Verry cool now all you need is a delay pedal for the part where it goes fallin fallin fallin. Also is that a chorus pedal I am picking up to help with the brightness of the notes?
This is the only Correct Cover! All the Guitar tab sites have it in a higher pitch then what the recording sounds like. Capo 3rd. I try added my tab to Ultimateguitartab and they rejected it! Stupid! Mine is the same as urs just with a capo on the first Fret! (That's how Petty plays it)
I play it without the Capo to accommodate for my vocal range (or lack there of, in this case). As for the tabs that show the Capo on the 3rd fret and using the D/A formations, that isn't entirely incorrect either. Tom plays Capo 1 E, A, B and the lead guitar plays the D/A Capo 3 part. Together it sounds really nice. During a solo version the part Tom plays sounds better to me, but it really depends on your voice.

Thanks. It is an Ibanez AS73. They run about $300 currently. It looks, feels, and plays like something double or triple the cost. I love it. :)

E, A, B (power chord). That's it, hah. I keep saying it - Petty is a genius!
