Yes, you do need to Upgrade your crossbow. @1233889, I's not a cheat. He just did it wrong. Hit the big daddy with our electro bolt, and then hit them twice with the "red bolt" for the crossbow. Regardless, it doesn't matter how upgraded your crossbow is, you can still kill a big daddy in two shots even when you first get it after you place the first photo in Cohen's Collection.

@killthemuffin91 He is using a glitch to where he switches to his plasmid and then back to his weapon and it skips the reload process. I played on hard and it takes about 7 incendiary bolts to kill elite daddys. You will notice his plasmid is insect swarm 3, and not electro bolt.

The BD's 'eyes' go yellow spot on 4 seconds, they are already dead before they keel over on to the ground. Just watch closely and stop trying to be such smart arses. Fairly epic kill regardless of the time, and probably faster than most of you could manage.

@jfsh210 Wow he must have done little damage because if you look at the start the big daddy lost a quarter of his health bar. Thats around how much the crossbow does. And I think those were incinerate rounds which do more damage. And there is a slight of hand sort of tonic that you unlock so this is legit :) And the bid daddy dies at 5 seconds you smart person :)

What I really like about the Crossbow is that one of the upgrades for it makes the bolts unbreakable, so I can keep recollecting the bolts from a Splicer's dead body, and any shots that missed, I can usually get most of them back with Telekinesis.

I don't think it's acually medium, I think more like easy because the big daddy takes more damage on easy, plus, when you get the crossbow, the big daddies are all elietes and are much harder to kill.

Anyone saying this is fake you need to stfu. I do this all of the time and it's very effective. Basically all you do is fire, change to plasmid, change back to crossbow, fire again and repeat. This skips the delay between shots so you can unload your entire clip within seconds.

Also....the "Alpha Series" which are first released during the Fontaine Futuristics level of BioShock 2, are failed versions of what were going to be Big Daddies.
