i watch this movie all the time it is beautiuflly done and it makes you cheer and cry. you fall in love with ioans version of willian wilberforce. so peaceful and strong at the same time and the woman that protrays barabra spooner is inscridible keeping wilberforces spirits high when all seemed doomed. a sotry that will bring you to tears and make you desperately wish that we had people that were this motivated, peaceful, compassionate, thoughtful and inspiring in the government today.
This was an amazing movie. I cried probably more than once. Why don't we have men like William Wilberforce in power today, who will stand up for what they believe and not be so politically correct all the time? I just hate that!
@jennybakalov Wilberforce was moved because of his life-changing encounter and walk with the God of Chrsitianity. That gave Wilberforce the courage and determination to keep fighting. Men in power these days have never had that type of experience or relationship, therefore their motivation is only skin-deep and give up too easily.
