Superb example of shunting and the proa's responsiveness to a light breeze... I was wondering, though, for oceanic rigs, is steering typically accomplished by helm force or rather by angle up and down (position relative to centre of wind effort)? Thanks.

Du Québec. Félicitations pour le Prao, une beauté en son genre, preuve comme quoi les anciens Polynésiens étaient des maîtres. Le film est tout simplement sublime...il nous donne le goût d'en savoir plus et d'essayer l'embarcation. Je fais du canot à voile dont j'ai construit les flotteurs. Cela deviens une passion, nous sommes peu dans le domaine, cela fait jaser!!! Et quant on pense que c'est au Québec que cela se passe, j'en suis fier. Génial
