  • From Holland : I like your Vids! I have the Beretta to. Greetz. Martijn .

  • The trick is to separate the holding steady from the taking the shot and eventually combining them, so try resting the gun after a couple of shots, you won't get that wobble, gradually build up over a few weeks to holding and shooting

three then rest, four then rest and so on, this way you can concentrate on the frontsight and trigger squeeze. Also get snap caps and practice dry firing. Good exercise is just holding out the gun without shooting, gradually increasing the time.

  • I tend to shoot left with my AK after 4 or 5 rounds, the thing really gets my heart rate up and I tend to get sloppy. Good shooting, for a 9mm the Beretta is heavy and large IMO for what it is; some folks love them though.

  • Trigger manipulation; Foresight.Trigger manipulation; Foresight.Trigger manipulation; Foresight. That's all. (although maybe a different gripped pistol would give you a better grip platform.

  • thing sounds like a canon!!!!!! O_O

  • nice... pretty gun too lol

    good post!

  • That looks like blue ridge in centreville.

  • Impetus or device?

  • @kluetenkloeter regarding what specifically?

  • @FateofDestinee: regarding the T1 compensator!

  • Don't fret! Keep shooting and muscle memory will set in. Hang tough!

  • @yeahryt74b It is taking a while, but I enjoy it so maybe it will get easier with time

  • the gun obviously had c4 in it...

  • @thadea haha, It really is loud, but i think it was amplified due the proximity of the wall.

  • Holy crap, the audio of the firing is insane!

  • @bigflytrap It really is loud, but i think it was amplified due the proximity of the wall.

  • zero your weapon first!

  • @hardman476 zero?

  • @FateofDestinee to zero ones weapon ie. to ajust / align your sights so that bullet impacts on a specific area of the target usually the x ring !

  • Friendly word of advise when shooting WWB (Winchester White Box) ammo. In the last 1000 rounds of that stuff I have used, I had 3 rounds go off without powder in the cartridge. The primer fire pushed the round into, but not out of my barrel, had I been rapid firing like you in the video my Glock would have blown to bits. So in other words be carefukl with WWB ammo.

  • @upsman522 Yeah, I will be. Thanks :]

  • Finally a video that actually gives good impression on how loud guns actually are. Most people (those that don't shoot much) are so used to hearing a muted sound from various media that they become surprised when they hear it like it is.

  • @celestialobserver Couldn't agree more. I've only shot at an outdoors range so hearing guns fired indoors makes a world of a difference.

  • @Tripp426 It really is loud, but i think it was amplified due the proximity of the wall.

  • @celestialobserver It really is loud, but i think it was amplified due the proximity of the wall.

  • The four People whoe disliked this have caligynephobia.

  • @iRockGlock I like this cute lovely beauty,BUT the shoot is depressive!

  • @gascanbad The shoot was pretty terrible, I agree. But that's ok :]

  • @iRockGlock Aww...the poor guys!

  • I guess folks really don't need to practice speed, just safety, accuracy, and safety; nothing about firearms is more important than safety.

Todd Jarrett is a guy who is really fast, but he says that what makes you fast is good technique, not speed.

  • @CelticSouthland My instructor is patient with me so I've been taking my time and concentrating on technique.

  • it looked like u were holding a little lose? cuz i shot a 357 and it kicked a little bit more and ik there much more powerful but anyway i liked ur video :)

  • @the357goesBANG I don't remember lol I've hit the range upwards of 50 times since this vid haha Thankfully, my aim has improved to. But hey, gotta start somewhere, right? I enjoy my .357 too. I really like shooting that in double action... I love Smith and Wesson.

  • You made a "s" lol nice

  • @svt283 Haha not intentionally.

  • Good job dusten that raghead!

  • @joey7928 Lol thanks.

  • All great shooters start out as someone who keeps range goals, keeps dry fire efforts when not at the range, focus on the front sight as a mantra, and develops muscle memory mentally at least. Zombies are controlled best by head shot. I prefer my Glock 19 with night sights and I think you might even shoot it better based upon its configuration. I can recommend it.

  • @tiggerr42431 Thanks for the advice and encouragement. I've made some great improvements with just those techniques since this video. And while I still shoot better with the Beretta (I love the grip and the heft) than with the Glock (I've fired the 17 and the 19), I am looking to add a G19 to my collection, eventually ;] Thanks for watching!

  • @jimkressin Thanks for watching.

