  • Fantastic!!!

  • totally one of the greatest groups ever to grace a stage, times are gone will never be forgotten, Stevie Nicks is one of the greatest talents ever.. thank u for so many years of excellence stevie the dustman

  • Too bad the audio/video quality sucks so bad. That's really annoying.

  • does anybody know...is the the budokan concert...1977?

  • I dont even care if she was on drugs i love this era when they did perform on drugs it was always great and it makes me wish i was there

  • MORE COWBELL. love Stevie. just SAYIN

  • I think it's funny how people think they know Stevie!

You only know what she tells you, so stop talking like you know her, because you don't. This drug shit is getting old!

  • I like to put matchsticks in my pee-hole.

  • Great vintage video......love it!

  • stevie is so fiinnee back in the day....fuk i was born in the wrong era

  • for me this the best version of GDW where its almost like the Dead are jammin

  • Stevie is the goddess of rock...

  • She wasn't tired. She was so coked up she didn't know what to do. I loved them in those days. Can't you see that?

  • i love her just awsome

  • i remember listening to this song over and over on my dads rumours 8track! i now have the cd. this song was where i fell in love with stevie nicks

  • GOOD SONG..

  • Mick is on FIRE here! Wow!!! Can't keep my eyes off him.

  • john is a monster!!! listen to this guy...

  • I wish Stevie hadn't puffed out her hair like that during this week in Japan in December 1977. I bet she kept it puffed out for the few shows they played in Hawaii after this. Luckily, by the following late winter/early spring, her hair was back to being beautiful again (with Todd Rundgren at the Roxy).

  • Saw them first in mid 70's at the Capital Center in MD. She was so wild! she used a Shawl and would dance with it running around the back of the stage to the front! I remember me & my BF Debbi thought we could fly down to the stage to join her. 1978. Purple micro. does that to you! Awesome concert! Bob Welch opened for them! It was the BEST concert I ever saw!

  • @LADYJUSTICE50 That very concert (Capital Centre 1978) is on YouTube!

  • Stevie rocks, soooo amazing and beautiful!

  • love love HER

  • she had lost someone very dear to her...and tried to drown the pain and try to keep her mind on the music...anyone who's lost a loved one and had to deal with the soul-searing pain that comes with it, uses whatever tools are available to them...whatever helps keep you sane for the moment...

She was a remarkable woman with a very loving heart...she did what she had to do... and made it through...

  • miss these days, love fleetwood mac, hyenajack is so right, so many new performers trying to outdo each other in outrageousness and nakedness is not sexy at all, it's just obnoxious. the in your face atitude that misses the mark is usually covering a lack of talent. these were gentler times. i'm not old and i'm no prude but taste is tase and stevie always kept her dignity while roaring with talent and beauty, drugs or no drugs.

  • @marlee0411 nicely stated

  • If she was exhausted and drained then this is all the more impressive...

  • sucks

  • I couldn't remember why, as a teenager, I had such a big crush on her ...Now I remember why. God bless Rock stars!

  • @hyenajack You said it best....she was and still is a Rock Star. Classy and elegant. She could teach some of our younger performers a thing or two. She may have been on drugs, but she always looked beautiful and was always a lady. A good example that you don't have to appear almost naked to be in the spot light. Dang, I sound old! hahaha

  • OH STEVIE BABY HIT ME HIT ME

  • this is the most enchanting, mysteriously awesome song.....

  • More cowbell.

  • Who cares if they are all high! That was the nature of rock-n-roll in the 70s and 80s. I'm not so sure this is the Rumors tour, though!

  • @weirdowaldo

It has to be the Rumours tour, Lindsey still has the fro and the beard! LOL!

  • well she doesn't remember this night

  • eerrrrr, ever thought that drugs actually helped the music. No you never have, that is is because you are musically hopeless and haven't ever taken drugs. Shame. At least Stevie and co worked hard on experiencing the world and its joys/pains while making beautiful music. ps. Humans have used coca for thousands of years. Grow up.

  • This looks like somebody doing heroin not coke but who knows...

  • Great to see her soooo off her face! Nice to see someone being able to walk and chew gum.

  • without drugs you'd be listening to nothing but "how great thou art" and shit like the fucking bay city rollers.

  • @ValerieBarlow Fucking AMEN!!!

  • yeah she is totally wasted, but this is a great performance.

  • Very true.

  • Its heartbreaking to see her so wasted.

  • Christine McV wrote half the tracks on that famous LP rumours

  • Comment removed

  • @ duxberry1958 - no, nicks and mcvie each wrote the lyrics for 4 songs on that LP. nicks would have had 5, if they hadn't cut silver springs at the last second. buckingham had 3 tracks.

  • Also, Stevie Nicks is spectacular.

  • This is PURE Stevie.... One of her most powerful performances.... Like "Sorcerer" and the "Black Ink Darkness". She almost foreshadowing her descent into the 'shadow of a dragon' and the 'gold dust' that almost come to claim her life... But also questioning if lindsey would sell his 'kingdom' (fame) to be with her, or 'pick up the pieces and go home' ... Powerful stuff... I LOVE STEVIE!!!!

  • When you think about the fact that record companys actually budgeted coke into the recording costs of an album. its a wonder they could make such great music. Wonder what they could have accomplished without drugs :(

  • R U SERIOUS...WOW I DIDNT KNOW THAT

  • Comment removed

  • The song is about Nick's "love" of cocaine. It doesn make you wonder what the band was hopped up on during their set.

  • This is the better version of this song from the same recording, because it doesn't have the Japan travelogue footage, that was really unnecessary.

  • Where's the cowbell?

  • Best. Hippie. Freakout Song Ever.

