  • It a fluval 305 UMM

  • Fluval sucks

  • definitely a fluval 305 but yeah good review :)

  • u say "um" a lot

  • ok so ive got that filter on my 55 gallon and i just cleaned it about over 1 hour ago and it still sounds like its filling with water, and usually it only takes 20 minutes to stop making any noise

  • is it a 305 or 350

  • Let me tell you; I think what you have done with this video is GREAT. I was concerned on how to setup a canister filter and after the video I was all ready. Thank you my new little friend.

  • your nice

  • foam pad are mechailna not bilochical

  • how old are you?

  • you are very sexy xxxx

  • are they really ease to use and how much do the good ones go for like am just looking to pay 95$150$ for one

  • i hope ur a girl because those paints look gay

  • I have to say that you have NNOOO IDEA how this video has helped me..hahahaha...I was going NUTS trying to figure out how to clean my filter..I have this same filter(which i love by the way) I lost my guide that comes in the book and wasnt sure how to turn this sucker off..lol...anyway, now i know...thanks to you!

  • UM!!!!

  • fluval really hasnt put much effort in the looks of the filter, compared to eheim

  • umm.... lol

  • Which is better Eheim or Fluval canister filters?

  • hey i am about buying fluval 305 i just need to know that how is the silence ??? as i read from some forums there is a strong burr sound but just some of them only

    thanks you

  • @guvencuzun good silence but you must have full water to run and maintence is hard

  • I love how you keep saying the filter sponges are bio filtration when in fact they are mechanical filtration. Only biological filtration you have in the canister is the Bio Max.

  • um umm ummm umm umm umm umm umm lol

  • Not to be mean but why didn't you save your 100 bucks and bulid a wet/dry ? Since its outside and those ponds are easy to drill, you could have put in an overflow down to a cheap bucket/tub wet/dry. Probally less than 50 with a pump and 1000 times better than a fluval. I had a Fluval 404 and it was pure junk. I see they made a lot of changes to the new 05 series.

  • dunno why some people have disliked this video! She hasn't said anything wrong! Some people are so quick to criticise someone for no reason! That's pretty sad and childish! You go girl, obviously you know more than a lot of other fish keepers! ;)

  • @BezwaldoLFC LOL, ISN'T THE PERSON IN THIS VID A LITTLE KID (MALE)??

  • @minimac541 lol yeah, sounded like a girl when I first heard it....:)

  • And the water goes wooooooooooooooohhhh all the way over here. Love it! Haha! :-)

  • so um so um...yea and um. um um..

  • thanks for video

  • what filter would be better for turtles the fluval 405 or the fluval fx5

  • i have fluval except for the FX5, i had myself an 405 and it keep leaking on me and also the impeller (motor) keeps jamming and making all these funny noise, and also i replaced all these parts(impeller, impeller gasket, rubber seal gasket, and new bottom canister) it was working fine than....but for only about 5 months, it started leaking again......

  • ok so i have one of these and the last time i had a accident and the water came gushing out of the tubes. so i need to take it apart again. so do i just lift the black tab thing up then the grey bit

  • is fluval 105 is good for turtles ?

  • SOmebody is very fond with the movie Nemo

  • nice filter i have the 205 & 105

  • can you use in salt water?

  • Why you have t be so flaming?

  • GET EHEIM!!!!!

  • i know, i know, i know, i know. trust me. It was my second choice. Fluval is just more available in my region... And Fluvals are a lot easier to clean, admit it. lol. tanks tho.

  • @jokd74nsd Unless it's an old Eheim they have known defects and are problematic. The Fluvals are a better deal for the price and my very first canister filter WAS an Eheim back in 1981.

  • Thanks, I have 3 piranhas, I'm def going to get a fluval 305 soon!

  • Is the Fluval 305 series suitable for a 55 gallon? Should I use it by itself, or with a hang-on filter/powerhead?? I Have Piranhas and they are quite messy. Thank you.

  • This filter works great for my 55 gallon tank, with 2 really messy goldfish and a bunch of corycats. It just depends how many piranhas you have and how much maintance you want to do on the filter... More is always better in general.

