He was shot and then a few yrs ago he had a stroke! I'm personally proud of him. He is someone to look up to and not finish his sentences... I'd rather hear him articulate the words.

Because larry is playing in a wheel chair, he can't bend forward far enough to look at his cards. It allows him to look at his hole cards without the others looking at them. He has to have them because of how he has to sit at the table

He's wrong about hold 'em, though. Even limit hold 'em, the biggest decision is before the flop, yes, but after the flop the game gets interesting. Kind of like 7-stud, the game gets interesting after 4th and 5th street, if anything the beginning stages of the hands are mechanical.
