Flavius Josephus's Books of the History of the Jewish War against the Romans. Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War. You do know that the AD BC system was adopted in the Western world in 525 by Dionysius Exiguus, a Christan Monk and by that time much of Europe was Christian. Dionysius Exiguus lived 500 years after you think Christ did. He had just as much proof for him as you do, not more. The system was not adopted when Christ was born becasue everyone reognized his greatness at the time. No "old long book" will mention BC prior to c. 525.

Also I never said "the bible" or "god", just religion. Also I think what you ment to say was "God does not CONDONE killing" not "God does not condemn killing" the latter phrase (the one you said) means god does approve of killing. I think the speeches he gave and the fact that he was never excommunicated from the Catholic Church are a better argument for Hitler being a believer. I've seen a documentary on The National Geographic Channel were they compare what he wrote in Mein Kampf to what actually happened and he basically rewrote his own history to make himself look better and more heroic (if you're a racist). Flavius Josephus's Books of the History of the Jewish War against the Romans. Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War. Those three should be enough because you used the phrase `there is not one...`

You do know that the AD BC system was adopted in the Western world in 525 by Dionysius Exiguus, a Christan Monk and by that time much of Europe was Christian. Dionysius Exiguus lived 500 years after you think Christ did. He had just as much proof for him as you do, not more. The system was not adopted when Christ was born becasue everyone reognized his greatness at the time. No "old long book" will mention BC prior to c. 525.

History books written by Christians talk about Christs time of being on earth, other history books don't. Also realy history books don't use BC/AD anymore. Also I never said "the bible" or "god", just religion. Also I think what you ment to say was "God does not CONDONE killing" not "God does not condemn killing" the latter phrase (the one you said) means god does approve of killing. Also I God does not condemn it, why does he ask Moses to kill people after he gave him the command not to? If you knew the historical context the 10 commandments appeared in you would know that the commands apply only to other Jews.

I think the speeches he gave and the fact that he was never excommunicated from the Catholic Church are a better argument for Hitler being a believer. I've seen a documentary on The National Geographic Channel were they compare what he wrote in Mein Kampf to what actually happened and he basically rewrote his own history to make himself look better and more heroic (if you're a racist). In other words his "autobiography" is nothing more than propaganda.

You'll have read the direct translations of Hitlers words and not the English translation of a French translation of the original German, right? You'll have read what Hitler actually said and not just rely on what a 3rd party claims that he said. Or wait, have you even read the entirety of this book at all?

@GeeKayKayGee Hitler's Secret Conversations is a translation of a document called the "Bormann-Vermerke" or Borrman endorsements. They are a collection of hand written notes made by Martin Bormann who was Hitler's personal secretary during the war. Bormann is known to have been an extraordinarily powerful figure in Nazi Germany and a notorious opponent of Christianity.

Oh so now you say Bormann opposed christianity. So Bormann being so powerful, could write anything and say "Hitler said it!". Published after the war, it's not like Hitler could ever say "Hay that's not what I said!".

I could only assume since Bormann published in the years after 1944 that they would have been at least reviewed.

@EternalTheology Do you think it is significant that we can have this argument at all? Consider, these quotes, words, translations, matters of record that we are disputing, are in regard to an event which people still living took part in (WW2). We have printed words, film archives, audio tapes, photographs and yet still we can debate what was said and what was meant. Yet 2000 year old stories are claimed to be absolutely, 100% true, factual and accurate. Seem likely to you?

Well the stories are much older than 2000 Years of age, Secondly "most" of the accounts which are recorded have more than one source of documentation. The same type of question can be raised, About other event in the pass which have some historical truths.

@EternalTheology Consider this. Elvis Presley is well known and there are hundreds of pictures of him but there are also hundreds of Elvis look alikes. If I showed you 19 fakes and 1 real Elvis picture could you choose the real one? How many fanatical Elvis fans could accurately choose the real one? How accurate were the memories of those who claimed to recognize the risen christ?

@EternalTheology I'm saying that the biblical claims of a risen Jesus have no valid support. I'm saying that it easy to mistake one person for another, particularly in a time when identification of a third party relied on personal testimony, 'Who's that guy?' 'Oh that's Jesus, I saw him once at a feast'. I'm saying that even with 20th century hard data in our hands we can still argue as to what a most infamous man actually said or really meant.

Which you will not find because the Community of Eye witnesses who wrote these passages, Had their all of there accounts put into one book. Also understand that the Roman Empire burnt down area's in which they would have kept documentation of Jesus.

What? What? What is that even supposed to mean? What witnesses, who put their words on paper where? Mathew? Mark, Luke John, were they Eye witnesses? Were they of the same age, did all 4 meet and collaborate on what to write?
4000 years of wars and sand storms and pillaging yet more is known of minor egyptian citizens than of jesus.

I am saying you cannot get anymore evidence out of the context of the Bible for the Resurrection of Jesus because all the evidence was put in one book so it defeats the purpose of looking outside of the bible.

So a wandering sculptor could not have made a marble sculptor of christ on the cross? A passing greek couldn't mark paid on a clay tablet bill for the sale of a 'Pontius Pilot for the Win!' T-Shirts? It's impossible that any coins were struck saying 'I saw the Risen Christ' value 1 Dinar? That type of evidence exists for others why not for Jesus?

Such as General and Statesmen, Jesus wasn't a Rich man. Secondly Jesus does have a numerous amounts of Sculptures and paintings. But they are carved long after he died.
