  • U did XMA?

  • americano acha que luta capoeira

  • grab your leg wtf? im superflexible but thats hard O_O

its funny to see vids where you are younger

by the way there are really often planes in your vids :D

  • just a little meek comment that anyone can choose to ignore, but the au batido actually has a snap to it. It's really similar to the l-kick, but while the l-kick is for evasion, the batido is more simultakeously used for evasion and a mid-level strike. But like I said. I am perfectly fine with this comment being ignored. ^_^

  • @buddycal1 =)

  • your cute

  • Thanx E! Loved the 540! Ima learn this (Positive!) buts it's heavy Trickset-ish bc as a martial artist we call it 'the worlds weakest &MOST IMpractical kick! No dis to you 2the tech

  • sorry to say this but the first thing i think of after seeing this is bboy moves like 'pike and handstand seven. aint a bad thing though.

  • i absolutely love those pants dude they rock as do you

  • that`s the only move i can do of your moves you explain in your tuorials ._.

  • at :15 the guy yells ''oh my'' it sounds like hes shouting at Epic

  • WHAT, Theres a plane in the way, and dont correct me, i know what i said...

  • I Can't Really Tell If I Got It Or Not... Is There Supposed To Be Any Particular Feeling To It How Am I Supposed To Know?

  • yo epic i need some help. my batido's are so crap i end up doing some weird front macaco or something. i think that i can't stop my momentum. any tips????

  • dude please tell me where you get those pants

  • Okay, i like this tutorial. I heard about the L kick and i didn't know what it was, but turns out i already knew how to do this. At my martail arts school we call this the malandro kick and do it in demos for competition.

  • 0:14 double rainbow guy sais oh wow!!!!!

  • WTF is Wrong With Those Airplanes ???

  • 0:22 lol i can do that 1st tiem i try, its like instinct... but when i try it another way i keep messing up T-T'' the martial arts way isnt very flashy... :S

  • does this have anything to do with flexibilty??:/ i keep getting it wrong

  • @dancerboy360 its more control than flexibility but flexibility can help TREMENDOUSLY.

  • :"im special like that" hahahha

  • @butterfly61103 i was such a cocky little shyt back then. =(((

  • @Epic1 hahahah ur not cocky now but ur still a little shit though hahaha love u

  • and this one :/

  • lawl "batido" in spanish means "milkshake" xP

  • @xic4loca my batido brings all the boys in the yard

  • @FormatxCwalk haha :P

  • again.. not 3 videos.. still the same pants.. lol.. are u making this videos in same times or.. You have a bath as well?.. sorry.. im bad in english..

  • It would be really cool if you could hold this kick, just kinda balancing there. I've gotta get my kick as clean as yours, then maybe I'll try holding it ;)

  • "cause im special like that"

  • i would like to see that move combined with the flare . like eddy gordo does in tekken

  • wats the diff between L kik and nikey?

  • cut ya hair like this again ^_^

  • i love to press the numbers 1,5,7

can you imagine it ? thumps up :)

  • somebody please help me. Every time i do Au batido my non kicking leg bends , like i am doing a jumping side kick. How do i prevent it from bending?

  • hey man are you brazilian??

  • isnt this a bboy move?

  • @Chaoyigon no its capoeira. breaking came from capoeira though so its similar.

  • Why do I find it much easier to use my left hand as the standing hand even though I'm right handed and my right arm is stronger?

  • 11 people got schooled in the roda with an Au Batido.

  • yeah yeah i can do this! it looks easy enough!

so just kick li- *falls* dam thats hard o.o

  • if u can get this move down u cud probably do a nike kick (b-boy move)

  • hey dude this is capoeiraa?

  • is it just me or did someone yell in the background at 0:15 ?

  • i always thought it was called an Al Potato...

  • "I'll do it both sides for you guys...cuz I'm special like that" LAUGH TRIP

  • amazing tutorial for the fact that you explain what the prerequisites for tricks are i think thats really important

  • kikk

  • LMAO When he does it at 0:17 a sarcastic "OH, WOW!"

  • as much as i find your videos cool...i dont think it should be called a tutorial. it's more of a demonstration cause who in the world would actually learn how to perform all your moves by just watching? anyhow....cool moves btw

  • Hey! Cheers for the tut! How can I get my leg further over? I can't seem to get it at that 90 degree angle! Would stretching help? If so what should I stretch?!

    Thanks! :D

  • lol now i can fight like eddie gordo from tekken

  • tu no haces break dance y eso es de break dance

  • @alecobitos10 hey do u see the name? "L kick"! that means that.......it's a kick !!!maybe you use that in break dance but u can't say that that movement belongs only to breakdance...so the point is that u shouldn't talk about something u don't know LOL!

