  • @prohelipilot1 This explains why Boeing chose RR as the launch engine for the 787 ! You do come out with some crap !!

  • @MrSuniman Does it also explain why the only A380's performing reasonable well are the ones powered by the Engine Alliance enginges. You do come up with some amazin crap yourself Mr prejudice

  • A380 wins..

  • Boeing forever!

  • Love both.................... but more A380 xD

  • The A-380 is a cracking, falling apart, poorly engineered piece of crap. If it's not Boeing, I'm not going.

  • @SupraRacer007 The same could be said for Boeings. 767s and 757s have suffered the same wing rib problem that the A380 has for years & brackets are routinely replaced. The 747 has constant issues with hydraulic seals on the landing gear and lately problems with fatigue on the inboard flaps. Yet all these things are picked up in maintenance and repaired or replaced. Even the new 787 has delamination issues but once again, it will be dealt with.

  • @BOACMach2 true, good point. All aircraft do have their unique flaws, and they're corrected on scheduled (or none scheduled) maintenance. I guess the repairs are job security for the mechanic bases around the world.

  • @SupraRacer007 I hear what you're saying re personal preference and Boeing's reliability is not in question. I just feel that the fact a single A320 of Jet Blue that had this nose gear issue clouds peoples' judgements on the overall quality of the model. What some forget is that Sullenberger is on record as saying the A320s FBW system played a large part in keeping the aircraft 100% intact as it hit the Hudson River. A 737 would have broken up. Qantas's engineers have a political agenda re. A380

  • @BOACMach2 from what I recall, there have been as many as 3 incidents (not just the Jet Blue A320 that landed in southern California) involving the nose gear. What this does is make me question the mechanical soundness of other parts of the aircraft, not just the nose wheel. When it's my own life being taken into consideration, and I can make the choice to find a flight using Boeing equipment, I do so. It's a matter of preference.

  • @BOACMach2 As for the Sullenbeger comment, my Father, who is a retired 747 Captain told me the day the A320 had to ditch into the Hudson River ... "any decent pilot and aircraft could have made that water landing, it has nothing to do with it being fly by wire." A gentle approach, slightly nose-up is all Sullenberger did that day. He bellied it in, and once the fuselage came into contact with the water, the control surfaces had no impact on the aircraft staying together or not.

  • @SupraRacer007 You listen to your father and not this BOACMach2 idiot who spends his life trashing Boeing while downplaying exploding RR engines and cracking Airbus wings. He is a very bitter Britt and does not represent the Brittish people in anyway, he is just a hater ( most likely due to the fact he is not happy with his own life )

  • @SupraRacer007 There are numerous instances of "failures" in the aircraft of both manufacturers. NTSB incident reports will show several instances of mechanical/structural failure, e.g. cockpit fires involving windscreen heating elements on 757/767; several engine shutdowns and uncontained failures involving the GE CF6-45 &80E; structural breaches on 737's, widely reported as you'll be aware. But at the close, I'd still take flying over anything else. The A380 is a great "passenger" aircraft.

  • @BOACMach2 I assume BOACMach2 did not post the flaws with the Airbus planes he is aware of is because there is not enough room on youtube. This BOACMach2 guy has dedicated his life to trasing Boeing and Americans. He is quite aware of all the Airbus problems including the cracking of the A380 wings but he just preffers to keep it hush hush as the Britts would say!!!

  • @SupraRacer007 so if you scedule vacations for example and you see that they are boarding you on an Airbus, you will cancel your flight???

  • @dimos47ki7 I honestly check ahead of time, and my last trip to Seattle from California, American Airlines flight was an A320. I changed to Alaska Airlines since their equipment for that same route was a B737.

