  • 2:30 the running man dance....chris ur a boss...no ...ur a god!!!

  • can hear the BASS enough.

  • if those bass drums were civics, it would have a lot of hps.

  • @jcshred91 Only if there were a lot of red and yellow stickers on the front heads... and NOS, lots of NOS.

  • Too bad you can't pick up the bass, especially the 1:28 area. One of my fav double kicks from LOG.

  • 1:55 Epic twirl lol

  • Nice recording and performance! Thanks for the upload!

  • @brunostolosa Thanks for the kind words man. \m/

  • Awesome drummer,Awesome band.L.O.G forever

  • epic beard is epic

  • ok his cymbals are tight on the inside and looser up top

  • i still dont know how he makes that kick drum purr

  • snare sounds like a 2 by 4 being hit against a barrel

  • @TutaWookyDrummer Yeah, the camera didn't get good sound.

  • @quikstang2 i actually think the snare sounds quite sicknasty. and the camera is primo qualityas well. definitely watching all of these in a row. this is like the 5th of hoever many there are

  • @ipooponface Thanks, glad you enjoyed them.

  • @ipooponface yea it sounds nice - just imagine live his kits beast

  • @RedneckChexMix i'll allways remember the kickdrum sound from the soundchek when they played here in berlin. it literally blew me away :D

  • @svelle37 yea i saw em live in norfolk virginia - live they are accurate performers and have good sound quality - i like adlers bass drum too man - but two things are my favorite - his snare (sounds like a pistol - tight and loud snare) and his china/crash - he uses during heavy parts/breakdowns - it sounds like the ocean dude its sick.

  • @quikstang2 Dude, on all these vids of chris at this clinic, how mad are you that on almost if not every video, someones complaining about the snare sound?

  • @jakubrox19 Not mad really. It's kinda annoying though. I mentioned in the description it was recorded with a point and click camera, so it should be common sense that most of it is going to sound bad. There's not really a need to comment on the sound.

  • @TutaWookyDrummer hahahahahaha

  • Don't complain about the base. It'd be nicer if I could hear it but to be honest I watch the videos so I can see how fast the man moves, I know what all the friggin songs sound like.

  • Anybody can play this with triggers but without them it´s much more challenging. Especialy the foot work from 0:27 - 0:48. Check out my cover of Reclamation from Wrath if you like :)

  • @3triska3 Oh for god sake, why are people so ignorant. Triggers don't make you play any better, just more easily heard...

  • triggers are for quitters

  • absolute destroyer.

  • Cant hear the bass drum

  • @davis311c That's why I put in the description that it was taken with a point-and-click camera.

  • that fast with no triggers, not okay

  • @sailorslax35 Roddy disagrees.

  • fucking beast

  • 1:55 EPIC SWING :D

  • 1:11 - 1:13 if i was chris and i lost my beat, i'll slap that two dudes !

  • damn awesome ;)

  • Theyre also called quad pairs

  • Did anyone else sing the lyrics?

  • How I wish I'd have been there...

But anyhow, thanks so fucking much for uploading all theese videos!

  • my most favorite drummer!!!

  • For everyone who is wondering, the fill starting at 0:49 is called a linear fill. Doubles over doubles. Two on the hands, two on the feet, played in groups of four. Very common fill that Chris (and many other metal drummers) use.

  • @SpartanCarver Good tip. Unlike most other drummers, Chris will often play this while leading with his left hand, because he's left handed. You can see it in the videos, and you can hear it in respect with how his gear is placed.

  • @quikstang2 : Yup. The advantage of being a left handed drummer on a right handed kit.

  • @SpartanCarver any right handed drummer can do it... :P on a left handed kit. haaahaa..

  • @Sc0ttPrian Yeah, I guess the secret to playing like Chris Adler is to play on a kit the opposite way round xD

  • @SpartanCarver What is filled called like the sick one from ruin where he does doubles over triples (double hands and triples with his feet)

  • Comment removed

  • That is also a linear fill. Any fill with interplay between the hands and feet is linear.

  • @SpartanCarver oke thx. but how many types of fills are there actually and where do you get this information from. I'd like to learn more about the instrument I play ;)

  • @tommyXBOX360 : Pretty much just surfing online and posting on drum forums. I'm a self taught drummer, the internet makes that very easy.

  • @SpartanCarver Hey me too, never took a drum lesson. It's indeed not necessary with the amount of usefull information that is available on the internet. Do you play with double base, and if you do, what do you find the best setting for the springs, the footboard position, the beaters and every other variable for fast playing? With my former peddals I could play all the fast double base stuff, but I fail horribly with my new paddels, because of the settings,

  • @tommyXBOX360: Footboards low, medium spring tension, high tension in the bass drum head, beaters about 4-5 inches from the drum head.

  • @SpartanCarver Thx :D! I will try this setting out, but can you explain the difference betwee low tension vs high and between the beater set far from the basehead vs close, and how those two combined effect how you play the double base?

  • @SpartanCarver Or quadruples in other words? Never knew the proper terminology...

  • @SpartanCarver I call it the shuffle haha

  • @SpartanCarver but really fast

  • Turn the bass up!

  • This guy have such an talent. his aslo one of my favorite drummers! :D

  • 1:54

I would drop the stick every time trying to do something like that!

  • It kinda upsets me that in this video @ 0:49 he plays doubles over doubles but on the album recording he plays doubles over like 36ths notes or something on the double bass, it makes me think he cant play his own songs almost... : ( and that bothers me cuz i am a huge adler fan

  • @TheMetalkid13 He changes things up during live performances.

  • @TheMetalkid13 I think it is doubles over doubles on the record because that is the fill that everyone uses to make it seem like they are moving really fast, but in reality they are only playing the same notes over and over again at a fast pace. I could be wrong, but I think it's what you have in mind and how you interpret it when you listen to it. =]

  • @TheMetalkid13 ITs doubles over doubles. Im pretty sure of it.

  • @TheMetalkid13

ummm do you mean 32nd notes?....if you don't know the correct terms, are your sure you know what your talking about? everytime i listen to the album version of this song, I only hear power 4's / quads. If I'm wrong I'll admit it straight away, but I don't think that there is a time sig of "36th" notes

  • @rickyjames0 it can be done, but most usually it isnt just because 32nd notes are such a bitch to count, and you can always double the bpm and decrease the value of the note

  • What a pity that the bass drum is so low

  • 1:11 hahaha i love that "wooooohh"

  • i like his old kit better. =p but he plays the shit outta this 1 haha.

  • i would sell my soul, to have this kit and be able to play like he does

  • niiiiiice, i agree you are lucky!!!!

  • I love this. i watched all your videos from this clinic. i wish i could've seen him. lucky!

  • @iosdrummer10 I'm just lucky that I live near a great drum shop that loves putting on great clinics.

  • @iosdrummer10 I watchecd all to lamb of god is life \m/(*.*)\m/