  • hey im a HUGE fan of hickok45 and love you guys new video!!! yours too! keep them up! thanks :) need to add some glocks to your collection!

  • @aroccop I love hickok45, too! He and bigjohn88TN are great :] John has been trying to convince me to get a Glock... after firing his G19, I've been converted haha Thanks for watching.

  • @fateofdestinee did u take off the walnut grips????

  • @Pnutt5100 I did, but I still have them in the case :] I just don't prefer to shoot with them. They're too bulky and have no tooth (plus, I want to keep them pretty haha).

  • @FateofDestinee, after your first string of fire, you should have put the weapon on safe before pointing toward the ceiling and also you should keep the weapon on safe when chambering a round, I've seen several Negligent Discharges happen that way, don't need you getting hurt not many of the opposite sex make gun video's like this

  • @Shinigamiusmc You're right - I should have done just that. Since then, I'm very careful about how I have my gun angled while I eject a magazine. Thanks for the tip, and thanks for watching.

  • that there Beretta will turn into a whole different animal with about 300 rounds through it...the groups will tighten up and become deadly accurate.

  • @achigurh It has about 500 or so through it now and I totally see what you mean. I compared it to a couple other 9mms the last time I hit the range (about a week ago) and for whatever reason, I shot much better with the Beretta than with any other. I'm sure some of that has to do with the fact that I have the most practice with it lol But it was still an interesting comparison... Thanks for watching :]

  • beautiful lady with a nice pistol. What else you can ask for? get yourself a snap cap and dry fire away, it will help you with trigger control. Remember firm grip, focus on the front sight, squeeze the trigger SMOOTHLY to the back with consistent pressure and follow through.

  • @ryanvy Well thank you. :] You know, my shooting instructor and my dad both gave me that same piece of advice, so it must be a good one lol I need to post a new range vid of these so I can show how much I've improved with all the great tips I've received since recording this :D Thanks for watching, and for the words of advice.

  • I'd like to see more videos like this at the range, you shoot better than most of the guys.

  • @semiautoriflelover Thank you! I hit the range at least twice a month, so I'll be sure and include some more range vids for ya.

  • Your vids are great! How about one with you in a bikini :) Keep the vids coming!

  • @paulpm lol... thanks for watching ;]

  • Great video, the Beretta M9 is a fine weapon, I did a review on mine, not to long ago.

  • @CitizensSoldiers Cool! I'm very happy with mine :] Thanks for watching!

  • you know the 9mm round is for the homos LOLOLOL

  • @TMHonfire102 but shes a lady

  • @derekgrebner87 thanks, Tex :]

  • @TMHonfire102 Dude, it's cheaper for me to shoot than the .45... and I am broke. lol :p I much prefer larger caliber, though.

  • @FateofDestinee I've owned a .45 for 12 years but I had to buy a 9mm glock because I couldn't afford to fire the 1911 200 rounds every range trip.

  • That better not be Winchester white box!

  • @panzerkilla I don't believe it is, no. :]

  • Does your Beretta use the white dot front site and the white square rear site like the original M9 of 1985? Or does it use the "3 white dots site system? RE: your shooting- apply ORLY Nail Lacquer "Orange Punch" onto the front site dot. Have slide off frame, hold vertically, & apply a droplets w/ a toothpick, until the dot recess is filled. You will find your eye being drawn to the bright orange front site. If you don't like it use NON-Acetone Nail polish remover. OPI Alpine Snow for rear site

  • @IWANTALEXUS It does have that style sights. It took me a little getting used to because the .45s I love to shoot have the 3 dot. Thanks for the tip - I did something very similar to what you described to the sights of my Ruger Mark III. Thanks for watching ;D

  • One sort of optional tip for you. The M9/92FS has a pretty wide grip because of the dual stack magazine. So big that it's even uncomfortable for some guys. Some people find it useful to put their non-dominant index finger on the serrations in front of the trigger guard to stabilize it a bit better. Some hardcore pistol competition shooters might sneer, but I am a pragmatist. So whatever works for you best IS the best way.

BTW I've heard those serrations are officially for shooting from cover.

  • @ssdwellah That's just how I fire best, with my non-dominant hand on the outer trigger guard checkering. I feel it helps me to stabilize my grip well. I agree with you. I don't feel that there is a "right" way to shoot. As long as you're shooting safely and what you do works for you, then there isn't a "better" way, only different options. It's a very unique experience from shooter to shooter. But I don't shoot for competition.