  • @SupraRacer007 are there any official investigations that prove that airbus planes have more problems (or worse, are less safe) than boeing?

don't get me wrong i am no fan of any particular, i just think that it might be just a matter of nationality of the planes. i am prety sure French ppl (and even more european) would say that airbus is better

  • @dimos47ki7 I think honestly it's just a matter of choice or preference here. It's been a long time since I've read about any mechanical failure on a Boeing, and I read the ALPA (airline pilots association) magazine every month (my Dad's a retired 747 captain), and a handful of Airline & aircraft news sites as well. I think the Airbus nose wheel locking sideways problem is what did it for me. French people would likely say the Airbus is better, and the same for Americans & Boeing.

  • @SupraRacer007 AA don't operate the A320 as yet. Sure it wasn't a different airline?

  • @BOACMach2 it may not have been American Airlines, but it was a regular schedule US carrier. United, not sure which ... either Hotwire or Expedia showed the equipment. With the nose gear failures Airbus has experienced, and other things I've read online since then, I'm not comfortable being a passenger on anything that isn't made by Boeing. Sorry, just personal preference.

  • Slow down the pics so that viewers can actually see it all without having to pause pause pause. Just sayin'

  • i'd say both are friggin cool

  • A380 has already won since there are twice the number of 747-800's ordered already delivered

  • Boeing 747-8I Fastest In The Sky & Master of the sky!

  • A 380 its KING SKY

  • if the a380 got any bigger it would fall out of the sky

  • As an avid fan of the Boeing 747 I thought I'd be disappointed by the A380. However, I have to say it is a great aeroplane, moving wide bodied design into a new league. More spacious for passengers and in terms of sound there is no roar at takeoff; it seems to have the same quiet sound at takeoff as cruise - amazing.

  • A380 just because B747 is old!!! otherwise, i didn't know it!!! ;-)

  • pictures went way too fast it was almost dizzying

  • The a380 is to quiet. That make's the 747 more of a monster!

  • @geegang the new 747-8 i is much more quieter than the older 747-400.

also the 747-8 looks so majestic in the air while the airbus a-380 looks a big fat guy flying!

  • @sandman1352 Quieter engines don't necessarily equate to a quieter cabin, I'll wait til the passenger version is in airline use & listen to passenger feedback !

In my flying experience Airbus products have quieter cabins, although I have a soft spot for 747's, they have a tough feel to em !

  • @MrSuniman agree, 747 is just an iconic aviation shape in my mind.

but 380 is really impresive too

  • some of the 747 pics are actually 747-400's. No passenger airline has ordered the 747-8i apart from Lufthansa, and they haven't had theirs delivered yet.

  • the emirates airline company has a380s so decked out, the first class of an emirates a380 is the closest you'll ever come to flying a private jet without the private jet.

  • The 747-8 looks more futuristic than a380

  • 747 ALL THE WAY!!!

  • @fube432 Nope A380 all the way its the KING of the skies.

  • Even though 747 isn't going against the A380 i take the 747

  • 747 is the most confiable and beautiful airplane of the world. is much better than 380. sorry my english i speak spanish. saludos from Argentina.

  • @prohelipilot1 And yet airlines still select RR as the choice to power their airframes. They are the second largest supplier of aircraft engines for large civil airliners.

  • @JungleCat28 Thats right SECOND, not First

  • @prohelipilot1 Second in the world - you think thats a non achievment? Considering the fact that rolls-royce is a much smaller company compared to the giant american manufacturers like GE & PW with their vast capitol, its an amazing achievment for them to wrestle so much competition from them.they only managed to do this on the back of selling engines that were as good if not better than the competition.

  • Comment removed

  • @JungleCat28 prohelipilot has major issues as you see. He sits there day after day hoping Airbus will stop outselling Boing year in year out. A sad, pathetic individual.

  • @BOACMach2 Are you ready to admit you were wrong on the A350 delays, Its no big deal buddy. but a good man admits when he is wrong

  • @BOACMach2 Are you ready to admit you were wrong on the A350 delays, Its no big deal buddy. but a good man admits when he is wrong. Accept my friend request.

  • Lockheed l-111 all the way!