  • @TheNEMOsOMEN what is the rate of flow of this filter? What is the GPH rate (Gallons per hour).

  • TY for answering me and a BIG TY for all the videos you share with us ^^ i ll take some ideas to make my DIY filter for a fish tank.

  • Haha. No problem, happy this is helping somebody! sounds great, hope you have fun with a DIY build, just know it can become more expensive then just buying a filter, if you are not careful, lol.

    Thanks a lot,

    Nemo

  • I've had a Fluval 305 one week ago. Until now is working fine. After all that time with that filter what you about it? Any problems with it? My turtles feel much happier now xD

  • I had one slight problem with it the first 2 days days it was working, a tube popped out and flooded my room, but after that everything has beeen fine. I only do maintance on it every 3-4 weeks but i keeps the water crystal clean. BTW-clean the tubes as well, they can get clogged up.

    Thanks for your comment,

i am sure ur turtles love you even more,

    Nemo

  • Great vid. It will be my next filter and i hope to get it next week :D 5* for the vid!!

  • Great. I have been using it for a couple monthes, and (sfter my litttle problem where it flooded my room) it has been working fine. Thanks for your comment.

  • r u putting a tank out side?

  • i love ur videos!!!!

  • Thanks alot!

  • great vid. i got this filter 2 weeks ago and nothings gone wrong... yet.

  • lol. LUCKY, jk, mine been working great an keeping my 55 gallon crystal clear for 4 months.

  • oh yeah mine is right next to my tank and not underneath it.

  • I ran my 404 with my inlet tube dry. I just turned the filter on and siphoned water into the in tube.

  • thats interesting. I guess it would work, but in the long run it could be bad that the motor is running on air at the beginning...

That's pretty cool. Keep up the great work, thanks for your comment!

  • Well the main problem with mine was that the impeller was shattered by the magnet. So i superglued them to each other, then the ceramic shaft broke so I replaced it with a toothpick as the shaft. The only problem is that when theres water the impeller can't move it. So I run it dry then introduce water

  • wow, that sucks.i just started using the filter on a 55 tank (see other video). I tilted the filter to get a better look at it. i put pressure on one of the tubes and it popped out, and flooded my room with water. i eventually stopped it and spent 2 hours drying my floor. i emptyed the whole tank (took me 2 hours to fill it) to move it and dry the carpet under it. i then moved it back a day later and refilled it. I then had to reconnect everything. all this on day 1. lol. good luck :). thanks.

  • oh that happened to me before I stuck the tube back but had a small leak. Nothing a little electrical tape doesn't fix =p

  • lol. ya. except gravity was against me and a ton of water was coming out. I stuck one thumb in one hole the other thumb in the second... then i just sat there and called for help. parents weren't too happy... :/

  • for me the return line popped off so there was no water except for what i filled the line with. I think i used maybe 10 towels trying to setup that filter.

  • very helpful cheers buddy

  • Thanks a lot! :)

  • haha

plugg it in with the plug

    xD

  • lol. U'd be suprised what people would do. seriously..... hope you liked the vid. :)

  • haha

    yea the vid was great

    very imformative.

    :]

  • nice vid i wish i had your filter

  • Thanks. I like it a lot. Try ebay, you could get one cheap. Good luck. :)

  • Just got that filter, still cycling the tank, Its a pretty good filter but i dont know if this is normal or not, from time to time bubbles come out, i think there might be air in my filter

  • At the beginning it is normal. Like for the first 24 hours there might be some air still caught in the filter. After that it should stop. If there are still bubble after that 24 hours shake up the filter to dislodge the any air still caught and get it all out. Then it should be fine. At the very worst the tubing or canister could be punctured, letting air in, but this would cause extreme bubbling. Also, everytime you re-prime (after cleaning) it could bubble some again.... Hope this helps! :)

  • Yup helped alot, the bubbles stopped coming out.. And the water is almost crystal clear, love this filter

  • sounds great! also, just watch the O-ring. It's that plastic/rubber band that keeps the lid water-tight. A LOT of people have had problems with the O-rings on Fluval filters, and have come home to a flooded living room. Just check it when you're doing water changes; to make sure it isn't damaged....

glad it helped! Thanks for your comment! :)
