Such a sad loss, but imagine if God did not give us Mr Henson, we would not be able to sit back and enjoy his fun filled episodes of the muppets. Thank you Mr Henson, I tip my hat to you kind sir.
jim died only three months after i was born. his creation, the muppets, were what made my childhood what it was. its still a big part of me. its sad that im just starting to learn about him. i can see what an amazing and talented man he was. i wish he was still alive so i can have the chance to tell him thank u for bringing so much smiles and laughter in my life. But what makes me smile is that he lives through his work. Rest in Peace Jim Henson
What would the world have been without , our funny sweet muppets Jim Henson and his great cast. Your right we can do without the pcs and playstations but not the love and compassion of the muppets
When I think the name Jim Henson, I think of a man who gave inanimate creatures to convince us that even things that are not organic can have emotions. But one fact remains that we know there was love in every Muppet Mr. Henson created.
What a great legacy you left for children all over the world. Thanks to the Henson family for allowing Jim to do what he so lovedand sharing his Gift with the world. We All Miss YOU Jim! R.I.P. :-D
@Mystagic I bought it off iTunes. I was originally looking for the version of Kermit singing it but I found this one and loved it. I think it was listed as the karaoke version of the song.
Jim Henson was such a brilliant and creative man. I loved all his Muppets and the life he gave them. I consider him the greatest puppeteer of all time, followed a close second by Frank Oz. It's no easy task to take something made of synthetic material and make it seem alive and real to millions of people. Jim and Frank are often imitated, often by talented puppeteers, but they will never be duplicated.
I grew up in a different country and was not familiar with all of the amazing things Jim has done ... But I intend to catch up - it is truly magical!!!!
It is weird that I found this song precisely during the week of Jim's 20th year-anniversary ... And strated searching for an instrumental. Now I can sing it to my little son together with "the lovers, the dreamers... and me!" : ) Thank you so much for posting it here,
@TheaterServant I agree. Mr. Henson passed Kermit down to Mr. Whitmire, who as a boy dreamed of performing Kermit. His dream came true and he does a good job at it too. Mr. Henson will always be Kermit and Mr. Whitmire is continuing the legend of Kermit.
@LovelyJudithBarsi I only put in pictures from Sesame Street, The Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock because those were three of my favorite shows when I was little, but he worked on lots of other great things too! Another favorite of mine was Labyrinth.
@LovelyJudithBarsi lol I've still got an episode on tape. My boyfriend actually still has the Muppet Christmas album with John Denver on vinyl. I was at his house on Christmas Even and I got a really cute picture of his little niece holding up the record. :)
@LovelyJudithBarsi I also added some of the characters from the South African version of Sesame Street. I wanted to add characters from other versions around the world but I was'nt able to find any. They appear 1:36 into the video...the little yellow one on the bottom left is Kami; the famous HIV positive muppet.

we can do without computers, ipods, iphones, Playstations
but what will happen if the world is without love, warmth, humor, laughter and love?
Jim Henson's contributions are invaluable.
YES! Mr. Henson does live on
I preferred his "inventions" over any high tech products
