I love MGMT.

All talented artists move on. They kind of perfected that instantaneous pop rush sound with Kids and Time to Pretend, so they need to try something a bit different.

Dan Treacy's Television Personalities are a legendary band and well worth checking out if you don't know them- they did a beautiful song called Diary of a Young Man, on the album ...And Don't The Kids Just Love It.

I will admit though, I don't like it as much as anything off of Oracular Spectacular, which is actually my favorite album.

I mean every song on it is like, perfect. And all these songs are... well, really good, but not like fuckin' Weekend Wars or Kids, which I think are ridiculously amazing on so many levels.

I just hope they make some more songs like that, not necessarily that particular style, but like, that... good.

Theyre genius I've only heard four new songs and I'll admit that I'm skeptical. But the more I listen to the songs the more I like it. That's the way it was when MGMT was new to me; when I first heard Oracular Spectacular, every song took some time to grow on me. So lets all chill out, these kid's will be around for years, its not like all the fans are gonna die if their second album isn't perfect. Plus I like when people change shit uppp. Being versatile is goood. Keep it psychedelic, for sure.