  • @55mezzy The AAAAAA33333333333888888888888888000000000000 SUCKS, It is just an overwweight plane with poor performance and shit efficiency. and it is already outdated

  • @prohelipilot1 And then you got the word of the airlines, the actual operators of that aircraft such as singapore airlines, that claim its exceeded their performance expectation of the aircraft..and this is only the first incarnation of the aircraft minus any Performance improvement packages.

  • @JungleCat28 Ask Singapore Airlines what there dispatch rate is? I know it is below industry standard, Singapore Airlines said so, And they do have the more efficient A380's with the Engine Alliance engines

  • @prohelipilot1 Singapore dosn't use the more efficient EA GP7000 engine, they use RR trent900.The Gp7000 is more efficient on cruise , however, the trent is more efficient during climb as is typical of the triple spool desighn and weighs about 1000lbs less per engine.

  • @prohelipilot1 Sorry for my bad grammar.

  • @JungleCat28 Do not mind this BOACMACH2 idiot, he tells nothing but lies. Airbus and all the News agencies have A380 sales at Dubai at 5 aircraft this BOACMACH2 idiot tells us over 18 airlines bought the A380 there. He also has been arguing for months that the A350 is not delayed, Jim Leahy from Airbus Ind. say the A350 is delayed. BOACMach2 has been proven wrong on every comment he makes but he STILL keeps lying to everyone. Read is comments and check them with Airbus.com

  • @prohelipilot1 Singapore airlines are retiring the last of their 747's next month & are very happy with the 380. From SIA, "In the greater scheme of things, the aircraft's dispatch reliability is comparable to any aircraft currently in service. We continue to work with Airbus on ways to improve the operational performance of the A380,"

  • @prohelipilot1 LOL!...Pathetic comment. But who's surprised. Now go away Fool!

  • @BOACMach2 Yet you lie again, Airbus says the A350 is delayed, Jim Leahy from airbus made that statement at Dubai. You ( an armchair fanboy, known for bullshitting ) say different. Lets here it now BullShitterMach2 tell us again that the A350 is not delayed. and then show us what 18 airlines bought A380's at Dubai. Airbus say they sold 5 A380's there. Everyone on youtube knows you as a bullshitter

  • @TheLastPieceOfBacon I will definitely always love the 747 more. I don't see why the A380 is getting so much attention and most airlines are ignoring the new 747-8. Only a few major world airlines have placed orders for it far as I know. And you're right - the 747 has been through a lot. Plus, Boeing planes in general give pilots more control than Airbus planes, which I would really care about if I were a pilot.

  • 747 or A380.......?! And the winner is,............... 787!

    R.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N is all in 787!

Folks this is the most advance cockpit system, the most fuel efficient, most environmentally friendly, most lightest & yet strongest composite material composed of, most quietest, best cabin air pressure/ air purification system, and most comfortable ride for passengers in any plane ever built so far; I'm so very proud of you, Boeing Dreamliner!!!

    [with love from SanFrancisco]

  • @MisterSunson @ Mistersunson - That's what I call it 'A Genuine American Ingenuity'!

  • The 31 dislikes are from the airlines that already bought the A380 and realize what a mistake it is

  • A380 vs 747-800 is the equivalent of fighters' 5 vs 4.5 generation: Not precisally in the same league.

  • A380!!!!

  • uhmm idc bc they prob both like over 1 grand >.<

  • half the pictures you shown were the boeing 747-400 not the 800I

  • @MrWillydoit haha pity no one wants it 30 orders HAAAAAAA

  • I think the song came from The Cranberries

  • 747 (Queen)

  • @360blackmon the A380 is the King then.

  • A380 is much better than 747

  • @21stads I agree with you the music was nauseating to say the least.....

  • 747-8!!! BYE A380

  • @MrToaster747 You clearly no nothing of aviation and I guess you're probably American, and just saying that the 747 is better as it's American made. However, the A380 is bigger and better. Boeing just keep trying to upgrade an old design.

