  • FIRST CHOICE

  • Such a unique video. Cool!

  • @loneaxolotl Thanks!

  • Do they not maintain a 5 mile separation for IFR aircraft?

  • @craigwright1000 I guess not...

  • @craigwright1000 But they maintain the flight level separation ;)

  • @MiGutzu ;-)

  • Look at those contrails forming! It gives you an idea how fast the jet is really flying.

  • Nice video :-)

  • if you were at 39000 ft than the other aircraft was rather at 37000 or 35000 ft. Parallel routes have usually both even or odd altitude values. This helps avoiding collisions with aircraft travelling at different directions

  • @festiwalpraski Thanks for clearing that up, I was just guessing the altitude of the other aircraft from our own.

  • I know a guy who flies the Thomson / First Choice a320.

  • It's a A321

  • Me gusto.. excelente video.

  • @Cabocodera1 Thank you! Gracias!

  • Awesome footage, thank you. Yes, that is a 3rd plane several thousand feet below the First Choice. Sweet.

  • that is what ii call IN FLGHT ENTERTANIMENT :)

  • I LOVE AVIATION! =)

  • @73790 I'm afraid that I have no idea, at a guess I would say it was heading for Malaga, possibly from a Southern UK airport.

  • Breathe deeply the chemical trails

  • que lindo!

  • @TheCoolguymd No, this was over the South of France.

  • nicely done keep up the good shots :)

  • makes me wanna go on holiday already xD

  • nice vídeo!!!!

  • nice video!

  • wow.

  • wow.

  • 0:42 there is even a 3rd plane OMG!!!

  • race race raceee yeaah

    thats racing

  • in the cockpit sound the Traffic Allert every second :D

  • That was cool!

  • Good camera work, smooth flight :-)

  • @Harti2000 Thanks, I was very lucky to be able to get such a shot.

  • Great Video :P

  • Oxygen is a main concern..the higher you go the less air there is,so you had better have a good supply of it on board. The thin air also poses another problem..as wings need air to provide LIFT,planes will need to go FASTER in order to achieve the same lift they would get in a thicker atomosphere.Eventually there is no air as you approach space,so you'd need rocket thrusters literally to travel in space. and not have to worry about wasting any more fuel, as gravity will do it.Sources:A340 pilot.

  • lol looks like zooming out is FS2004 :))

  • It looks to me as if there is yet a third plane between :0:27 and 0:47 flying some few thousand feet below, in the same direction ( about 5/6 th up the way of the video screen ) Take a look. Is it another plane, or is it an artefact of the observers camera / plane window ?

  • @valarmanwe I think that you are correct, there does indeed appear to be another aircraft.

  • @stuartmoss i also think its a reflection on the window...i think...

  • @billakos83 Look at the zoom from the camera. If it is a reflection, the zoom would not work so perfectly :)

  • @valarmanwe yeh dey is like racin

  • @valarmanwe DER IS WELL SPOTTED

  • @valarmanwe my guess is that is a reflection in the window

  • @valarmanwe i saw it to!

  • @323tiim Good. I received a reply saying that it is an artefact - something maybe reflected in the plane window, or something within the lenz of the camera. But the more I look at it, the more I`m convinced it is indeed another plane below.

  • @valarmanwe Well, you can see that the plane has a trail at the end of it, so if it was going a high enough speed to cause a trail at such a low altitude (judging by where these planes are - one being filmed and the one that the video is been taken in) it's probably not another plane.

  • @WhiteSugarFive You may well be right. It might not be another plane. But if the plane from which the film was made is at 39 000 ft, the object in question could be at 29 000 ft. High enough to cause a vapour trail.

  • @valarmanwe Well, it doesn't matter how high you are to cause a vapour trail; the point being is that if it causing a vapour trail it means it's going extremely fast, and because it's at such a low altitude at that speed, it's probably not another plane. No commercial plane would fly that low at that speed.

  • @WhiteSugarFive How do you know what speed it`s flying at ? And how do you know at what altitude it`s at ? Neither of us know the speed of the plane from which the vid was shot. Or the speed of the object. I`m only asking because you seem to be convinced it cannot be another aircraft. I have my doubts.

  • @valarmanwe I'm not saying I do know what speed it's flying at, but what I am saying is that because it's creating vapour trails, it has to flying at a really consistent fast speed.

    P.S.

Is this an argument, because it's really pointless to fight about this, lol.

  • @WhiteSugarFive Maybe I misunderstand you. Are you saying that a-priori the object is travelling fast ( because of the trail ) ? And, in addition, are you saying that an aircraft would not be flying at such a speed at such an altitude ?

The object might be at 30K ft. Fast enough to create the trail, and high enough to be another plane.

Of course this is an argument. But a good natured one. The vid puzzles the Hell out of me.

  • @WhiteSugarFive Vapour trail happens when enough cold air gets through engines, thats why you dont see vapour trails in lower altitudes unless theres very low temperature.

  • @valarmanwe Its either a UFO or some dirt on the window :)

  • @valarmanwe It is the reflection of the First Class plane in the dual layered screen. The bright tip is the sun reflecting on the cockpit of the jet. Nice find, i didn't even notice it.

