  • your arms must get tired

  • I am having one of those

  • Зачем нужен сенторный экран? Как играть то? Пальци устанут.Очередная тупость...

  • exactamente, es igual a la pelicula minority report, q guantes ni q nada q ocupaba el tipo, acá sólo se ocupan los dedos

  • Shuize, if i want to show someone something he will need to stand right next to me... cause ill simply block the view - worthless for presentations. White Board... hmm 4 or more employees want to checkup something - who goes first ? - worthless for white board ... solitaire or chess - lol perfect!

  • I heard techcrunch getting owned by twitter.

  • Minority Report, anyone?

  • I like the idea of the infinite scale OS. Iconless, content is content. The way it should be.

  • Reminds me of these couple-thousand dollar "SmartBoards" that my school bought a year ago. The things were basically giant, hyped up touch screens that weren't worth the money.

  • We have smartborads at school that use projector thing for the screen. That seems to be a lot better though.

  • we have these things at school that look like that but we call them "smartboards" i dunno if this is the same thing or not, but it looks a lot alike

  • The world of tech has so much to offer us!!Can't wait to see whats next. Click on and see major corruption, cops, judge, newspaper, youtube cyberstalker, guy arrested child porn. !

  • Thats going to be one filthy wall... :)

  • most boring presenter ever

  • Another microsoft's copy->paste->rename from apple...

    Sad.

  • Microsoft have been working on this since 2001. iPhone, I believe was just LAUNCHED before this product. Anyway, there is no comparison between the two. Watch the videos of the surface computer, it is atm far more advanced than any of the stuff Apples come out with. It has a load of functions that cannot be found anywhere else atm.

  • seven years for a zoom-with-two-fingers touchscreen?

    "its an innovation" <- LOL

it was like the microsoft presenter who talked about sql server 2008, he said "You can now keep a track of the changes on the database, this is a microsoft's innovation"

As far as i know, you can track DB changes ages ago.

  • its like coverflow and exposé in macintosh leopard. wow lol

  • like on the iphone...but on a wall.

  • iphone is actually like the microsoft touch table but in a phone iphone is using 6 year old touch technology microsoft has had...

  • very sone keyboards will be a thing of the past just dired touch screen

  • isnt that a smart board

  • yea thts wat i was thinkin

  • content... content... content...

what is in that wall again?

  • MINORITY REPORT?

  • They need to have an old woman smoking a pipe and laughing embedded somewhere in there

    -- goodbye crow

  • thank you for invit to asdd as friend

  • it's like in the bourne identity.

Did those movies give them the idea or the other way around?

    lol.

  • Yea it will be awseome... now U'll have to use both ur hands instead of just one. And you will have the luxury of standing all the time and also think of the stains on the glass :o

u'll need to have cleanex nearby all the time.

  • why did lucifer984 get down voted for saying "the ipod is a computer too" it is, maybe you retarded fanboys should take a basic computer class, i bet 90% of you fags are novice users anyways.

  • it's stupid.... why would you want to work and view things standing up all the time.. .computers should be done sitting down,,, u can't see shit when ur up that close to a projected screen... it lags alot too

  • um presentations idiot

  • dude its the same thing they use on cnn ballot bowl

  • This brings porn to a whole new level.

  • Minority Report much? This is the future of computers.

  • Its cool I guess....

  • its like that movie minority report.. kool

  • MORE PORN! lol jk

  • dude can we play halo on this now

  • But can you play counter-strike?

  • No it's "But can it play doom".

  • What the fuck happened to the touch table?

  • dude, i have this whiteboard at my skool

  • Thats great dude Utilize it

    IB

  • its not a whiteboard lol, and u prolly have a "smartboard", which is a projected image, this isnt projected :D

  • it looks like stealing apple's tech

  • I can't help but think that this is a mixture of a smart board and an ipod touch. I'd like to see it used practically, but I can't think of any good use for it. Until they get Tom Cruise working for the police, that is...

  • Ah, M$ yet again invents another great product after several companies came up with the basic ideas.

  • this shit is like minority report.

  • watch this:

    watch?v=uueFRzgbW_g

  • id like to use this for wanking. wouldnt this be fun? :-)

  • I think it's pretty annoying to have to enlarge thigns that much, it's surely good to have everything in one page instead of icons or links but who want to have tiny tiny stuff nobody can read or see on a screen!?

  • lol I wonder if it can do the internet?

  • lol what a joke!

  • stop saying microsoft stealing other peoples and companies ideas .response to user mython and doh11.Sometime we have the same creative thinking and similar too.If microsoft and apple sharing their idea and combine their invention. We have a great advanced technology in the future and maybe Apple & Microsoft Corporated Company.(AMCC)

sorry for my poor english. thanks you

  • How can I stop saying that? This one is just a huge iPhone screen.. O_o

  • and the iPhone screen is a mini Microsoft Surface that was developed BEFORE the iPhone

  • No I wont stop saying Microsoft stealing other peoples and companies ideas. That is the strategy of Microsoft, and have been from the very beginning. In fact; Microsoft wouldn't exist today if it wasn't for the very fact they screwed IBM over.. twice even!