  • @IIproductionsII the a380 has a bad designe!He looks like a humpback whale!

  • @MrToaster747 It's not a bad design if it's the only aircraft around that has 2 decks. Aircraft aren't made for looks, they're made for safe flying....and the A380 does that very well.

  • @MrToaster747 Yeah airlines totally choose airplanes by their look instead of how economical and reliable they are.

    Idiot.

  • @MrToaster747 But whatever, if you are really from Switzerland you should remember what happened to Swiss MD-11, american made plane that crashed because of design errors that caused fire.

  • @Pvjinflight And you should also remember the A380 has already had an inflight fire and they have found singed wiring on most of them so that would be a good reason not to get on one

  • @prohelipilot1 It had only engine failure that was rolls royces fault and is fixed now. Did you know that long time after it was made 747 had accident caused by design error that still wasnt detected (or probably Boeing tried to save money by not revealing it), and many people died when blown out from the plane after cargo door opened inflight and made huge hole to airplane.

  • a380 looks better, the body is the same at the entire plane, while the 747 as a tumor on its head. face it the 747 is old!

  • How they know the range that a plane can fly?

  • @HKS134 They both can fly 8,000 N M , but the A380 cannot do it with any cargo and it need alot of empty seats to do it too. Of the 615,000 lbs the A380 can carry 508,000 lbs is fuel

  • Is shitty music like a pre-requisite for these types of videos?

  • There are many other examples of impossible conditions created in the cockpit by the computers; I WORKED on Airbuses, and many times the pilots would tell me the entire flight deck blacked out on approach!

As for the 747 fuel tank exploding, that's total propaganda to cover up a missile fired by the US Navy.

Considering the number of planes each has built, and the hundreds of millions of more miles flown by Boeing, they are orders of magnitude safer than Airbus!

  • @silverpirate I agree with you 100% and you are by far not the first to mention cockoit blackouts. And I also do not by the exploding fuel tank theory .

  • Well whether or not he's biased, he's certainly misinformed. The first A320 crashed because the computers over-rode the pilot's command. Design error. Another one crashed into the Atlantic because the the pilot let his 14 year old son fly, and could not reach over the seat and boy to get to the side-stick control when the boy treated it like a big video game. The NTSB said that the last one to crash into the Atlantic did so because of almost impossible conditions created by the computers.

  • Dartagnyn mentions 4 Boeing crashes over 24 years but he failed to mention any of the hundreds of Airbus crashes and uncommanded and uncontrollable flight characteristics of the Airbus line. This man is not at all biased is he?

  • As a long-time avionics maintenance engineer, I want to say that Airbus already has, and will continue to kill many, many people because of flawed design decisions. (Three months after Air France got their first A320, the computers crashed it into a forest - Airbus promptly tried to blame it on the pilot using falsified data!) That is a fact known to many maintenance people and pilots, and the reason why many of them have a sticker on their luggage that says; "If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going!"

  • @silverpirate No Airbuses have so far crashed solely due to design error. As for Boeing, TWA800, a 747, crashed because the fuel tank exploded due to faulty wiring, Lauda 004, a 767, because a thrust reverser deployed in flight, uncommanded, ripping the plane to pieces. USAir 427 and United 585 crashed because of uncommanded rudder hardovers, sending the planes into an uncontrollable dive. Hardly a glowing reference considering 3 different Boeing models were involved. Boeing is no safer.

  • 0:18 is a 747-400

  • I still say the 747 is still the king of the sky

  • @RoRcrashslave the queen

  • @ricsikecske yeah I know I just felt like saying King

  • @MrWillydoit It will. It has a life of 25 years, unless it crashes.

  • @julesgymnast - That is a complete lie. Your just pretending, Look at Emirates ''A friend of Europe'' ad.

  • @AvationTrick you should order one for a dildo

  • @julesgymnast Bullshit comment as usual from you. A380 had only one engine problem that was rolls royces fault (dont you remember how one 777 crashed in heathrow because of Rolls royce)? Emirates are buying more of them and are very happy with A380, and it hasnt killed passengers because of design fault like 747 did in its early years.

