Well, the best parts of Eclipse IMO is the opening scene where Riley is turned into a vampire and the music in the fight scene training (With You in My Head). BEST song in the entire Twilight saga movies so far

After literally being dragged to the theater to see the first one, I never plan on seeing any of the other movies, but I love watching/reading the reviews because I have yet to find one with all positive comments.
Got to love the two guys fighting because one kissed the girl. You can see it was written by a woman. Men don't fight each other, they go against the girl. It's women that fight each other over someone.
When Jacob and Fagward were fighting and Charlie comes out and says "What's happening?", I seriously thought that Jacob would say something a bit more dramatic than "I kissed Bella."
I loved this movie and I can't wait for Breaking Dawn: the movie. The movies seem to be getting better and better, but they'll never surpass the books. :)

@Mazmorrero2 it's called comic relief. Movies use those moments to briefly navigate the audience away from the serious-ness of the plot, only to jump back into the "drama". It's a brilliant and affective effect. For you to say Iron Man 2 deserves a spot in the section for best musical or comedy just shows how little you know about film.... well that and the fact you don't know what comic relief is
@JamesLamon Ok, you got a point, the movie isn't a drama neither a comedy, it's an adventure film. But in the HFPA criteria, it would be much closer to comedy than it is to drama. For example, The Tourist isn't precisely a comedy either and it is now nominated to Best Comedy Film (idiotic as well).

As far as the books go...Eclipse is as close to the books as it gets. However, the relationships, character developement, and even the personalities of the characters are just....fake or better yet unrealistic. Bella, is a weak character getting tossed around seemingly by the other characters. Edward has the demeanor of Bella just he's immortal and invulnerable. I like jacob and im a guy because he's the only realistic character of the bunch.

Robert Pattinson has to act like he's in pain. How would you feel if your love is in great danger or when your reason for existing is also in love with anther guy. Did you actually read the book? @sfie1993 "Love is in great danger" I'm sorry, but the epic Mary Sue characters in this film AND book really don't make that statement believable enough, maybe if they were portrayed/written better, but their written like a fan-fiction obsessed 11 year old.
Also, this is a MOVIE. If the general audience cant understand/enjoy it without reading the book, then its written badly. The movie "Catwoman" had even the main actress admitting it was terrible, but the original character was genius.

This is so not true, people have to know what they are talking about when they open their mouth. First of all, Bella knows exactly what she wants. Sometimes it looks like she doesn't know what to do, but she does know. She is actually described as a person who doesn't change her mind alot. And then you all say she has to make WEAK decisions, but she has to choose between being a human and being a vampire, I think that's a major decision and I think it's good she really stands behind her opinion.

There's only one word befit of this franchise: "painfull" - because you kinda feel pain when you hear Bella's twitching, Edward's moaning and Jacob's obsessive nagging (he's got more "realistic" problems than the other characters, but damn what annoying problems!)

As far as the books go...Eclipse is as close to the books as it gets. However, the relationships, character developement, and even the personalities of the characters are just....fake or better yet unrealistic. Bella, is a weak character getting tossed around seemingly by the other characters. Edward has the demeanor of Bella just he's immortal and invulnerable. I like jacob and im a guy because he's the only realistic character of the bunch.

I loooved this movie. :) I am honestly not the biggest twi fan. But WOW, David Slade really pulled it off! :D
And I've gotten over K-Stew's not-so-good acting, because that's what Bella IS. On Kristen's part, she's doing an excellent job. Bella is a completely blank slate as I describe her. (no offense to S. Meyer)
A movie needs to have a strong female role model! Not some weak, wussy girl that has to be protected... (Bella)
But the movie itself was definitely great. :) The best so far.

just watched it this weekend and i gotta admit that i'm not a twilight fan at all but the action scenes & the occasional funny parts are quite gd.
but other than that, the film is kiinda boring to be honest, i nearly fell asleep in the first half of the film XD
