@rrmert funnily enough man around that time it would have been early November 08. i was living in brisbane and i was outside my place of residence in Herston up on the hill behind the childrens hospital, it was bout 3 pm I saw a large spherical light in the sky moving real sus, i took a video and some photos on my phone but a few months later i went to show a mate of mine and the memory card it was saved on was locked, i never put a lock on it or knew how It still weirds me out to this day : /

Yeah, that's just about close enough for lightning, lol. Earlier this year I was standing in an open garage door and lightning totaled a sign on the building near me. Man is that loud. Anyway, I think the object you're referring to is an artifact of the bright light on the CCD chip.

Nice, that was a full on storm last week, I filmed a bit of the lightning to, I might take a closer look! I suspected there may have been some ufo action as there was so much lighning, and as the nasa film shows, they hang around storms.