  • Comment removed

  • The A380 looks fat in profile, but it is beautiful and powerful view from other angles, the profile will be thinner on the A380-900 versions. The B747 is more beautiful, but this "bump" is really stupid, it looks like a deformity...

  • 747-8i!

  • airbus el mejor xD

  • design wise, 747-8 is a lot better

  • i think the 747 looks soo much better

  • A more poignant battle would be between the 787 and the A380. Why? Because that was really the approach of both manufacturers showing through - Airbus with their philosophy that crowded hubs will only get more crowded and airlines and hubs need more capacity, thus the bigger airplane. Boeing said no, people want fewer connections and more point to point flights. In the end both made both, but Boeing spent far less $ simply upgrading the 747. Who will win? Only time will tell.

  • Living near heathrow I've come to notice how iterating the A380 is, its approach is VERY low compared to the 747's that fly in and out, hence y there are limited places for the a380, personally 747 is more versatile and can do more there fore a380 will fail like alot of people expected, it's just to big for modern airports and still has to many issues with it

  • @parfett118 Actually, the A380 is going lower because off weight. As we all know, the A380 is bigger, so it will go down quicker.

  • @AvationTrick yes,but think about its cost, and then you need to build new terminals to fit its size, its a good aircraft but airports don't seem ready for it, i feel when the 747-800 comes out more airlines will buy because its cheaper and airports are capable to home it without new terminals and hangers.

  • @parfett118 The 747-8I has been available to buy since 12/05 (Lufthansa's order of 20) Since that time only Korean Air (5) & China Airlines (5) have bought it. The remaining 8 are BBJs. Given all Boeing's expertise & experience, it has to be said sales are v poor compared to A380 with 234 orders from 18 airlines. Lufthansa & Korean are also operators of the A380. Boeing missed out here. They had the "jumbo" market to themselves & now have lost it to Airbus. A380 is the better aircraft, no doubt.

  • @USNemesis Yes but you haven't taken into consideration that Airbus has put all of their time and effort into advertising and selling the A380 whereas Boeing has been building 2 aircraft; the 787 and the 747-8. In the long run when everyone sees how the two Boeing aircraft perform, (if they perform well) Boeing can expect more orders for both aircraft.

  • @3snowyman interessting discussion! thanks.

I personally think the A380 will fail, it's to expensive and its construction is split over whole europe. It's great that it is the biggest one and that they finaly built it, but if you look at the financial problems, the 747-8i is a lot better. It cost's less, it's "only" a new kind of 747 wich means the development is much cheaper, ... and a lot more reasons.

  • @yorryyorry Thank you! I don't think the A380 is a horrible aircraft and I'm not against airbus like a lot of people. Even though I prefer Boeing, Airbus made an incredible aircraft. But the only reason that I think the A380 will fail because the biggest aircraft Airbus has ever made is the 340. Boeing is the veteran of 2 deck aircraft. Airbus needs to fail to improve. They need to learn from their mistakes.(already Quantas 380 engine) The financial arguments you brought up are great too.

  • @3snowyman I completely agree ^^

  • @3snowyman But that's not true is it. Airbus have been developing and marketing the A350, planning the A320neo in addition to markleting/selling the A380 so I don't buy your argument that resources were devoted only to the latter. It must be a concern to Boeing that the target market for the -8I (ie 400series operators) have given it a lukewarm reception and BA has broken its long term link with Boeing and has opted for the A380 completely. JAL are financially incapable of replacing their 400s.

  • @USNemesis yeah, developing the a350xwb, the ABSOLOUTE COPY OF THE 787...

  • @jaffacake1578 Apart from the fact your comment does not relate to the comparison of the 2 aircraft in question, it's also incorrect factually, should you decide to check the technical specs of both the 787 & A350.