  • I fractured my arm trying to do this. I'm still gonna try after it heals :)

  • lol i can do it both sides....because im special like that lol

  • I L-kicked the shit outta my friends head one day at school..was an accident but everybody didnt care, they just thought it looked sick lol

  • He looks like napolean dynamite. =P

  • This is one of my favorite moves in Capoeira!!!

  • i recorded myself doing that to identify any mistakes u know? but it still doesn't look right. when u do it, u make a pretty big stretch with the leg. does it help to have flexibility, like being able to do a split and stuff like that?

  • facepalm

  • Umm.. Are U left handed ? :D Sry for stupid question xD

  • how do you kick your leg so far back to your head like that? ( im tryin to do the breakdance version of this the nike freeze )

  • 1:28 for the people who speaks Spanish... does he says puta??

lol, great great video... now... g2g outside =3

  • @MOSKAR1 i think he said something like "throw it back" or something. besides i don't think he even speaks spanish.

  • @JoshOhen92 i knowww i was joking...

  • i see that the elbow you use to support your body is totally straight. this makes sense, but is there any risk of damage to the elbow?

  • We rock both entrances in capoeira. From handstand is used when you do a double L-kick - L-kick, up to handstand then another L-kick on the other side.

  • Is it possible to do this while holding a really short staff? Like a bo staff thats just a little shorter than you?

  • EPIC1 do you have to make the leg you grab straght or bended

  • "I'll do it both sides for you so you can learn it, since I'm... Special like that."

    LOL, yeah you are. xD

  • Your really pretty amazing at this stuff... What training have you had? Judging from the way you move you aren't a traditional acrobat, so maybe dancing? I'm not thinking martial arts from the diversity of your moves and your performance.

BTW, big fan, you help me alot. I'm attempting to perform fight choreography and these moves are really amazing for that kind of stuff. Your a big help to alot of people and its great that you put your time into this.

  • Haha listen To Them Kids Saying O M G! At 0:15

  • u shud play eddie from tekken

  • a high level of shoulder strength wouldnt really be needed to pull this off would it..

it's a quick move so most of it is technique right..?

  • Are there other moves this easy? Beside the masterswipe!

  • how come every video he makes, there's a background sound interfering!! lol

  • yo man props to u epic bruv ur tutorial on the lkick out of the countless ones helped me improve mine a question though how did u add variation to the kick and how do u do it with both hands im a leftie cant do it with right safe

  • were did u get ur pants from

  • how many cart wheels can u do

  • i do the second way n im 10 O.O

  • @XxOffTonexX Not EVERY kick has to connect with a target.... where is your common sense... if you're looking for an argument... find a better reason to argue because this is a move more for show... not for fighting.

  • @XxOffTonexX im sorry... but i think you just got told...

  • @Epic1 This move is commenly used in fighting for the skilled users of stuff u kids dont know about

  • @Epic1 haha that shut him up

  • @Epic1 I practice capoeira, I saw a guy doing that move during a roda and he kick the other guy´s back (they were looking each other). It can be used as a kick, but it is not easy to do it. :P

  • @Epic1 i read about an irish guy who was able to score points in kickboxing with this kick. practiced landing it on a bat pad and got better and better with it. so it can be used for fighting. just need to practice and get the right timing/ setup.

  • @XxOffTonexX LOL

  • @XxOffTonexX Most of the time in martial arts, especially in taekwondo, capoeira, etc, the kicks are usually only to show the skills of the practitioner. Rarely, unless your talking about more fighting based martial arts like kick boxing, will kicks be referred to as hitting a target or an opponent.

  • @XxOffTonexX AU Batido is mostly shown at Capoeira which is a dance. So beat it dude.

  • @DarkGhels capoeira is also a martial art

  • @Angelbikost Well of course. Thanks for reminding. xD

  • @DarkGhels ok

    have fun

  • Where do you hold your weight? Is it in the shoulder? the core?

  • @andgsterp i would gets it's in the core, but in the air there isn't really weight.... only gravity. ahahhah

  • great tutorial thanx bro

  • thx, before watching this vedio i couldnt pause my cartwheel.

u r a savior for martial art and dancer

  • easy said than done tho

  • omg I actually love you you have all the tutorials for tricks I couldn't find, I never knew the name of this!

  • you allways wear the same cloth

  • @shadoweangel11111 He made a lot of tutorials on one single day I suppose...

  • do u need lengthened leg volumes for this ?:D

  • "since i'm...special like that" lol

  • can someone give me any tips on how to overcome the far of doing this because every time I try I end up falling plz. great tutorial anyway!

  • learn a cartwheel.....

if you can do one it should be no problem....if yes then do a cartwheel and stop in the middle like a handstand. then lift your hand and kick down---

  • @mh123fgh jsut practice a normal handstand this should help u a little bit

  • @mh123fgh Try it from a handstand and don't even do a full handstand, let it have a bit of angle, so you won't turn over. When at the peek of that, turn your torso to the side, and swing your leg slightly over your head. First hold it for just a moment, then when You feel the stance comfortable, try to lenghten it to a freeze. And keep your supporting arm vertical, only Your torso should have that certain angle.

