This movie is available on DVD for 8.00 on ioffer.com. I bought a copy from one of the sellers a couple months ago. It's a VHS-DVD transfer but still decent quality.
@thisisbabylon The ones in the black suits? They're The Untouchables, a Mod/ska/soul band from LA who also appeared in 'Repo Man' (and still play shows as of 2010). The song is called "Dancebeat", but I don't think it exists anywhere else outside this movie.
hey bro you gotta check out the site UP ALL NIGHT VIDEOS, thats how i found you on here ! its a huge list of really rare unpopular but cool 80s vids like this one.
I just know I have this movie down in my mom's basement on VHS taped from HBO or Showtime or something! Brought back the memory when I was looking up the guy who played Holden in Blade Runner - he's one of the surfer's Dads in this movie.
I loved this movie. Yeah it's stupid. Epically, radically, awesomely stupid. Love it, love it, love it!
Right on! Saw this movie when it came out and out of the haze that was my life in the 80's, this movie some how stayed with me. This and "Neighbors" - John Belushi/Dan Ackroyd and the epically sexy Cathy Moriarty. Can't find that movie anywhere either.
we should start some type of forum for fans who like these sort of movies and maybe influence indy movie makers to create these type of things over again. the emphasis should be on great storyline, great charactors, lots of nudity, etc.
we should try to get some type of new internet tv/video site to host the movies.
Isn't inspector underware the guy who played Horshack in Welcome Back Kotter? Gotta love it. The only other overlooked masterpiece that needs to be uploaded now is "Day of the Wolves" and my life will be complete...
omg!!! i randomly thought about this movie the other day,... now i am 30 n the last time i thought about this movie was when i was like 6 and my grandparents had it on . they operated a movie rental business back in the early 80s in their porch (my town was like 500 people and kinda isolated). movies like this, meatballs, and some other golden oldies on beta.. and chuck norris as well!
i have to agree with the crowd here. been thinkin of this flik for 25 yrs evers since i watched it 30 times in one month on HBO. rented it on VHS too. great movie poster. DVD edition is a MUST! fuckin a man. never forget....lol
You, sir, have done us all a public service by making this available. I'm also one of those idiots who attempted to see it in theaters, but had to settle for late-night cable re-runs. How I WISH this would come on DVD!
He dos'nt really act anymore. He mostly works in producing game shows, and stuff like that. I don't see him that much, since we live in seperate states, but when he comes to visit, it's funny, because he's really tall :P

Your uncle is Peter Isacksen? Awesome! He's like, the funniest character in the film. Is he still around, still acting, if you don't mind my asking?

Surf II! Way Bitchen, dude. Hate to say it, but I paid cash to see this in the theater in 1984. A superb trash-terpiece...
