Y'know, I've actually been meaning to do that, just to see if it'd be better for me as a main cube. I just haven't gotten around to ordering one. I've only recently been focusing on improving my speed.
Dude... it's YouTube... look it up! I don't mean to be snarky and I do respect the question, but there's about a million "how to solve a Rubik's Cube" vids here, give or take a few hundred.
Here's one pointer for ya. Don't try solving it a face at a time. Lots of people try to do that and it's very inefficient and a waste of time. Solve it a layer at a time.
In other words, designate a top and a bottom. Then work on the bottom layer (the 4 edge pieces and 4 corner pieces). Then place the middle layer edges (four edge pieces). Then all you have left is the top layer of the cube to work on. Watch a video very closely of someone solving a cube, and you'll get the general idea.
Yeah, most people think that. Really though, as with most things, I started off small and then worked my way up. With puzzles like these, you realize some common denominators.

Glad you enjoyed it!
I haven't officially timed myself on the 7x7, but I think I can do it in around 20 minutes if I focus myself. I don't practice enough!
chrisw357 3 years ago
wow not bad, yeah im sure you can make it faster, if you did spend more time on it =))
