Dude. Adam was asking to move on from the AMA subject DAYS after it happened!! It hasn't been dropped because the MEDIA doesn't want to drop it. Every talk show he's on, he gets ASKED about it. While I think it's pretty ridiculous that Adam's appearances were canceled, I think his performance was just a bit more provocative than this one. He was pulling a man on a leash, running his hand up a woman's thigh to her crotch, making out with the keyboardist. Well it doesn't actually, but yes, you're right, Adam's performance- just as a performance- WAS weaker. This was really cool, Adam's was sloppy (including the vocals).
But THAT is not why he is getting banned from ABC. That's not it at ALL. It's because the FCC is all over him calling him "indecent" for doing what he did. Where was the FCC when THIS happened, I want to know?

Wow, so just because I'm an Adam Lambert fan commenting on a Pink video means I hate Pink? FYI I think Pink is one of the few great entertainers in this industry.
I admit I did come to this video because I heard she did something similar to Adam's AMA performance and wanted to find out if that was true. It's interesting that she also stuck a man's head in her crotch and no one complained, but now that Adam's done the same thing, it's suddenly a big deal. That doesn't mean I'm a Pink hater.

Dude. Adam was asking to move on from the AMA subject DAYS after it happened!! It hasn't been dropped because the MEDIA doesn't want to drop it. Every talk show he's on, he gets ASKED about it. What is he supposed to do, say "no, I refuse to talk about it, next question"?? That makes him look bad AND it goes against his open, honest nature. If people ask him about it, he'll answer. That doesn't mean he WANTS to. Because he absolutely DOESN'T, and has said as much.

THere is no national outrage for P!nk because she did not whine like a little bitch screaming "discrimination" and went on national TV or talk shows the next day trying to explain herself. This was not aired on mainstream television. Additionally... who says Pink wouldn't have suffered the same consequences had it been ABC? I'm not seeing a double standard. Pink simply chose to do this in a venue where she would not be punished for it. Personally... I don't care for either performances. Neither is anything great.

Now THAT is a valid argument, and one that Adam himself agrees with! haha. He's said many times that watching it back he kinda cringed at the vocals, and that if he could do it over again he'd sing it better. Everyone has their off nights vocally- I'm sure Pink has too at other times :) Unfortunately Adam's FIRST truly off vocal performance (that we've seen anyway) happened at a really unfortunate time

it's not a double standard. Pink doesn't have a d#%#, so the face in the crotch is only half as offensive! In other words, she can stick someone's face in her crotch, but there is no insertion unless the person with the face, chooses to insert their tongue; however, with the Adam move, there is little choice once the face is pulled to that area, his d#$# is now in your mouth. Kind of like the move MaObama is doing on America right now!

The good news is, at least this hoopla spotlights mainstream media for employing gender/sex orientation based double-standards and fallacious attempts to jusify them. While I think it's pretty ridiculous that Adam's appearances were canceled, I think his performance was just a bit more provocative than this one. He was pulling a man on a leash, running his hand up a woman's thigh to her crotch, making out with the keyboardist. It just seemed like he was trying to make a statement, and I couldn't tell you what it was. It just seemed over-sexed for the sake of being over-sexed.

That is what we call jumping to conclusions. I am not homophobic. The fact that Adam is gay does not bother me, and even if everything he did on that stage had been solely with women, I would have seen it as equally as provocative as I did his actual performance. I am not close-minded, I merely think that his performance was provocative. Pink's was as well, and that move was as inappropriate as Adam's--but the REST of her performance was not.

No. If what you say is true (I have not done much research on this subject) and it is specifically the crotch-face move that caused such reaction from the FCC, then I agree, it is very unfair and it is a double-standard. I have never even heard anything about this performance before. Never seen it, never heard anybody complain about it. This is the 1st time I've seen it, & I can't believe - she did exactly the same thing Adam did - it's ridiculous that he's being punished by ABC! Canceling GMA was bad enough, but these other appearances? So WRONG!!! Adam is amazing, he's a great vocalist & performer & a great person! Well it doesn't actually, but yes, you're right, Adam's performance- just as a performance- WAS weaker. This was really cool, Adam's was sloppy (including the vocals).
But THAT is not why he is getting banned from ABC. That's not it at ALL. It's because the FCC is all over him calling him "indecent" for doing what he did. Where was the FCC when THIS happened, I want to know?