  • Good call on the Beretta 9mm mags, they are harder to load than anything else I have. But practice makes perfect! :)

  • @ssdwellah I've fired 9mm weapons of a couple of different models and magazines, but this one has thus far been the most beastly to load haha After putting one or two magazines through, though, it gets easier. That, or maybe I'm just getting used to it. :]

  • I bought this gun about a month ago. Now it is on hold because, "either you or another individual with a similar name and/or similar descriptive features has been matched with the following federally prohibitive criteria..... blah, blah, blah." So now I am waiting for NICS to compare my fingerprints to this other person. Then maybe someday I can shoot at zombie terrorists! :) In the meantime though. I sit here dreaming of the day and watch other people have fun. Haha!

  • @wmd44110 Ah man, that bites! We need more people fighting the war against zombie terrorism! lol I'm planning on posting more vids on it. Hope you get your M9 soon!

  • @FateofDestinee I hope it is more videos with shooting! Too many people want to play show and tell. :P

  • @wmd44110 As a matter of fact, it is! :D I want to do a range video with my new Hogue grips to see how much they help. Any excuse to bring me down to the range is a good one, you know? lol

  • @FateofDestinee Nice! I am looking forward to it! I also find any excuse to go to the range! I keep hoping that someday I will find a range that will let me shoot oranges and watermelons. When that day comes, I will have a tent, and a pot of coffee at the range. :)

  • @wmd44110 ...I lol'd at that.

  • @wmd44110 Check your state parks for gun ranges. Ga has quite a few and they dont seem to mind as long as u clen up after yourselves. Also they are 5 dollars for a car load, cant beat it.

  • @gatorfred8 I will have to check that out. Thanks!

  • @FateofDestinee Meanwhile... 2 months later, I got approved!

  • i am not sure what it is about the beretta, i have a 92fs but in my opinion it has a kinda a learning curve to it, but once u get where to hold the sights on target and the DA/SA transition it is one of the most fun guns to shoot, personnally i was not to crazy about mine at first but now i love taking it to the range just as much as my SIG or HK.

  • @donovanx85 Yeah, the sights on this M9 are way different than on anything else I've ever shot. I'm not yet used to them. I haven't gotten the feel for it, yet, but I am still very pleased with the purchase.

  • Great Shooting. Love the sound. And your right. Everyone starts somewhere.

  • @KalashnikovBoy94 Yeah, that BANG really hammers that idea home that you're not dealing with a toy. I dig that.

  • you should play connect the dots with the shots :P

  • @BlankJebus *facepalm* lol Ramón...

  • Holy crap Dest. SUCH a nice gun. I was like ".......SOUNDS AWESOME!" Also, good shooting :>

  • @MrEvodeath Lol Thanks, Joey. I enjoy it. It's also fun AND cheap to shoot! Double win.

  • Nice vid, enjoyed it! Also lucky you are allowed to use a cam in the range. The public ranges here do not allow any vid recording or cells inside the range. After an incident at the machine gun show here, gun ranges all around re-evaluated policy. Keep up the good work!

  • Good shooting and awesome attitude !!

I like how large your range is.

Remember when the air circulation is on at those indoor ranges and the targets are on cables like that, you'll never really get groups as tight as you could on a target that isn't moving

You can see the targets bouncing a bit in the videos, further out you go the more it's going to mess with you

  • @GunWebsites Good point...I hadn't thought about the air circulation moving the targets around a bit. Thanks!

  • Yeah, it's pretty sweet, in my opinion ;D I'm not used to the sights on that bugger at all, though. Very different for me. I was shooting 115gr Lugers through it today. And thanks all around! (I love that hat - plus, it's always cold in that range haha)

  • Sounded like a cannon!! LOL! Very good shooting they all hit the target that's what matters! Love the doo rag. Great vid!

  • @Mr45Bullitt Thanks :] It was a lot of fun to shoot. I can't wait to take it out again. I want to get better at getting tighter groups.

  • LoL hahahahaha, awesome attitude, you're only gonna get better. I dont like them personally but I highly recommend a set of Houge grips for that thaing. I think you will benefit greatly from them.....what grain 9mm were you shooting?

  • @a45sArtwork what a great recommendation!!

  • That thing is a beast...you sure its only a 9mm? lol...practice makes perfect keep it up!
