  • He's the legend......

  • Love this song. So he's not hitting the high notes here. happens to the best of them. He's still awesome live and always will be.

  • People just need to chill ...........he's a human being, and as human beings we're not always at our best....Hell,you try going on tour doing x amount of shows(put yourself in his shoes)...Maxwell,I got nothin but love for ya!!!

  • i agree with all the critics ive seen older videos and its not the same but i also understand maybe he had several shows to close and plus age doesnt just affect u physically also internaly i mean he is not 20 somenthing anymore im not saying he is ancient but that could be part of it . i will still sustain that his performance on the bet awards was the best live rendition this song has by far. i hope he gets the rest his voice need to be the awesomeness it can be for the grammys. cant wait. :D.

  • Beautiful! And so clear!!! ;-D

  • @ Somegamer it is clear that you are not a true fan. This man has been on tour 4 overa year now & the fall leg of the BSN Tour is the best by far. I have been a fan since the start & I've watched him grow as a performer & Max is on top of his game. I've seen Max 6 times in concert & he is the TRUTH!

  • LOVE IT!!! Thanks!!! (Keep 'em comin')

  • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MAXWELL...

But, no this is not his best performance of Pretty Wings. There's nothing wrong in saying that. All of the LOVE is still there... I attended the 1st show of the BSN Tour in Toronto where he admitted that he lost his voice during rehearsals. He was still amazing and I appreciated that he didn't cancel although others felt that he should have done so. I still LOVE MAXWELL and know he is capable of everything AMAZING!

  • @ Somegamer

So because he is having trouble with his falsetto after singing his heart out for 80 performances, you are no longer impressed. . .but, but, but. . .you love him. *rolls eyes*

"If all you've ever cultivated in your life is the ability to use your energy for the presumptive demoralization of others you should see a shrink." - Maxwell

    Take the hint.

  • amen allheavens!!!

  • people, we all have opinions!

I think that this performance was under par for Maxwell, simply look at the letterman performance or pretty wings and see whats hes capable of!

If your not well, you shouldn't perform. All it does it convince people who dont know him that he can't sing and those who do that hes struggling.

  • Anyone else not very impressed by Maxwell? I love him and I think Pretty Wings is one of the best songs released this year but he obviously couldn't sing in falsetto at all on Jools. He cut out the end of the first verse which is all done in falsetto and at the beginning of the second verse when he did try and go into falsetto his voice clearly cracks.

  • Maxwell is the BOMB! He has been ill. When he came to Stl, he wasn't able to hit the hi's but, he is still a great, and apparently humble performer. If you view other concernts where he was singin live, u'll see what I mean. LIke allheavens said, he's been on a whirlwind tour and how many performers do you think can brag that and still be 100 %. Hell, I have a hard time w/ my 9-5 m-f and staying healthy!! check some more of his performances. HE's DA BOMB!!!

  • I agree, tarnishac is talking shit... I've been a fan for over years too, but he sang way better before his hiatis. His new music is still awesome though, he just needs some good vocal coaching. I hope his vocal health will get better :)

  • T4P!!!!