  • is that voise att 0:17 speaking to you

  • do you do capoeira

  • lol nice tut anoying plane....(harrier) however u guys call that english idk ( iam dutch...:) might try this move tmr2:)

  • dame nice straight legs man

  • Epic, what are some good stretches to do to loosen up for the L kick? I have trouble tweaking my body for it.

  • damn the only thing i can do is a B kick

  • i can't do a bkick :(

  • Hahahaha planes don't like u. XD

  • Those must be a hit at parties.

  • Can you do the splits?

  • your tuts are the best

  • There is not a correct air flair in capeira that i have ever been aware of or a head slide Any variation would not make sense for what the dance is designed for So there for it would have had to have come after the matter Especially since the dance was developed in the lower levels of a boat where the room would not allow space for such movement

  • sick tutorial

  • thanks this was a good tutorial :)

  • bboys didn't take air flares from gymnastics. its an original move. just like the head spin. Bboys also don't claim the K kick either, usually its done by jazz dancers or toys .. do your home work 2koolz4u

  • just some information, the air flare i'm pretty sure your referring to (i don't know much about Bboying) comes from capoeira, along with the head-spin and the head-slide.. they are from a capoeira game called banguela. [spelling?]

  • 101 evil Ur wrong the air flair originated from bboys as well as the continuous head spin and head slide I use to teach capoeira as well and i can tell you there is a difference for example the head spin in capoeria does not make more than a 360 degree turn at most usually just 180 degrees and is used just to reposition itself In bboying it is used to create momentum to continually glide The principles behind both are completely different.

  • lol. bboys took a lot of moves from things. flares/airflares gymnastics. now a nike from capoeira lol. oh well i still like breakin x]. thats y its so awsome. so many different things in 1

  • Special like that xD

  • Lmao the PLane hehe

  • the first time I heard him say because I am special like that I thought he said because I am spanish like that lol.

  • special like that....

  • I suppose the bboying Nike freeze originated from this move.

  • damn you're flexible

  • oe cabro de mela

  • lol i dont think this move is intended for self defense purposes.

  • its a capoeira move...

  • ha no shit sherlock.

this move is for visual purposes only

  • no shit sherlock what is this 1995 lol.

  • ok i got this one but, don't quote me on this but i think the two hands then one hand is called the nike

  • thanks a lot :3

ive always rlly wanted to learn this move and ive finally got the balance down :D

    and just in time too!

tonight is my school's promotion bash!

  • this dude is hott!!!!!!!!!

  • lol there sure are lots of planes around there

  • My place has TONS more, like one every 10 mins at least. There goes one now.

  • "Au batido" aka "beija-flor" (Humming Bird)

  • nice work thanx

  • BBOY EPIC JK LOL

  • NICE

  • out of all the vids you post up i can only do this and the cheat gainer because i Break and it kinda seems alittle easier.

  • nice to see someone recognise the art of capoeira :)

  • you'd be amazed how many breakers recognize capoeira, being how it is one of big influences for it. That and other martial arts, acrobatics, and jazz (jazz i think influenced the top rock & it's variations)

  • Nice. I Hope I Can Now Go And Learn The L Kick. (:

  • Thanks for posting; lol I know its like a basic move but so is a cartwheel. People will swear up and down they can do it, and end up with something crazy looking. So thanks, it helps to see someone do the basics, especially for us visual learners. :)

  • you can never, ever, ever, ever laugh at Epic. ever

He is like the Chuck Norris of the 21st Century. But cooler, honestly, he is cooler than chuck norris.

    Don't badmouth him.

  • @MrTitchboi No one is better than chuck

  • you arnt very nice

  • haushasahsau Capoeiraaa

  • wat my way?

  • awsome tutorial! i have trying to get these for a couple weeks. the cartwheel part helped me alot. I always tried to start from a handstand. but the way you start is ALOT easier for me. thanks

  • i do the handstand then i do a l kick so easy

  • ARGH fuck, i'm not flexible enough, lol.

  • nc pants dude

  • the jinga(idk how to spell it), i saw that on tekken. lol.

but yeahh. your videos help me alott.

  • omg they make it look so easy! :O

ive been tryin 2 do thisfor years and still cant master it :( good L kick tho !

  • Nice L kick

  • whats easier pike l kick or a nike

  • well so far for me was the Pike, the L kick, then the Nike being the hardest outta these 3 for me o.o

  • lol the people in the back were like, WHOIA!

  • does this move take alot of flexability in the hips

  • Yeah Look He Doing The Splits W