  • @XCougar85X Interesting answer. An artefact of the plane window then ? As I suggested it could have been. I`m still not convinced, one way or the other, but yours is the most interesting and persuasive comment I`ve yet received.

  • @valarmanwe Absolutely agreed! Im just not sure its a plane. You see a "tail" of some sort, but I cant define what exactly it is?? Anyone else? Opinions?

  • @valarmanwe I think its a reflection of the cabin from the window.

  • over 9000 penises!!

  • @thedayitriedtodie

    LOLZ :P

  • Awesome! Love stuff like that.

  • Awesome!! :)

  • Amazing.

  • prob heading to either Manchester or Gatwick

  • @charlieiscool1000 Afraid not, heading South...

  • SUPERB!!!! I've seen planes closeby at cruise altitude byt not this close...NICEEEEEE

  • @superfestiva dude i just came back from brazil 2 weeks ago... and we were no joke parrallel with another plane a bit bigger than us for about half an hour... and they landed on the run way nxt to ours at the same time we did... sick shit :p

  • @mbmjdudes

damn!!!! grab your cel phone or camera next time!!!! cheers!!!

  • hey, there's my house!

  • wow that's amazing. i got back from Paris the other day and managed to film the London Eye from the aeroplane. Come take a look on my channel if you want.

  • no probleme, you have a nice camera quality!

  • what is fying? you mean flying !

  • @HamburgAirport Thanks for that - corrected!

  • Why is he flying so close? i dnt get it :P

  • sorry silly question what camera u got ?

  • @andersonluke1 It's a Canon HG10

  • Love this view think they look amazing and it shows the true power of them. Will miss the first choice colours.

  • 737's can fly 39'000feet. It's true it depends on what type of 737. This is the order of Wich 737 types can fly that high. 737-300 Max 35. 737-400 max 35. 737-500 max35. 737-600 max 40. Newer models such as 737-800 max 40. 737.900 max 40. This info is a fact. Sence my father is an 737Pilot for Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). If u chose to not beleave me then you ignorent.

  • That is really cool!!!

  • This is an excellent video,

    Thanks for Sharing.

  • look close at 27 sec...something in flying near the right wing....is it jet flying lower or something else???

  • Yep I noticed that too! I thought it was a reflection on the window. Maybe it is a plane landing nearby as these planes use the same sort of bearing.

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH hello BRUTALTRUTH, mjakes20 here, an old youtube enemy, and since you have blocked me and I can;t contact you any other way, here I am. Remember on the queen seen at gatwick video where i wished the queen would come to dublin and you disagreed and we argued? Well if you kept up with the news, you would know that the queen did come to dublin for 3 days, and that the not so brutal truth was predicted by someone who isn't arrogant, ignorant or rude. That is all. Thank you.

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH Who told you she was in Dublin???>Bloody nonsense!

  • @nutcrackerm3 i see it too looks like another plane obviously much lower

  • This is amazing! It also brings home the fact that when you fly your plane is travelling through a force of hurricane winds!

I was once flying back from Spain and saw an Easyjet 737 passing in the opposite direction. The speed of the bastard was fightening!

    Excellent video :)

  • go first choice!! they take me on my holidays!!

  • I went with Monarch this year to Faro! £7.00 they charged for a lousy breakfast! The sausages and eggs were swimming in grease and my fellow passenger's breakfast was more burnt that St. Joan of Arc :(

  • ugh, charter can be annoying.

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH I flew on a BA DC10 from London to New York in 1992. The main meal was a choice between chicken and beef. I asked for chicken. One of the Irish Stewards told me there was no chicken left. I said I`d have the beef. It was the best beef I`ve ever had, to this day ! I told the steward this. And he asked me if I`d like another plate full. Hell, right I would ! All the meals and all the drinks were `free.`

  • @valarmanwe Is that suppose to cheer me up or what? :(

  • You are flying on a 757 not a 737, that's why you are at FL390!

  • I'm pretty sure it was a 737...

  • Yupp the old classic 737's are capped out at FL370. 757/767's 420 an the new generation 737's FL410. Airbus A320 family FL390. Nice vid though shame FCA livery will be going soon :/

  • @adouglas333 it could have being a 737-600,700,800,900 OR next generation, their service ceiling is 41,000 FT but if not the service ceiling on the classic is 37,000 FT and the rest of the 737's have a service ceiling of 35,000 FT.

  • @adouglas333 I agree with you, Jet2 only have 737-300, these aircraft are only certified to 37000ft

  • Jet2s 737s are capped at 37,000 feet, cant be 39,000 feet. cool video tho.

  • Well the Captain clearly said 39,000ft on the way there, and 36,000ft on the way back, so either you or he are wrong, but that is definitely what he said.

  • i work for Jet2 and our 73s can only fly at max 37,000ft only 73NGs can fly at 39,000ft, you must have miss heard, or the captain is winding passengers up.

  • A320 sorry

  • Thanks, I've corrected the title.

  • cool name haha made me laugh :)

  • Its a A321. First choice don't have A319's

  • That must be just slightly unnerving.
