than a small connection with the two shows before he left? Beyond the simple references, that is.

  • I know people are upset that David Tennant is leaving (as am I), but keep in mind that Steven Moffat has taken over as lead writer and executive producer, and his stories have been *by far* the best. Even if Matt Smith is merely competent, we could be in for an *amazing* season of storytelling to come.

  • who was the woman in the episode? the Doctor's mum?

  • Yeah, she was the Doctor's mother. It was confirmed in episode commentery.

  • Well confirmed is using the term loosely, a bit like in The Last Of The Time Lords commentary where the Face of Boe and Jack were confirmed to be the same also by Julie Gardner...

However on the latter I tend to agree because that's some good sci fi. =D

  • Confirmed by Russell T. Davies and Julie Gardner, and even the manager of the actress who plays 'The Woman'.

    :)

  • Yup it was his mum, well according to the papers anyway.

  • was that the hand of omega wat he killed that woman wiv?

  • It's the doctors mum

    =D

  • Who's the old lady?

  • Which old lady? the Lady in white or the prophet

  • Who was the old lady??? The doctors mum??? Lol can someone tell me who she was.. Who issss shheeeeeee??

  • @greeny500000

I don't think we will ever know, but it gives a strong approaach towards The Doctor being related to that person.

When Wilfred asks The Doctor who she was, he changes the subject, so obviously it could be his Mother.

He always said he had a family once, but then again he sent the Time Lords back, leaving his Mother trapped there.

But i think we will never know, maybe they want us to keep guessing and questioning.

  • this also show the Timeloads knew of how they would end and they knew it would be the Doctor and Master..they made them what they are and they made their own end.. Sad...Next Eps is going to be good..New Doctor and more.

  • In the end, if you want to be mathematically picky, he knocked sixteen times.

    But who wants that?

    Prophetically, not so ominous.

    Great finale. =D

  • RASSILON!!!!!!!

  • Rassilon being the greatest of the time lords, they woken him up for lead the war.

The Master ran away when it offered to him...

  • Killed when expressed your opinion! Looks like a good episode to me!

  • @konamaiki1 no that woman who kept appearing was Donna Noble. At the end when doctor was at the wedding, wilf asked who was that woman, then the doctor looked over Wilfs shoulder and the camera zoomed into Donna Noble in the background. Also Donna is part time lord as well so she proberly remembered.

  • He might just have been caught up in reverie and did not acknowledge Wilf's question. Her identity was probably purposefully left ambiguous, like that of the woman with red nails who picked up the Master's ring in the previous finale, so it could be played with or revealed at a later time. Or we may never know. I personally think that it was a relative of his. Then again, for whatever reason, Rose's theme can be heard around her.

  • i have to say when i saw matt smith at the end i thought of two people Heath Ledger in the dark knight and Paul McGann who played the 8th doctor it looks clear to me that the 11th doctor is going to be really of his rocker and i cant wait to see GERONIMO

  • I think someone owes me an apology he was Rassilon

  • @Chrisindapurplehouse Hey on the forums i said the same and got yelled at and now I got 600 email on How did I know... Gee you want to win a war but have no clue how to fight .. who ya going to bring back ? Rassilon and we know see who made the Master Mad as well.. Great eps

  • Bit of a SPOILER! here.

But how come Rassilon is the President again, surely he is dead? ages ago?

  • Rassilon was trapped in a divergent reality in the Big Finish audios, he wasnt dead. Obviously he was brought back to lead the Time War as President.

  • @Devonfield1c sad has teh Master .. remember the TL's can put people from time.. its was idiot move with the power he has but to will a timeware you needed Rassilon .. and where have we seen a

    Gantlet like then before?

  • Holy crap, it just occured to me, Wilf is really the Doctor's old buddy Drax.

  • RTD had to give the Master powers since the last time we saw him it was the Doctgor who had them....RTD just wanted to balance things out. :-}

  • based on this advert I gotta wonder if the Timothy Dalton person is actually a pre-Utopia Master?!? That when his plan fell, he ran (as he does) to stay alive...

  • Nah Timothy Dalton is The Narrator. During The Last Great Time War, The Narrator and the rest of the Timelords were locked inside a timelock. It is revealed that the drum beats in The Master's head is a signal. Like, echolocation into the future so that they can establish a link to get out of the timelock.

  • aaw i just watched part 2 this evening and i cried buckets. i didnt want david to go. when he paid his last visits to the people he cared about started me bubbling my eyes out. matt smith the new doctor seems like a younger version of david tennant. same hair but longer lol

  • I thought it was hilarious that he felt his longer hair and questioned whether he had become a woman. I keep poking fun at my cousin for the same thing, hehe.

  • just fantastic - what a perfect ending. I'm so glad I had the biggest box of tissues handy at the end! Bernard Cribbin was brilliant, as was John Simm and of course the fantastic David Tennant! Loved it !!!!

  • David has been the rise of doctor who he is known far and wide because of doctor who if this new doctor makes the show worse, BBC will try bloody hard to get David back, even if the doctor has regenerated, there will be something the BBC can say to bring David back, the timelords were supposed to be dead but they weren't, don't worry guys David might return.

  • oh my god...i'm not ready to let the Doctor go :(

  • I didn't think I would be this upset but I was unconsoleable(sp?) at the end. I'm not going to put it here for people who haven't seen it yet but David's last line slayed me.

  • I know! I've been thinking about that last line and well it still gets me I've watched the eps 5 times.

  • R.I.P. David's Doctor. :-( will miss him!

I had absolutely made up my mind to hate Matt Smith - but thought he wasn't that bad in his tiny scene! Now I feel unfaithful...

I just hope to God that 'Geronimo!!!' isn't going to be his catchphrase!

I wonder who the mysterious woman who kept contacting Wilf was?

Funniest moment - when the Doctor set Captain Jack up with Alonso!! I laughed for about five minutes!

  • @pianofortekristina Unfortunately " Geronimo" Is his catchphrase...

Like David's was Allony or something.... :S

But I can't wait till Easter Time now!!

Oh yeah and you know that woman everyone is talking about...I think she may be just may be related to The Doctor...

Remember he said he was a Dad once maybe she is his Wife Or Mother maybe Sis I dunno but I think she's Related to His Life Majorly..

  • I honestly don't think that 'geronimo' is much worse or better than 'allons-y'. Both were are a little bit off the wall. Besides, it suited the situation at the time.

Some people think she is the Doctor's mother, wife or even Susan, others say Donna or Rose.

I wanted to laugh at Captain Jack and Alonso, but I am still irritated at how Russel T Davies handled Torchwood and Ianto. It would have had to have been a LONG time since that happened for Jack to be up to flirting. Then again, it's Jack!

  • Why dont they get someone older witha bit of presence, instead of an unworthy cad. I think he'll balls the whole show up.

  • They did have in cast the doctor who is now on stargate U. which i thought would have been a great new Doctor for the who world.. but, sadly he went with stargate... we can only hope matt can keep up with DT

  • You haven't even given him a chance yet. You never know what he will be like.
