Actually, the music in the Nintendo Media Summit trailer, while the same as the older E3 trailer, was orchestrated. Nintendo has also confirmed that the core soundtrack will likewise be orchestrated, and it is being recorded probably as we speak.

Its so funny that if you search for "good music" you´ll end listening to some videogame music. Kondo is a master, no doubt, from Zelda to Mario he gives an additional value to nintendo videogames. I´m amazed with those arrangements and melodic phrasing with fitting harmony and mood. Hope they will keep taking care of their soundtracks in the future, they really make a difference.

Absolutely amazing. Kondo, in every videogame soundtrack, creates a masterpiece. Funny and latino flavours for the first Super Mario games, with some classical references. Folk and classical mix up toghether for Super Mario 64. Italian, French and hawaian music for a videogame sets in a world that mixes Venice with Sandwich Island: Super Mario Sunshine.

I only have 1 word, FANTASTIC, this music is so beautiful it is one of the factors that keeps me playing the game again and again. Miyamoto has made a great choice to bring Mario into full glory again after the Mario Sunshine, which was great, but I didn't like the music.

THIS is what they should've done for Twilight Princess. The soundtrack just adds SO much to a game and Nintendo seemed to have missed that point with their latest Zelda instalment. Hopefully they'll make up for it in the next 'Wii-tailored Zelda'.

Agreed, but TP was originally slated for the Game cube, perhaps the development was so far along expense for redeveloping the music would have set them back more. Im sure a Wii exclusive Zelda game will have a dedicated orchestra. Oh and not all music in SMG is Orchastrated, but a good majority is, usually for the remixed older tunes like in SMB3 in the bonus worlds.

Actually, it's not. there's only 3 songs in this game out of the new themes that are composed by Koji Kondo, The Comet Observetory, the one playing at the very end (you only get this ending by getting 120 stars), and of course, he also did Good Egg Galaxy.

I'm very impressed by Yokota´s (the guy who composed pretty much everything for the game) abilities. I hope we hear more of his music in the future nintendo titles. :D