  • @USNemesis actually, maybe you need to... just because two of the 3 models are bigger than the 787, DOES NOT mean that they haven't copied the 787 features... and besides one of the a350's is built to compete with the 787-800 and 787-900 the other two models are built to compete with the 777 family...

  • @jaffacake1578 What nonsense!. Based on your logic, that means the 777 can be considered a copy of the A330 and the 767 a copy of the A300. No sensible person suggests Boeing copied Airbus's lead in wide bodied designs. Aircraft are going to have generic similarities as a result of developments in technology, building materials and power plants. That aside, these airliners do differ from the method of construction through to the avionics systems used. Perhaps you ought to grow up a little.

  • @USNemesis wtf man u are making no sense, i never said anything else was copied, i just said that the a350xwb copies the 787, you are just an over-reacting airbus fanboy, where as i am a fan of both boeing and airbus...

  • @jaffacake1578 Buddy, I'll keep this real simple. If manufacturer B copies manufacturer A, the customer will just say to B, "whats the point in buying your product, it's identical to A's?" In business, the whole point is offering something extra/different. The 787 and A350 may have similarities but they are by no means "copies". To an untrained eye maybe, but to those of us in the aviation business they are different in the same way Mercedes differ from Lexus. "Airbus fanboy"..grow up kid!

  • @USNemesis I understand your points. But I have not heard anything about the 320neo so that is out of the question. The A350 is the 787s biggest competitor. The 350 has 500 orders while the 787 has 800. While these are fairly close numbers, Boeing devoted most of their time looking into and accomplishing putting a carbon fiber frame on this aircraft. The A350 took a less aggresive approach putting carbon fiber on a metal frame which isn't as..can't find the right word. inventive? see below

  • @3snowyman The 787 is an entirely new aircraft. It has a new cabin, fuselage, wings, and cockpit. Airbus played it safe with the 350. And another point is that the 787 and 747-8 came out within a relatively short time period. (Within 5 years of each other) The A380 came out within the last 2 years and I don't believe any airlines have received there first 350. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

  • @AvationTrick yeah, ever heard of engines? they thrust the aircraft to make it increase in altitude... which is why there isn't really an explination for the a380 to fly really low...

  • lol

  • BOEING THE BEST!

  • @boeingfan882 LOOOOOL CHECK UR NAME BEFORE U COMMENT HAHAHAH IDIOT :D

  • @boeingfan882 they are the worst!

  • If the two were to fight each other, both would lose. Because I love both.

  • and you are not showing a equal battle, because de A380 got more time in this vid

  • @Airplanespot

    I know

I like the a380 more but i think the design is ugly.

So I like the 747 too.I found more good pictures for the A380 and that is the main reason why there are more pictures...

  • @yorryyorry aha i discover it, well if we will compare the a350 and b787 it will be almost same luxious inside

  • I prefer the 747, nothing can defeat this aircraft or replace ti

  • @Airplanespot hate to break the news, but the a380 has already defeated it

  • @daimasongoodspeed Sorry, but you're wrong. First off, the 747-8 interior has business class suites that beat any A380 first class suite out there, amazing first classes, awesome big passenger lounges, even economy passengers get their own separate suite like beds, better bars, and the interior lighting is amazing. Also, the A380 is too big-airports have to make huge modifications for it to land there, and it can't even land at many airports. Plus the 747-8 is way more environmentally frendly

  • @DNETV the A380 is better than the 747-8. It has a better business class suite, and it does not beat the A380. And Lufthansa, largest owner of the 747-8 hates it. The first class lounge for them is beautiful. And know what. It is only for A380 passengers! You do not know that Airbus is better!

  • @daimasongoodspeed And also, the 747-8 even has excersize rooms. Sorry i had to put that in another comment-I ran out of characters in the first comment. But anyways, I gave all the proof in the first comment and this one on how the 747-8 beats that useless piece of trash that put so many people out of their jobs known as the A380

  • @Airplanespot It is a old design

  • isch jo krass

  • good job broh ... xD
