I don't see this as either a "romance" song or a "God" song b/c it's obviously both.
"Every long lost dream lead me to where you are...God blessed the broken road that led me to you" says to me that all those failed relationships were allowed by God so He could make way for someone better, someone who could provide for me & lift me up the way God intended & the way He knows I specifically need.

This is my favorite version of this song... it makes me want to cry. I remember I first heard this song on a local Christian radio station, on the day I graduated from high school; it has even more emotional value for me as a result of this.

I love this song and Selah's version. By the way, the lead female voice was either the original writer or recorder (or both) of this song. In the past i would call myself a christian but would sin like crazy. I didnt understand that Jesus was not a ticket to sin. This past week, God opened up my eyes to just how much i hurt him. @mZbuBLY4u It can be used any way you want it to. :) My moms friend got married to her walking down the isle to this song but her sisters sang it. It was amazing. That is actually a really good idea I am getting married in april of 2013 but I don't want to copy my mom's friend from her wedding lol It was really beautiful though you should walk down the isle to this song it is AMAZING! Every one will cry and be really happy.

@mZbuBLY4u This song was sung at my daughter's weddinng.....after she had reached the alter. I am getting married next month and now my daughter will be singing it at my wedding. It is an absolutely beautiful song for a weddinng.

I love this song and Selah's version. By the way, the lead female voice was either the original writer or recorder (or both) of this song. She is not part of Sleah but performed wit with them on their Duets album. And to BeautyfulDawn, thank you for posting the lyrics, but you got part of them wrong. In the past i would call myself a christian but would sin like crazy. I didnt understand that Jesus was not a ticket to sin. This past week, God opened up my eyes to just how much i hurt him. I felt extremly sorrowful because i thought Jesus would never take me back for willingly sinning but after connecting to some other christians and reading Luke 15, i know that God has forgiven me. Even now, i just cant bring myself to move on. God had every right to leave me but he didnt. Thats true love.