  • Stevie is like a female Robert Plant

fck the whole band is like Led Zep

Mike is like Bonzo's twin with his mouth gaping and talking.

    Linsay guitar brilliance......Page

    and an annonimous basist....JPJ

  • @RIPPERTON

You forgot about Christine McVie (which frankly I just can't understand)

    MiCk Fleetwood is his name

    John Paul Jones was great

    And it's spelled anonymous

    fin

  • Ancient Queen...how ironic that she did not know at the time she was talking about herself. I believe that she did not, she now becomes that Gold Dust Woman.

  • I have always been of the thought that she did know. That's why the song was always delivered with such feeling. She knew who she was but maybe felt trapped by it all?

Either way, you may be right,it is an excellent song.

  • What a beautiful voice!

  • Has there ever been a prettier cokehead then Stevie?

  • Not in YOUR lifetime!!! Envy all you want!!! ;-)

  • this version beats the 2008 DVD by Stevie

  • wow she looks bombed , sounds good though

  • Wow... If you ever doubted how much cocaine played a role in creating this band and it's sound.... This should be proof positive for you. Like so many bands of this day, drugs created the sound, and drugs tore them apart...

  • that's why i fucking love stevie nicks.

  • does anyone know where this was?

  • Somewhere in Japan during the Rumors tour.I'm 100% sure of that, but that's all I know.I'm trying to find a DVD,or whatever, of the entire show.If ya find anything more please let me know.I'll do likewise

  • I believe this was a Dec '77 show in Japan (Osaka). This is the earliest filmed performance of GDW that I know of...yeah, she looks blitzed, but it fits the subject matter of the song! I think this is an amazing version; the first and still the best. The band's instrumental performance is certainly the best, I love the long fadeout.

  • Yeah, Stevie looks about half crocked. Still, a great performance though. Awesome vocals.

  • i think this was during the time they were strung out.seriously.

  • Stevie is one of the most enchanting, mysterious, intoxicating vocalists there has ever been.

  • VERY COOL!! They don't write songs like that anymore

  • Some of their best work was done, while they were high...

  • Margarita

Oh yeah, she's totally circling the airport on this one.

    And it needs MORE COWBELL!!!!

  • Hilarious!!!!!!

  • not only high but so much emotional turmoil it had to fuel some massive hits

  • OMG I Love Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. I Seen Stevie in 2007 in LA, Wish I Could Of Seeing The Mac When They Were Here

  • DAMMMMMM SHE IS SOOOOO HIGH

  • Mick isn't half fucked up either, but they are damn good, even in that condition.

  • she's fucking awesome!

  • she was high here wow still good

  • Yeah, they seem to be teetering on the edge in this one. But they've held it together and still do a very good show today.

  • she's totally high in this video...cocaine is a bad habit ...but stevie was so coragious to kick this habit in 1983...

    I love you

  • This is great! I have never seen this video before. foxygrl9, I have never seen Fleetwood Mac in concert (or any concert) but, I was just wanting to know was it as big of problem with Christine that others have stated? I plan to go to the concert next month in Dallas. I have been a Fleetwood Mac listener / fan since I was a little kid.

  • Just saw Fleetwood Mac on Saturday Night in New Jersey (was anybody there)?. They were awesome!! Did alot of songs from Rumors, Stevie did some of her songs from when she was tourig as a solo act.

  • love this song love stevie knicks and fleet wood mac as for the drummer he scares me but a good drummer

  • Even at 60, I'd still plow Stevie Nicks.

  • id bust a nut when she started singing, if she still sounds like she did back in the day. there touring again this year, fleetwood mac.

  • Yeah, they're coming to my city in May, planning to go see them....I may get kicked out for trying to hump Stevie's leg...lol.

  • lol - I love your straight and to the point style!

  • Stevie always said that her songs at times were like foreshadowing moments in her life... "Gold Dust Woman" and "Sorcerer" do that... Especially the "Gold Dust" that would come close to taking her life... And the "Black Ink Darkness" that she calles her wilderness period....Though eerie awesome gem of the era... Glad you're still here Stevie!!!!!

  • awsome stevie!! she's beautiful and she use to date lindsey b. she broke up with him and told him to go home.

  • This & Rhiannon from this concert are some of the eeriest (in a good way) performances. I think she's exhausted here among other things Coke would make her more up. I tihnk this is the concert following footage of her curling her hair, applying eye makeup and talking about how tired she was. She looks beautiful but if this is the end of Rumours tour w/all the touring, partying, emotional drama- I don't blame her for being tired. Her "tired" is better than half the awake acts out there today.

  • is that footage on youtube!?

    her hair is awesome!

  • @InTheStillness82 All that tiredness on this tour is what inspired 'Sisters of the Moon' ~ she looked at herself in the mirror, and felt the exhaustion was making her fade away, so made a pact with her 'mirror sister' that they would get through it...

  • @InTheStillness82 wow that is a nice analysis of her state. I am getting into the classics lately and eating up all my favorite artists like F.Mac. she looks awesome, just love her.

  • @InTheStillness82 You said it all!!!! Shes the best Rock-N-Roll chick EVER!!!!

  • I got the fever, and the prescription is MORE COWBELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • freaking awesome!

  • Mick makes funny ugly faces.

  • that was awsome!

  • More cowbell! :)

  • Hell's bell's yeah ;)

    TYSVM4P!

    Belles out brilliant version!

  • This is fantastic! Thank you.

  • God she's good!

  • Outstanding - thanks for posting

  • Awesome performance! Would love to have the whole show!

  • About wishing to hear the whole show, (would that it were so!),...... it really seems like right near the end (about 8:45), the drums-n-guitar rhythm is about to lead right into "Go Your Own Way" (the way it starts on the live 1980 album)and then fades........Thanks so much for posting great stuff!
