This is such a great interview, I love how committed he is to the message of this album. It will be interesting to see where he goes with his next album after getting rid of the introspective nature of his previous albums in favor of a look at the outside world, and if he retains his new belief about writers block the next release will come in a much shorter period of time then is usual for NIN. Hopefully that will be the case.
History repeats itself Dear. Welcome to the evil necessity of government. Knowledge is power, if you care, take it back all of you that read and listen.
The first time I listened to Year Zero I didn't like it at all, but the more I started to listened to it, the more I liked it. And now I agree with 666Nukes, it's even better than The Downward Spiral.
I love his process of making an almum. every time I hear him talk, I can really identify. BTW I dont think he was cranky at all, just trying to make a point.
I think reznor is the most level headed singer compared to everyone. he says what he thinks and he doesnt just make songs that are shit like most bands these days he actually makes them with his heart.
what i like about him telling about his doubts of year zero is the consistency. I've heard him talk about that same thing before in other interviews and such, and it gives him a more human, believable side, you know? like, this is an ACTUAL PERSON, not just a god. =]' thats really cool to me.
Sorry! I accidentally marked your post as spam, SpikedViciousSiren...my bad haha.
But The usb thing reminds me of the David Blaine Youtube Edition videos that are out there right now: "Wait 'til they get home and find out what's in their asses..."

I love how he sounds so uninterested but when he starts talking about the album you can tell how passionate he is about it.

Trent Reznor reminds me of a family friend, Louie. He has a voice that makes me sleepy.

Personally I think every one of his records is better then his last... Just his constant originality grants great respect with me.