  • Sorry... Bill Gates is a fagot. Learn your history.

He is a thief in all aspects

  • Ah.. Microsoft doing Pirating again, stealing other peoples and companies ideas and telling the world they came up with it. I sense a major lawsuit on MS azzes for sure around this one.

  • I see that the haters are out commenting on videos early. If you do not have anything to say other than "copy" Do not say that.

Concept might be a copy but then again thats like saying Toyota copied from Honda by making vehicle.

This product seemed to be purely designed for the office purposes. So far all the multi touch videos i see is purely entertainment purposes.

I must say i am definitely impressed with this particular concept

  • errr well I have a good idea... check my video.

  • Wowzy...

  • yeah...the same stuff all over the years...

    videos, photos and music...

    big deal!

and the mouse is more comfortable.

  • MS copied off of mac with the hand gestures ha its the same as the mac book air and new mac books

  • it's Apple who copied off MS

  • how is it a mac book air idiot? i bet it still has more than 1 usb port and more features than ur shit book air

  • "watch, apple will copy this, put an apple logo on it, and call it 'sexy'"

Ha ha will neer happen. This is yet som e crap from MS. Hey , nice watchuing Bill GAtes demonstrate this while he´s covering 1/3 of the screen for the audience. How Microsofty....

  • Deja-vu? ;-)

    /watch?v=FLVLy98F6LA

    (c) Perceptive Pixel Inc

  • watch, apple will copy this, put an apple logo on it, and call it 'sexy'

  • The New Apple iWall

    The worlds first interactive wall.

  • LOL

  • Imagine 10 years from now.

This kind of stuff will be in shops everywhere etc. Life is going to be so much more computerized.

  • this has been done before. Come up with something original.

  • watch as apple copies this as well

  • APPLE COPIES LOL??

because microsoft totally did touch gestures first right lmfao?

    retard

  • While I do see a serious potential for this, it needs to be much more refined and find a place in the market and household before it ever takes off. But the future looks very touchable.

  • Too bad this is useful for just one thing: pinching and unpinching photos :(

  • there is so much potential for this!!!

    i'd love to have one!

  • yeah right... and can you please tell me where you can buy this? Yes, microsoft has been working on this technology for some time (5 years plus), but can you buy this in a store? NO

Can you buy an iphone or ipod touch YES... there is quite a difference between showcasing a prototype and delivering a product to the market. Really hard to compare ipods with a giant wall anyway..

  • This isn't an Ipod... It's a computer, idiot.

  • How much has Jeff Han had to do with this work?

  • Microsoft is leap years ahead of apple.

Apple does not have anything like this and/or surface.

  • yeah, apple are only renowned for their iPods which are amazing inventions.

  • mmmmm so much so that the iPod uses the same type of technology .... gzzz u are fucking retarded.

  • @LooseLatitude and iPad wasnt the first, microsoft brought out the tablet in 2002 but apple fanboys are just ignorant.

  • My future interactive tv!

  • I gotta watch Minority Report again.

  • as cool as some of this may seem, i just can't see it being used practically. the way everything is scattered makes it very disorganized and impersonal for the user, and currently, it seems to be much slower than using a mouse and keyboard. not to mention a terrible back ache after a little while. maybe in a few decades someone will get it right (apple??)

  • He screwed up a bit. Raster images are not infinitely scalable, raster = pixel data. It is Vector images that are math based, and hence can scale infinitely (or as much as you can calculate anyway). Again, Raster = Pixels, Vector = Math.

  • ha ha ha no way .. they could be showing 3D like in video uVFsxev-2sk ... and waste it on this plain old 2D stuff?

    =

  • I wonder how this works in daylight with the IR lasers..

  • your ipod touch is 60 inches?

Ignorant moron, multi touch is way different

  • my ipod is 3.5 inches, also has multi touch but its aimed to a different market and i can play music xD

  • you're right about the 60 inches, but the iPod Touch DOES use a multi-touch interface

malishusV is right--there's nothing new here, only that microsoft is using a different implementation to get it to work on a large screen

  • Exactly. The iPod Touch and iPhone are not even near the technology that shows here in video.

  • The Plex program is the real gem here, even more so than the type of touchscreen. I would love to use this as an entire operating system.

  • i have a question, how accessable to buy are those infared scatter lasers? and more importantly if i wanted to put it on a Flat screen TV is it possible to just hook up the Computer to the Flat screen TV (via Computer-to-TV cables) and still have it able to recognize the touch gestures without a projector?

  • i'm not sure, because the screens here are glass, but yours is probably lcd and maybe the responsiveness is based on reflection, and so lcd doesn't really reflect lol

  • My infinite canvas paradigm, let me show you it....
